  • I love that this points out everything right on this video, Social Media is pretty much around us, It has to do with conversion and the interest with people.

  • Love you Darren....YOU ARE SOOO RIGHT I LOVE IT ! Definitely going to be glued to all you say :) @RuthieAppleby (standing up and applauding )

  • This is so me everybody always says i make friends easy and that i have alot of friends!!!

  • What I just wrote sounds so pessimistic, but I know I could improve a lot. I don't necessarily have to be the life of the party, but I could become their sidekick, if you know what I mean. Or should I aspire to be the life of the party. I'm going to try it and see if I get there - who knows!

  • This is really great and spot on. I have been trying to improve my social skills, and I definitely notice who's the life of the party. I have been thinking about how to become more like them, and you definitely captured a lot of what I've been thinking and more. I don't know if I could ever become the life of the party as they are usually someone who is very funny or smart, at least the ones whose community I'd like to be a part of, and I'm not sure how funny or creative I could become...

  • very nice video:) but i think ur'e born with these social skills.. its hard to teach anyone to be more social and talkative with ppl

  • When I watched this, I imagined myself at a party and plugged in the situations you described. It's virtually an exact analogue. The Social Media engagement, when done well, is eye-to-eye, dialogue-driven, question and answer. Not coincidentally, the video blog takes this to a whole different level.

    Great idea.

  • Once again, an inciteville post, my friend. I hadn't really made the connection between party conversations and social media, but, you are exactly right. "To have friends, you must show yourself friendly" as the scripture says. No one wants to talk with someone who is just relaying facts in a dry fashion, but, if you can tell what you have to say like you are talking to your best friend, it makes it more interesting. The key is to be yourself. This was very good. Gpd Bless

  • I see your link between the two. This video kind of gave me the creeps because there is a whole community of peopled based on what you described called PUA's; Aka Pick up artists. I understand your point though, it was just kind of weird to watch for me though.

  • I gravitated toward people who have interesting stories. I'm seeing that everywhere on the internet lately as a method of improving web writing, and I'm trying to incorporate that on my blog. What's so attractive about a great story is usually that the storyteller has a great sense of humor, they recognize what's appropriate, what others find funny, and they're not too self-conscious where they can't comfortably talk about themselves.

  • Great information! I am going to Tweet this now. (your friendly stalker...Naked Girl)
