I am a big Patron Oswalt fan, so I am looking forward to seeing his performance in this movie. It looks like a pretty good time, although it seems like the trailer doesn't do the movie proper justice. I'll see how it goes.

I'm not super interested in this movie. I'm not a fan of awkward movies or awkward moments, and this seems like a whole lot of awkward. I'll probably just skip it and maybe catch it on netflix, but probably not.

While I liked Up in the Air and Juno more, I still enjoyed this movie. I'm right at about 3.5/5. I think Charlize is great but I wanted a little more of an arc.

unlike American schools, in the Bahamas, getting beaten in school with a cane was practiced, and now that i'm an adminsitrator in a highschool, being disciplined in such a manner still happens, not to mention the students wear uniforms that must be flawless. But ignorant youth always finds a way, so we had the same woes as American students with the popular girls, and the proms, and the rest of it.

Great review as per usual. I did get to see this one too, and I also really enjoyed it. The acting was just fantastic - and a lot of really subtle, dialogue free moments from Charlize Theron. Did you catch all those moments where her character eavesdrops on teenage girls to get accurate dialogue? I thought that might be Diablo Cody's way of sort of making a joke about how people decried Juno for not sounding like real teenagers. I mean, "Honest to blog"... no one's ever said.

Favourite return-to-high-school type movie: Grosse Point Blank.

I was a non-entity at high-school; the type that never appears in movies like this. You have the freaks>the outcasts>the losers>...

Fortunately, university was a far more successful endeavour.

At least, it was third time around (took a while to find my niche).
