@psych60s não tem como comparar essas bandas, Simple plan era melhor em 2003 sim claro, era mais punk, mas mesmo assim é o Simple plan, e você tem cara que escutou eles, E BUZZCOCKS É MUITO FODA *-*
As much as I love John Lydon for being a totally loveable huge miserable asshole and I mean that, it's all about the Buzzcocks for me and Magazine, even more than PIL. Yes. Sorry John....
i was hard pressed to find any thing to listen to before these guys burst on the scene and revolutionized the music at the time and gave us what we wanted excitment and music to relate to.
I completely love the Buzzcocks as a kid. Energy & attitude for the Time back-then, but Pete Shelley is and has been a consummate (what turns out to be pop) writer and melody maker. Captured angst of youth with well-crafted music & lyrics. Brilliant.
Anyway, yah, considering I was 10-11 yo the first time 'round, seeing them at 42(and over the years), sixteen again is far more relevant now. However, I have to say at any age, I've identified with "Nostaglia for an age yet to come".
We just had an EP review saying our singer sounds like Pete Shelley, particularly in The Beat Generation. If anyone wants to let us know what they think, and if they like us, it would be much appreciated. Ta
@HighOnMyMuse that's because rock at many points got away from what is was always about.. ENERGY & ATTITUDE.. lol then you got glam rock, and all these soft ass rock ballads, and a whole bunch of other stuff that just makes rock look like square dancing. I appreciate 70's punk rock for what it brought back
Pathetic, now all of a sudden everyone is nostalgic and talkin shyt about today's music. The same thing people used to say when Van Halen, Deff Leppard was out and back then "adults" would emphasize the best rock was Led Zeppelin.
All these nostalgic comments makes me take a crap!
it´s because Van Halen and Deff Leppard, was crap back then, and the most of the acctual music is crap. And I don´t know what you´re doing here, go listen to Justin Bieber. Continue taking a crap and don´t come back here.
@psiturbo I hear where you're coming from mate. Nostalgia is fine but to dismiss anything new shows ignorance or more accurately, laziness. People need to stop relying on top 40 radio and shit pop music mags for references to summarize today's music. There is plenty of great music being produced today. Negative and uninformed vacuum statements about this generations music do all the great bands a disservice. They need to pull their head from their arse and open their eyes.
@HighOnMyMuse: It's always good to see young people like you get into this music instead of shit like Insane Clown Posse, Justin Bieber, or what rubbish is being pushed for music these days. Gives me hope!
i was 11 and was into the monkees and kiss , it wasnt till i was 16 that i found punk and the beautiful melodic and groovin buzzcocks thank god i was pulled from that awful cheese rock
