  • @MrHichamrami also, sorry, i accidentally deleted your second post. this was not intentional. it was just a mistake. you had asked why they lift the trailers in the air instead of like a regular dump truck.

  • @MrHichamrami these are 53' foot trailers that weigh about 85,000 pounds loaded(without the tractor). having on-board hydraulics to lift that kind of weight would cut down considerably the amount of weight they can haul, not to mention the cost of those hydraulics. better to have one set of hydraulics at the dump sites than each thousands of trucks carrying them around wherever they go. there are 'chip' trucks that do unload their own loads. they go to smaller places without a dump ramp.

  • I let my buddy take a ride on one of those dumpers at HARMAC on VANCOUVER IS !! Scared the living shit out of him!!

  • 0_o why need to do that ???

  • @MrHichamrami they take the wood chips from lumber mills and this mill turns them into paper products.

  • Why don't you use tipping trailers?

  • @Zeamus634 the added weight of for a tipping trailer is less they can haul. DC Chambers made owner ops take off one of the fuel tanks so they would get the extra weight on.

  • @freightliner450 georgia pacific, wauna

  • man, that shit was hangin on!

  • it sure was. thanks for commenting!

  • @m16figure8 I'll bet that some sort of big-assed vibrator clamped onto the dump bed would help to shake that stuff loose. Wonder if they use something like that on any of these lifts?

  • why slow for dumping?

  • i'm not sure i understand the question...

  • cool vid.i used to run chips from usk washington to castlegar canada and back. they had a platform that lifted the whole truck, cab and all.

  • thanks. i unloaded a load of grain (out of a dry van) like that once where they picked up both tractor and trailer. would've been cool to sit in the seat while they did it...

thanks for stopping by and commenting!

  • they are called wet kit for the walking floors

  • 5 starz for such a nice dump,...lol

every thing just seemed to come out so smoothly lol

  • over here in the UK we mostly use walking floor woob chip trailers

    nice vid garry!

  • yes, we have those here also. i like watching this method of dumping, however. more things to go wrong. thanks for watching!

  • I have just uploaded a vid u might like, its just short but i will get a better one soon.

    Cheers garry

  • hi mate wots the chips used for .

  • they make paper out of it. this mill makes consumer products-toilet paper, paper towels etc.

  • thanks thout it might have been for bedding .

  • wow that was cool especially at the end they just all fall out. Sweet vid!

  • it is cool to watch them unload chips. i have actually unloaded potatos this way, to a potato chip plant. thanks for commenting!

  • Awesome video!

How those take a weight for with loaded of woodchips?

  • the weight of the chips is around 32 tons. the gross weight of the truck and trailer is 50 tons. thanks for commenting!

  • Wow, that too heavy for it!

    And, your welcome! :)

  • Ever had one break loose and wind up in the hopper? I picked (with my crane) the rear trailer (doubles pup), out of the hopper at the Newberg mill once. Not sure how it happened. Nobody was talking much. It was kinda tricky rigging and getting it out of there, but we got 'er without a scratch.

  • see LittleTrucker1972's comment above. she's seen that happen. i haven't had the pleasure yet. i bet it was fun pulling it out, i'd like to see that someday.

  • great video

  • thanks for dropping by and commenting!

  • Is This WhAt YoU CaLL HaVeing A ChIppEr DaY =)

    >>->

  • i would say so!

  • Like i said my Company makes some wood works too..And we have 6 Walking floors are running with wood chips around Austria..

You are right they are very heavy..

Some WF are hauling wood chips to the mill and paper back tp the warehouse..

  • I come back at watch it again..

I wonder why the truck can' dump their trailer by their own.You just need a hydraulic tank on you tractor..

  • these guys typically haul over 30 tons of chips. the trailers are very light weight to haul this kind of weight. it's more cost effective to unload this way.

  • Are you sure??

With a hydraulic i can unload where ever i want..

I saw some of this ah..How you called this ahh..

I saw this in Poland unloading apples..

They haul apples in normal trailers..

  • over here they have what we call 'walking floor' trailers that you can use to unload where there is no ramp. the trucks in this video always haul to a place that 'dumps' the chips like this. the trucks with the walking floors cannot haul as much net weight due to the extra weight of the hydraulics and the actual shape of the trailer.

  • Paper??my company delivers some paper companies with liquid lime..

  • liquid lime, huh? i usually haul finished product out of this mill. paper towels, napkins, bathroom tissue. sometimes i bring in scrap paper to be recycled into these products.

  • Is rico rodrieguz trucking out of stinky fart washington

  • could be. like i said, i didn't get a real good look. i'm not a chip hauler myself. thanks for watching and commenting, though.

  • Let me guess. M&M transport? Chehalis washington.

  • not sure who was dumping the chips. i don't think it was m&m. i didn't get a name on the truck, but i think it was a brown peterbuilt.

  • Should have come out faster, must have been moist? I used to be a chip hauler. Saw a guy put his trailer in the hopper. It was a hydraulic dump wagon and he forgot to lock it down. Shut the dumper down for 3 days!!

  • i personally don't know much about it. this was probably about 65,000# of chips. i had to edit cause the ramp got stuck and wouldn't go up all the way and it took awhile to get it up far enuff to dump the whole load. seems like these loads never come out till the ramp is all the way up.

  • Ok seriously your vids KICKASS I wish they had an hour long vid like this & this clip fades into your ship clip & so on I find it relaxing...oh & btw I thought that was that GTI truck jake brake'n like that untill i seen that pete then it was obvious...anyway great job as useual bro...take care

  • yeah, the pete was coming up the highway offramp right behind where i was taping. thanks for all the kind comments. need to see some more from you, too! have a great evening.

  • In Wauna? This was really cool to watch, Gary. You quality is sure excellent!

  • yup, wauna mill. first time i've set the camera to high quality. thought i'd try it out. uses up the battery a lot quicker, but pretty good results.

  • VERY good results! Is this "the" Wauna "MILL"?

  • the one and only...

  • I've been there. Just was wondering. VERY cool video. I only got to see the office part and where they make the paper. Not this part. Way cool.
