Gameplay looks a lot better than DMC4. I've never played this but I heard it was the best so far, that DMC2 had a lower difficulty and was basically too easy, and I own the DMC3&4 sooooo.......is there going to be a fifth in the series that explains where Virgil is now and how Nero fits into the family?

one of the BEST games ive played in my life. i still remember how i was shivering and sweating when i faced the puppets the first time. this game ALSO had the feeling AND aura of being alone yet being a tough guy. it made you feel SCARED. it made you stay on the edge of your seat like 'oh no.whats gonna happen now?!?!?'. too bad the sequels and prequel of the game LACKED the same aura, not saying that the sequels and prequel are bad, except for DMC 2.

i just bought this game and i played for only 5 minutes and already hated it. its so cheesy and crappy. she threw a fucking motorcycle at him and he had time to make some stupid comment and whip out his guns and spin them around a bunch of times before shooting the shit out of the motorcycle. then i start actually playing and it still sucks.

unfortunately its true.... fucking capcom... I live in germany and bought the european version of course. for a bargain price. not only does it have pal bars on the top and the bottom, so dante looks pretty shrinked and the pal application os so bad done, the game is much slower on the EU version, he walks slower and everything. I feel really punked... i will soon have a modded ps2 so I will be able to play NTSC games but im not sure if I wanna play this game a 2nd time. too unfair

Yeah I think its funny how many people don't understand the timeline to the 4 Devil May Crys. The correct chronological order is DMC3, DMC1, DMC4, and DMC2. (Though most people don't count 2, since it completely sucks). The final devil arm Dante recieves in DMC3 is the very first one he starts with in DMC1 as it is.

My favorite would have to be DMC3 special edition. Of course DMC1 is still a great game, and was downright amazing for its time.

Are you sure thats the right order? I read that the correct order was DMC 3,4, the anime, 1 and 2. Feel free to correct me if I am wrong. To me, DMC 3 SE and DMC 4 are best. I like SE for its extra content, slightly easier difficulty, and to play as Vergil. I like DMC 4 for Nero, because he's badass.

Well for the anime aspect of it I am unsure since I haven't been able to see it, so I cleaerly can't give my judgement of it. But yes I am fairly sure it is DMC1 THEN DMC4. The biggest piece of evidence I can think of to show you to back that up, is how Dante MEETS Trish in the very beggining of DMC1, however in DMC4 she is obviously already shown/seen as Dante's colleague (as she seemed to become at the very end of DMC1).

IDK why, but this game almost has the reflection of Resident Evil. Cause of the camera, and things you fight. But, you actually have a sword, guns, and you can move around more.

@createDXemnas yeah, since this is the first you don't have many weapons. also you can get skills for each weapon, for example you have to buy stinger(lock on button + attack+ dante's forward) or the skill for when you go into devil mode, you can float in the air and shoot lightning (Alastor) you should play this game, and then play DMC3. skip DMC 2, don't ask why, just do.

I've never played any of the DMC games. Please tell me that the camera's constant jumpyness is only in this game (or more preferrably, this mission). I can handle a fixed camera, but it was jumping everytime you moved to another part of the room.

By the way, Dante also appears in Shin Megami Tensei: Nocturne. It's a dark RPG (Actually, It's my favorite RPG). He's not the main character but you can get him if your level are high enough. Play the game if you're really his true fans.
