saw him last week -- Aug 26, 2011 at the CNE. Had a great time. He truly is a wonderful person and talented musician. Loved his new song. Hope it becomes available soon for purchase.

  • Very well done..RWB

  • Awesome to see he is still at it.

I saw a few that he sang with his daughter. That was priceless.

Mr. Sedaka has always been one of my favorite singers.

I hope everyone signs the petition to get inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall Of Fame. He is way over due for it and well deserving.

    ;)

    Thank you for sharing.

  • He's a great guy--what a witty idea to do with his old songs. Inspirational!

  • I am sooo happy I stumbled upon this. This made my day. Fucking - A.

  • Awesome

  • Thak you very much Mr. Sedaka.

  • Isn't it sad that today's music industry DETERMINES FOR US what kind of music is "in"...hip-hop, Lady Ga-Ga etal. Neil Sedaka is all class and living legend who has literally provided the soundtrack of our youth...I tip my hat to you, Mr. Sedaka! Thank you for all of these great years!

  • Just magical, a real blast from the past thanks.

  • Mabuhay Neil Sedaka! you're the king!

  • Goosebumps! What a man! Seems so nice and friendly! All the best to You Neil Sedaka!

  • It's practically a crime that he hasn't been inducted previously. It's high time!!!!!!!!

  • Neil wrote my favorite song of all time.

    SUMMER SYMPHONY:

It was Jack Gold who made the hit out of it in 1971.

    Leslie Gore never charted

Summer Symphony;but her box set that costs well over $120 is called

    A SUMMER SYMPHONY.

The Jack Gold version is by far the most beautiful arrangement of Summer Symphony.

I would like to see that song rereleased

    on an oldies compelation sometime.

  • Mercury Records released Summer Symphony as the B side of Lesley Gore's single, 98.6/Lazy Day. Summer Symphony is included on the Bear Family Box set. You can find this set on Ebay from time to time.

  • Miss your music Neil!

  • A fine composer and singer plus a perfect gentleman. Way to go Neil!! Greetings from sunny San Juan, which by the way you first visited on the mid sixties!

  • this is neil sedaka, a classy man!

btw, hes a sephardic jew, from greece by way of spain. go neil!

  • He is 'classy.' Thank you for a kind comment.

    Jennie.

  • Plays, sings and writes his own material. His live shows are amazing. Not just an oldies show, he does classical, salsa, rock and roll, beautiful love songs, all his own compositions. I have seen him "in one" (just the man and his piano), with a rock band (in Vegas) and with a symphony orchestra ( he has written words to some well know classical pieces which he plays and sings). His voice is strong and the energy level is high. He should be in the r&r hall of fame.

  • Hehehe, what a class gentleman he is, and always has been. I don't giggle too easily, but I did when he changed it to "Lunch Will Keep Us Together." It wasn't a ridiculing giggle...but one of admiration. We surely need more guys like him in the music industry.

  • He's too clean,he needs to be vulgar ,do drugs or like MJ,touch little boyss,....... only then ....

  • Thanks, This is so warm and inspirational. It is so refreshing to see such a nice guy in the music industry.

Too many musicians are high on drugs / angry and vulgar.

    This man... steady !!

  • Thank you for leaving such a lovely comment to read. It makes a refreshing change!

Neil is a talented person, and, a gentleman too.

    Take care.

  • I didn't know that Neil is almost as good a pianist as Judith Durham.

  • Neil was a child prodigy and attended Juliard School of Music and was going to be a classical pianist. He won the Arthur Rubenstein competition when was he was very young. Then he started writing pop music, and then launched his own singing career.

  • The Consumate Master ! A real man who can Both Play AND SING. I hope he lives an thousand years ! God must love him ! His Best Work !

  • @JakeTher , play and sing like the great "Nat King Cole".

  • @Brando0307 Back in the early 1970s the songwriters hall of fame was just getting around to inducting hoagy carmichael in more recent years they let rock writers in brian wilson john sebastian burt bacharach ...
