Ovi Suite - one of the main reasons why you shouldn't buy another Nokia phone. You'll be forced to install this piece of turd on your computer, and PC Suite does not work with the newer phones.

My gosh.. i've waited sooo long for major improvement on the Nokia Ovi Suite 3.0... and now that it's here, the major improvement is a new Home screen, and features aimed at trying to sell us CONTENT?!! wtf.. There are soo many things they can trully improve on.. heck the nokia PC Suite was faster, and in a lot of ways more efficient in texting .. like when i have to reply to 10 messages, i can outbox each of my reply and then send them all at once.. w/ Ovi suite....

@TheBrownChiLD .... , w OVi Suite, i have to send each sms 1 at a time, meaning every time I send an SMS i have to wait for the other one to be sent coz the darn thing has to refresh every single time!! ... argg.. downloding OVI Suite V3 now.. i really hope there are other good more practical things in there.. *cross fingers* .. coz to be honest the major reason i went and got Nokia N8 vs Samsung wave is the OVI Suite w/c is vital to me and high sms traffic daily

Great, it'll be even more sluggish than the current Ovi Suite which is already extremely slow. I call that a bloatware. Nokia is shooting in its own foot. They already lost the smartphone war.

Sometimes i wish i could control Nokia s heads for only the development of one mobile phone.. it would definitly be better than the all crazy phones they have now... but the coming n9? looks very good with qwerty but WHY not a super amoled display? or retina display?? the only think nokia is good is camera! but the rest is SHI...T. For example i have now the E5. Its pritty good, but why the bad camera? the camera is really bad, i would give 20-30$ more for a better camera, ...

i don't know why. but downloading maps data or guided voice data from the suite (current version, not this beta) is slow, and not stable. I hope the version 3 improves the map thing.

There are tons of tools for organizing music, how about you give us what has been available in Nokia PC Suite for a long time, CALENDAR MANAGEMENT!

Your new slogan should be - Nokia: Trying to Copy Apple

Concentrate on your strong parts Nokia, lots of functionality. You fail to improve the user experience and in the meantime ruin the functionality by stripping lots of things away. You can't edit tags and such on the N8, Calendar is missing "Memo" etc..

@Vitruviux I think you can already with 2.x sync calendar with at least thunderbird and outlook? Never used it though.. I never use a calendar with a PC.. rather keep it only in phone.

I think nokia is going to right direction with Ovi Suite.. improve it piece by piece.

@akse112 You have to have Outlook installed, the thing is, I don't use Outlook and I'm installing it because of Ovi Suite, I use Sunbird, they should allow you to sync with Sunbird till they hopefully implement the old proper calendar management.

Nonetheless, i know i would never buy an iPhone no matter what... Nokia, HTC HD7, or Acer smartphones... but iPhone is the absolute 'no no no' for me

They either have totally revamp the Symbian OS... structure-wise and User Interface-wise as well as be more generous with the processors in the Nokia machines...

They are generous and fantastic when it comes to memory space, camera resolution, specs, and such things but totally behind in processors... opposite of the rest of the mobile brands... that is why i still prefer Nokia above others... i love the specs they offer in a phone...

all the touchsreen phone are getting a massive update

and same with N8

next year Q1 will be the massive over haul

next month will be the upgraded browser for symbianOS
