I am a straight hetrosexual guy and I just watched this movie and completely fell in love with it. Simply told and executed with two of the most gorgeous and likeable leads I've ever seen in any film and the fact that they were women made absolutely no difference I just got lost in the story. I looked on Amazon to see about an orginal ending and glad to see there is; how's about tacking this on the end of the movie, Miss Brooks?! I'm a diehard romantic what more can I say....

the original ending, i thought was too tragic, so i'm glad they gave us some closure and leeway with this extended ending. i'm so happy that it looks like they end up together in the end!

this ending is more realistic to me. It says that these two peoples love had consequences since annabelle was still legally a child and teachers are expected to be responsible. without risk love is only a half measure. BUt the original is more romantic.

I love this movie, but I don't want them to make a second one. This ending pretty much wraps it up, and I don't know how they could keep the story going with a second one.

no affence, i loved this movie so much, it really touched me. But, use are all saying that use liked neither of these endings and that you want a "loving annabelle 2" Personally, i liked both endings. Dont get me wrong, but i thought a good movie left you wanting more? And both endings definatly do. Also, if a loving annabelle 2 was relised, it wouldn't be as good as the first one.

Aww... I think this should have been the official ending. The newspaper article scene gave me butterflies. Although the perfect ending would have been this plus them reuniting with a kiss. :D I would have liked to have seen what happens when annabelle gets to simone's beach house.

I think it is a happy ending. We see Annabelle finding out that Simone won't be getting in trouble and then Annabelle goes down to Simone's house to see her. It leaves hope that they'll stay together.

I like this ending better because, I feel that the audience should feel that Annabelle, and Simone will get back together again besides, not having to guess if they will or, if Simone will get charged or something like that. not which ruins the flow of the movie in a big way if you think about it. :)

@LenzieRamirez260 I didn't like them either but I think that Katherine Brooks didn't want a "happy ending" like most films because in real life, a teacher having a relationship with a student would harbor harsher punishment. I would have preferred a happier outcome and neither one really made it right with me but I understand where the director was coming from.

I don't think that it's Danger Flowers singing this version of the song. In some places the notes are higher than in the version sung at the dance. Katherine Brooks, the director, said that Erin Kelly could sing but her voice was higher and she was looking for a bass kind of voice. Could the person singing "All Over Me" in the alternate ending be Erin Kelly. Any thoughts on this anyone?

It's the alternate ending to the movie. It's on the DVD. Instead of being caught the next morning - Simone and Annabelle aren't caught in Simone's bedroom. This is the alternate ending being shown.

No, in this one they are caught still. It's really more of an extended ending. Where in the real ending, we see them take Simone away and that's about it, in this one we find out that no charges are filed and Annabelle goes to be with Simone.
