I am kosican, it is a really nice city and I love it. Shame that I had to move abroad because of corruption in Slovakia, the people are great there. The only bad dark part of this city is the gypsy problem on lunik 9 and the politics that rage people against each other. There is a lott of common history that Slovak and Hungarians share in Kosice. So don't be dumb , but build your city together as you did for the last 700 years. And fight the problems together. Thanks for the video.

It was always a Hungarian city starting from the first records mentioning it in 1230. It always belonged to the Hungarian Empire. And its major growth were also during Hungarian rules. Matter of fact, it was also given back to Hungary in 1938 till the end of Word War II. Can you tell us why it is a Slovak city?

Kassa (now named "kosice") is actually a Hungarian (Magyar) town in Felvidék, Northern Hungary. It only became detached from Hungary in the Trianon Diktat in 1947. It has only been "slovak" for 14 years. It was Hungarian for 1,100 years.

I am kosican, it is a really nice city and I love it. Shame that I had to move abroad because of corruption in Slovakia, the people are great there. The only bad dark part of this city is the gypsy problem on lunik 9 and the politics that rage people against each other. There is a lott of common history that Slovak and Hungarians share in Kosice. So don't be dumb , but build your city together as you did for the last 700 years. And fight the problems together. Thanks for the video.

FreInMyArms, can you tell when Kosice was a Slovakian city before 1918? I just read the history of the city on Wikipedia and it never mentions even once that it was a Slovak city. It was always a Hungarian city starting from the first records mentioning it in 1230. It always belonged to the Hungarian Empire. And its major growth were also during Hungarian rules. Matter of fact, it was also given back to Hungary in 1938 till the end of Word War II. Can you tell us why it is a Slovak city?

History of Kassa: First mentioned in history in 1230 as Villa Cassa as part of the Hungarian Empire. In 1241, after the Mongol invasion King Bela IV (king of Hungary) invited German settles to help repopulate the city again. The city remained in Hungarian hands for the next 688 years, or till the 1918 Treaty of Trianon. For 688 years the city was Hungarian and only for the last 90 years it is part of Czechslovakia and Slovakia. So there you all have the truth!

Kassa (now named "kosice") is actually a Hungarian (Magyar) town in Felvidék, Northern Hungary. It only became detached from Hungary in the Trianon Diktat in 1947. It has only been "slovak" for 14 years. It was Hungarian for 1,100 years.

Pred par desiatkami rokov rozpravala v Kosiciach po slovensky len menej vzdelana mensina. Kazdy rodeny kosican, teda ten, ktoreho prarodicia sa narodili v Kosiciach, vie po madarsky. Sme na to hrdi. Nielen preto, ze sa vieme dohovorit s dalsimi 11 milionmi ludi, ale aj preto, ze sme vyrastli uzko spati s dvomi kulturami. Sme tolerantnejsi ako Ty, co mas (pra)babku na valale.
