  • My rottie does the same thing i also taught her to bark when asked to say please, like you it took a whole lot of dog treats to train her but every once in a while she gets stubborn and refuses to roll over or play dead unless i have a treat in exchange.

  • easiest dogs in the world to work with. i dont use any treats with my rotties. just LOTS of love and praise. my 2 y/o is my service dog. people are VERY supprised to see a rotty as a service dog. lol. its fun. i have a few videos of my rotts.

  • I help out at Dogs Trust and we actually had a stray Rottweiler come in the other week who knew 'bang'. He was getting tubby from the amount of treats people were giving him for reacting to it and falling 'dead'. Got homed super quickly too!

  • Holy Shit, hes beautiful. I too have a rottie/pitbull mix also named Louie. I just uploaded a video on him and watched it and this was in the recommended. What a coincidence... Mines 14 months old and 80lbs

  • @carlaitch lots of cookies! haha. i don't know how other people do it, but i taught him to roll over first, then would stop him mid-roll and repeat "bang". later i incorporated the finger gun and just kept making sure he knew the difference between rolling over and playing dead.

  • @scisab22 thanks very much will try it my rottie is just so dosy though so its quite hard to teach him things it takes him ages to pick up on thinngs

  • @carlaitch just stay consistent and he will get it! they are incredibly smart dogs.

  • @scisab22 How to you get em to drop? When my rotti rolls he lays down then rools and she's still young so her rolls are still very slow... I love this trick i watch this video like once a week just to see and get ideas!
