This printer is a piece of shit. I have owned one for 2 years and have used it tenderly, and suddenly, one day, it started printing funny...advancing the paper improperly. After trying to clean the rollers and checking for jams, it stopped working altogether, by saying there was a paper jam. It's not even worth taking in for service because it's a cheap Chinese-made piece of crap. It will be getting smashed to bits tomorrow via sledgehammer.

I had that same problem too, no scan options. Go to HP.com, select you product (HP officejet j4680 all-in-one, and then look at the product alerts. There will be one that says something like "solution center scan and status problems after upgrading Vistas to Windows 7," click and get the patch. This will fix the solution center. I'm am still working to fix the scan feature on the printer itself and I will post if I find a solution to that, but at least you can scan through the solution center.

@ilovesniperswoohoo If everything is working properly on this printer and it's HP imaging device you just put in whatever you want to scan on the glass aligning the paper to the bottom right corner, then pust the right side arrow on the control board (the one with OK in the center) until you find Scan Color option. Press the OK button and the rest pretty much explains itself. Post a commnet on my channel if you have anymore questions and I'll try to help.

I just bought this garbage and am returning it tomorrow. every time u pull the plug the setting reset and it goes to german default language. Resting the language worked once, and now that resetting feature only worked once and no longer is resetting to factory settings, so fuck this garbage!!

um... yea we have had this printer for less than 4 months (brand new) and it's already busted. All of a sudden it turns on, but nothing happens. You can tell it is on because when you unplug/plug it in, a black square moves about five spaces from the left to the right and then just sits there. It won't respond to ANYTHING except unplugging and replugging in its power cord. Is anybody able to provide some helpful suggestion?

i have purchased this product works awesome. i bought it from a company called officetronics the first time who scammed me. sold me a refurbished one and told me it was new. officetronics is a scam. after being scammed by officetronics i went to tigerdirect and got it. works great no problems with the unit. i recommend it to anyone just watchout for a company called officetronics who sales products real cheap and passes them off as new when they are used and refurbished.
