As a father of two sons, all I can say is ......wow. This movie came out before my sons were born and I didn't really like it then. Guess I couldn't relate back then. But now that I have sons of my own, I see his pain. Great job and perfect song.
@crazydave210 yes it was., tragicly she died in a car accdent without wearing her seatbelt her and a couple friends . , there are other actresses with her same name but yep that's her alright.
I can not say enough good stuff about this vid. Seriously, think of any good comment and apply it. The choice of the song with the "hard" end was great, the choice of the fight with Kali (hope i got the name right) was a great choice. The choice of movie clips used was great. Awesome job.
people dont really care about the other crow movies because brandon lee gave such a big impact and now that hes gone nobody cares i cant watch this makes me think of brandon.... :(
I agree! A lot of folks don't care much for ANY other Crows or Crow movies. Of course, there is no comparison to Brandon Lee; but this one is definitely worth seeing.
evanescence brings out meaning in this vid i love it big fan of both the crow and evanescence but when you put them together i woulda never thought it would work out this good...i really love this video
Do you people have to be rude to eachother??? I mean My god. You speak some fowl words, I mean come on for christ sakes. Calm the hell down, There is no needs to act stupide and rude to eachother. It is hella rude ok? God. If you do not like this then do not comment! It wastes ur time and everyone elses. Learn to be nice!!! It will pay you off big time. And I love all the crow movies and this song. Try not to be so mean. ^.^ Thanxx.
but yeah,if someone does break the law then that wrong, thats what they are doing, but its the choice to cross the line and express the feelings in the movie, that has a sort of a fantasy element to it.plus its a nice little love story i think!
you wouldnt believe it but i hate getting phylosophical about things :)
What's still not making sence to me is: how can anyone really love-for real, and yet be able to harm others like in those movies? It doesn't make sence in my mind!
well you must have a very strong sense of right and wrong, which is a good thing really.i mean i always said to myself, that watching that film with tom cruise where he plays the futuristic cop who lost his son,the only thing he had in his life and then finds out that he was taken from him and he finds the evidence in the room and the man who supposedly did all things he did,and the cop whos job it is to do the right thing and who has to have self-control in dealing with
the film tells you what is going to happen, but i always say shoot him.
and i always thought that if that was me where i had to act accordingly i would have done the same.then towards the end when he stops and starts reading the mans rights(which is quite moving and always gets me)i always say he is a better man than me.then you realise he did do the right thing.
I don't know the movie you mentioned, but I think I understand. Surely he'd be a better man than you are since you're a woman ;)
I think of mother instincts, of protecting the cubs, then it's when animals get dangerous. I could imagine my mom act out like that ',D. Sometimes she does in a way.
As for me, I don't know about right or wrong. I do as I feel. I want to be friendly with all and wish to avoid the infliction of painful intensions, whether it is done to me or by me to some one else (a thought which actually frightens me). Have we not felt pain once we we're acknowledged about Ashe's story? We can feel the pain of others if we're just open to hear it. Just like the major bad guy in the final battle in the first Crow movie. He felt the suffering he had caused.
and some are just driven by these emotions.gary oldman once said in an interview about making the of the movie that was based on his personal life.that dealing with the past and those emotions and showing them so all could see was incredibly freeing for him.and i guess that true in this, like what the film says in the beginning about resting the soles
like the character is the anti-hero!where to some its plain as white where he becomes the hero and to others its different shades of grey.forgiveness is a powerful thing it takes alot to forgive certain actions but it also takes alot to not forgive.and thats were things get complicated, when you dont follow the set rules.
well things are personal to people in different ways, some see and feel differently about things compared to others, some may see something small and insignificant and others may think that nothing is trivial.some see the positive in a negative and others open their eyes to the hiden brutalilities that are happening in societies,to people the planet etc.some dont believe in karma and see the only way out is by not waiting for the hero to come save things but taking things in there own hands
well sometimes its about putting someone else before yourself, and doing that person justice cause remember, they never did catch the people who did it.
But is that what they deserve? After all, the meaning of karma is only to cause a person who has hurt someone else to understand what he did to the other. You don't learn that by more pain-they probably had enough pain if they did what they did. Like Buffy's Angel-his greatest suffering came for his soul understanding morally the suffering he inflicted. Giving a person the ability to love again, you earn back a soul which also regrets. The abusers/victims are only scared understanding what?
sorry to go on :)but the thing with angelus(trying to remember from years ago)was that he was driven by his basic needs, had no regret or remorse for his actions, was basically dead inside, the curse was to make him open his eyes to the suffering he caused,to feel pain, love and anger and to have compassion for the victims and feel the pain and he suffered.extreme pain and suffering is a powerful thing and can destroy someone, the pain, guilt, love and anger, all powerful emotions can drive people to
:)No sorrow. I love phylosofical debates. When I feel I'm not clear enough to be patient towards a different opinion, I prefere stoping. Still somtimes I can't help my self ',)especially since you reminded me of a self corecting I wanted to put in and thought it too much-regaurding karma: that pain eventually teaches compassion. Angel is a great example for that too.
Anyway I'll try keeping your words in mind. They bear truth.
Because the boy and his father were wronged and suffered, more violence should be inflicted in to the world? The father should want to heal the world from these terros- not creat more of them! That's how I feel.
In the first movie, it was too clear why Eric is doing everything he does. Him being overwhelemd it obvious.
But here, when the woman is helpless and wounded (really like abird) (4:10) it just made me felt now she is just like the poor little son. As a father he should've seen that resemlance saying "Dear God -no more!"
thats why these films are so powerful, its the revenge and the pain that drives them and the coldness inturn that is shown back with no weakness of mercy drive to bring justice in its own way.that may seem cold and wrong to some but its healing those old wounds.
In loving, missing, and grieving someone causing the same to others doesn't help a person to heal his self. It's more like a trauma that hasn't been worked out- it's bound to recreate it's self. That's keeping the expirience of suffering still happening. The only difference as to who it happens to, is when we don't know their story.
What I mean is like fire vs. fire just creates more fire. You need water to win out fire.
in the society you've learned to live in a certain way follow certain rules, and you allow law, whatever to take over, but here its different its acting and doing what is not white as white, its crossing the line and taking justice in its own hands, something many would wish for but dont, who do go along and do do the right thing(if thats what you call it)and its incredibly moving to see this drive of love and pain, its basically showing you the fantasy of it all.nothing is always as plainas it seems.

In response to TribalStudios18: italianbloke is half right. They did it because they didnt want the word to get out and because they wanted to torment Ashe before he died. I didnt like all the ruthless killing either but it does teach you a lesson about the killers. They were so ruthless, yet they were scared of getting caught. Funny how people changed when Ashe got them alone aint it?
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
I hate this movie cuz it was such horrible attempt at big hollywood cannabilizing the first one just to make some bucks. This franchise had so much potential...
I agree with TribalStudios18. I still don't understand why those drug dealers would kill Ashe and Danny, unless it was maybe because Ashe and Danny witnessed the killing and the drug dealers didn't want it getting to anybody.
Got ur reply. Yea I had only seen The Crow: City of Angels like once when I made that comment. And I didn't even see 1/2 of the movie when I did see it that time. It took me having to rent it to catch on to the story.
I first found Flaw whlie watching late-night TV. By chance I left the channel on some underground wrestling (which I don't watch) but I came in the room and they were on...I bought the cd the next day, great band.
I agree the music video was well made....BUT So what if he is putting on make-up at that time, hellboyhitscar. That isn't the main point of the song and the relationship it has with Ashe and his son.
i found it funny. relax katteyes, i'm not putting down the song or the movie. i love flaw, and the crow series (accept that abomination with eddie furlong). once again cool vid.
Well after more looking, I found that it was just clips of him, that used in some sceenes before the fatal shooting that was at one point deemed an accident. So some is of him, but not all. Sorry about that... he was truly a great actor and person.
Actually...I think Ashe looks kind of like Brandon Lee surprisingly... I don't know...maybe I'm wrong...but something about the hair reminds me of him.
Just so you know, you have a very keen eye, that is in fact Brandon Lee. I looked it up, because I did not want to look like an idiot but yes it is, and he is a great actor. GOOD EYE!
That's pretty good. I admire you're ability to see the purely visual emotions in that film.
The scenes properly convey the music's overall theme. The only thing I can say against it, and this is minor mind you, that the song itself doesn't have enough of a down beat to easily feel the scene changes. As i said, that's was minor.
You did a great video, and I'm, giving you a 5/5. Rock on!
its shitty brandon lee had to die in the making of the original Crow. the other movies were good dont get me wrong.....they just dont compare though i mean brandon made that part
great use of a very sad Crow Vid. I wish more people had this type of view and wouldn't stop hiding behind the fake world alot of people try to make you see. Only people who have gone thru these things might understand where I'm coming from.

Awesome song awesome movie... well done very well done. this song really fits the clips.

Rock on!
p.s. on the film, it sucks.

great use of a very sad Crow Vid. I wish more people had this type of view and wouldn't stop hiding behind the fake world alot of people try to make you see. Only people who have gone thru these things might understand where I'm coming from.
