So if you download a game it will most likely be illegal however if you get in contact with nintendo and the games developer and ask them foe permission to use their game and theyagree it is all legal.

first of all: LEARN TO SPELL

second, this is completely legal except for some things you may put on it like ROMS and illegally downloaded music like from LimeWire. Even though those are illegal, cops aren't going to care unless they actually somehow find out about it and it's a huge offense (hundreds of songs illegally downloaded)

it does not affect your DS at all. you can eject the cartridge and use real games anytime. Video is decent, but dont expect it to be like a computer...

Agreed, I got AKi and it works for my DS lite. Unfortunatley the actual cartridge itself is crappy and half of the time I stick it in my ds it doesnt read, and I gotta push the card in real hard. (Although for some reason that never occured on my sisters dsi) But ima get an r4 for the heck of it, its only 10 bucks anyways.

Write protected means you can't change anything on it. Look around on Google to try to find a program to make it so that you can write to it.

Well i currently own one of the the new r4's, which come in black. And if you mean the old ds(the first ones), i reccomend the R4 becuz wen i bought my r4, i had the "phat" ds also and it worked perfectly though i got so sick of the bad display on the old R4 and i wanted to enjoy my games to the fullest, so i sold my ds phat on craigslist and got me a beautiful refurbished ds lite off of ebay.

Chances are, that you have the new R4. Is your's black by any chance. This video is quite old and im guessing he posses the old R4. I have heard many cases of R4's springs breaking rendering them useless so i guess the new ones dont include springs fortunately.

I would not recommend buying the R4 on DX, (Deal Extreme) many of the site users on the Forum told me why they sell for so cheap, because most of the carts there are Fake.
