What confuses me about the speaking statue prophecy is that it is actually said (book of revelation) that the false prophet, not the antichrist, will make it speak. If the antichrist is Satan incarnate and the statue represents Satan (most likely) then it only makes sense to say that the antichrist will make the statue speak. My explanation for this is that the text simply must have been corrupted over the centuries.

Dear 83, True, the God of all that is, was and is to come is a God of love. While He loves all people, He also hates their sin and will judge it, either at the Great White Throne of Revelation 20 or at the Jesus Christ's cross of Calvary depending upon if one repents and trusts Christ for salvation or not. There are no exceptions and only 2 choices. This fact is a theme that run throughout the Word of God. Jesus came the 1st time to save people, He will come again to Judge Christ rejectors.

Dear 83texan, First the last book is called Revelation (singular), nor revelations (plural). The Book is called, "The REVELATION of Jesus Christ ..." Rev 1:1). That means it is the revealing of Jesus Christ. The word "apocalypse" the Anglicized way of saying the Greek word Apokalypsis which means Revelation. Secondly, the video does not say that the 7 year Tribulation will begin with "a devastating attack on Israel" The Trib begins with a peace treaty between Israel of others.
God does not send Antichrist; He just unleashes him. This is Satan's boy. God forewarns us to be ready then removes all believers, unleashes Antichrist, and send His judgment on an unrepentant, unbelieving world. A few will be saved during the tribulation though.
The Lord Jesus preached His most prophetic message twice, once in the Temple (Luke 21) and again on the Mount of Olives (Matt 24, Mark 13). In the Temple He spoke to a mixed crowd of saved and lost, but on Olivet to His disciples. The question posed to Him in the Temple concerned the timing of the destruction of the Temple (Lk 21:5-7); the question on Olivet was threefold, "when shall these things be [destruction]? and what shall be the sign of thy coming, and of the end of the world?" (Mt 24:3)
Note some of the information the Lord give concerning the timing of His Second Coming: 1) He 1st gives the sign of "the beginning of sorrows" (Mt 24:8) which consists of at least 5 things (false christs, wars, famine, pestilence, earthquakes) that must be simultaneously increasing (Gen 3:16; 1 Thess 5:3). Jesus says they are the "beginning" signs and that "all these things must come to pass, but THE END IS NOT YET." (Mt 24:6; cf Lk 21:9). These signs are clearly being fulfilled now!
On the prophetic timetable we are presently well into "the beginning of sorrows." These signs are being fulfilled! 2) A 2nd thing on the timing of Christ's return is where He said, "when these things BEGIN to come to pass, then look up, and lift up your heads; for your redemption draweth nigh" (Lk 21:28). A saved person's soul has already been redeemed, and his spirit has been regenerated. The only thing left to be redeemed is our body a the Rapture (Rom 8:23; 1 Jn 3:2; Phil 3:21).
3) A 3rd thing having to do with the prophetic timing is the 1st destruction of Jerusalem and the Temple in 70 AD (Mt 23:37 - 24:2; Lk 21:20-24). There in the Temple the Jews were told to "flee" Jerusalem when it was "compassed with armies" (Lk 21:20-21) This is not to be confused with where the Lord said on Olevet to "flee" when they "see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, stand in the holy place" (Mt 24:15). This will occur in the middle of the Tribulation.
All the events of Luke 21:12-24 (Mt 23:38, 24:2) have been fulfilled; the things of Luke 21:8-11, 28 (Mt 24:4-8) are NOW being fulfilled; and the things of Luke 21:25-27 (Mt 24:9-31) are very near. 4) Then there's a 4th sign concerning the timing of Christ's return: the Lord's symbolic "parable of the fig tree" (Mt 24:32-35; cf Lk 21:29-33). The fig tree is a symbol of Israel (Hos 9:10; Joel 1:6-7). Israel was reestablished as a nation on May 14,1948. This generation will see the Rature.

5) This 5th item on the timing of the return settles the issue of the Rapture being before or after the 7 year Tribulation. No one in this Age of Grace can know the time of the Rapture, but shortly after all the believers are "caught up" (1 Thess 4:17) the Antichrist "shall confirm the covenant with many for one week" of years or 7 years (Dan 9:27). That will start God's prophetic count down to Christ's return to earth. That day will be known to the Tribulation saints!
Today the Levities have been identified by DNA testing and the Levitical Priesthood has been trained and reestablished. Antichrist will confirm the 7 year "COVENANT" between the Jews and the Arabs, but "in the midst of the week he shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease" (Dan 9:27). That is to say, 3 1/2 years into the Tribulation Antichrist will commit the "abomination of desolation" and "cause Temple worship to cease" (Mt 24:15; Dan 11:31, 12:11; 2 Thess 2:3-4; Rev 13)
The timing of the Tribulation is firmly set at 7 years from the reestablishment of Temple worship to the return of Christ. It is broken into 2 halfs of 42 months (Rev 11:2, 13;5) or 1260 days (Rev 11:3, 12:6) also called "a time and times and the dividing of time" (Dan 7:25, 12:7; Rev 12:14). During the first half 2 Israeli witness and 144,000 Hebrews preach the Gospel of Jesus Christ (Rev 7:2-14; 11:3-7); the last half Satan will be cast out of heaven and Antichrist will reign (Rev 12 & 13).
The Trib is a reversion back to the OT Dispensation of Law. It is the last week of Daniel 9:24-27. The 1st 69 weeks were fulfilled and completed at Christ's 1st coming. This Age of Grace will be over. God will again charge Israel to Get His Word out. God seals 144.000 Hebrews during the Tribulation in Revelation 7, and the Lord's 2 witnesses will preach in Jerusalem for 1260 days, the 1st 3 & 1/2 years (Rev 11:3). These 2 and 144,000 will win many to Messiah and do exploits (Dan 10:31-35).

grunthek, you left out verse 1 Cor 15:51: "... We shall not all sleep [die], but we shall all [both dead & alive] be changed." Both "shall be raised" together. 1 Thess 4:16-17 says the same thing: "... the dead in Christ shall rise first: Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air ..." (1 Thess 4:16-17) We shall all be changed and have a new kind of physical body like the Lord Jesus' (1 Jn 3:2).
The rapture's is well documented in the Word of God. Think on this: We of this Age of Grace will not know the day or hour of Christ's return (Luke 21:35-36; Matt 24:36, 25:13; Acts 1:7; 1 Thess 2-1-2), but those of the Tribulation may know. It will be exactly 2,520 days after Antichrist confirms the covenant between the Jews and Arabs" (Dan 7:25, 9:27; 12:7; Rev 11:2-3, 12:6, 14, 13:5). Don't force the Word to contradict itself. "Be not wise in thine own eyes: fear the LORD ..." (Prov 3:7)
Dear EastEndWatcher, I have carefully watched and listened to the 3 videos on your YouTube page by Arovir's. I also carefully read the Scriptures presented. There are many problems with Arovir's presentation. He dwells on several words like: persevere, worthy, overcome, and church. Let's take them in that order. The Greek word "hupomone" is never translated "PERSEVERE" in God's Holy Word. The correct rendering in Revelation 3:10 is "patience" (KJV), not "persevere" (NKJV).
PERSEVERE focuses on our own efforts, strength and ability to overcome difficulties while PATIENCE implies a waiting upon God, hoping and trusting Him to fulfill His promises in His appointed time. Arovir uses the NKJV rendering of Revelation 3:10, "Because you have kept My command to persevere ...." But the pure KJV correctly says, "'Because thou hast kept the word of my patience ..." The Word of Christ's patience is the Bible. The corrupt NKJV effectually turns the verse on its head.
Arovir's use of the NKJV in Revelation 3:10 leads us to believe that if we keep Christ's "command to persevere, ... [then he] will keep you from the hour of trial ..." Arovir does have the correct meaning of 'kept" and "keep" which is to "preserve" as in Jude 1, but he is wrong about what is being kept. What is to be kept is not some "command to persevere" No such command is given. What is to be kept is "the Word of [Christ's] patience" (Rev 3:8, 10; 1 Jn 2:5; Jn 15:20, 17:6), the Bible.
Jesus gave the responsibility to "keep" the Word of God to the CHURCH in the Great Commission where He said to "observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you" (Matt 28:20). That word "observe" comes from the Latin word "observo" [ob: in front, before; servo: to keep] which means to guard, watch over, and keep. The NT Greek word is "tereo" which is variously translated: keep, keeper, observe, watch, reserve, preserve and hold fast. The CHURCH is charged as the keeper of the Word of God.
We will come back to the word CHURCH later, but let us continue to examine Revelation 3:10. Arovir fails to take this verse on its face value for what it says, "Because thou hast kept the Word of My patience, I also will keep thee from the hour of temptation, which shall come upon all the world, to try them that dwell upon the earth." Jesus is going to keep believers "from the hour of temptation ... to try them that dwell upon the earth." (cf Isaiah 26:19-21), because they kept His Word.
Phrases like "them that dwell upon the earth" (Rev 3:10) occur 11 more times in Revelation (Rev 6:10, 8:13, 11:10, 12:12, 13:8, 12, 14 [twice], 14:6, 17:2, 8). Only once is it spoken of in a good sense when God has an angel preach (Rev 14:6). The 1st reference is from those who had been "slain for the Word of God, and for the testimony ... saying, How long, O Lord, holy and true, dost thou not judge and avenge our blood on THEM THAT DWELL ON THE EARTH?" (Rev 6:9-10).
Only lost earth dwellers will enter the Tribulation for it is the "the great day of His wrath" (Rev 6:17) and "the hour of temptation, which shall come upon all the world" (Rev 3:10). It is the beginning of "the day of the Lord" (Isa 2:12, 13:6, 9, 34:8; Jer 46:10; Lam 2:22; Eze 13:5, 30:3; Joe 1:15, 2:1, 11, 3:14; Am 5:18, 20; Ob 1:15; Zep 1:8, 14, 18, 2:2). This 1000 year day begins with "the hour of temptation" and ends with the creation of "a new earth" (2 Pet 3:8, 13; Rev 20:7-9, 21:1).
By examining all the references to "the day of the Lord" we clearly see that it is "the day of the LORD'S wrath" "both with wrath and fierce anger" "destruction from the Almighty" "great and very terrible; and who can abide it?" (Zep 1:18; Isa 13:9; Joel 1:15, 2:11; cf Rev 6:16-17). Who can abide it? Some of those saved during the Tribulation will live through it to go into the Millennium, but that hour of the WRATH OF GOD is definitely not for the Bride of Christ (1 Thess 1:10, 5:9).
Now back to the word CHURCH which Arovir has no understanding of. the "saints" are not the CHURCH. The words "saint" and "saints" is found 38 times in the OT and they are found 61 times in the NT, 13 of which are in Revelation. But being a saved saint does not make one CHURCH member. It is, however, the only prerequisite for baptism which adds one to the the CHURCH (Acts 2:37-41). The Lord said, "upon this rock I will build my church" (Mt 16:18).
What rock? Peter's faith in Christ that he had just professed with these words, "Thou art the Christ, the Son of the living God" (Mt 16:16). All saved folks are saved the same way, by faith in Messiah the Saviour, regardless of what dispensation (Conscience, Promise, Law, Millennium, etc) they live in. Jesus did not established His CHURCH until this Dispensation of Grace. Neither did He coin a new word when He first spoke of building it in Matthew 16:18. The word was already in common use.
CHURCH means an assembly of citizens conducting the affairs of State. Examples of use of the Greek word "ekklesia" which is translated CHURCH in the NT are: 1) Thucydides (460-400 BC): "He ... put the question to vote in the assembly [ekklesia] of the Spartans." 2) The Septuagint translates ekklesia as congregation. 3) Thayer's Lexicon: "an assembly of the people convened in a public place of council for the purpose of deliberating." Saints can't deliberate or vote unless they are assembled.
CHURCH does not mean the saints. It means an assembly or congregation of baptized believers. The saints cannot observe CHURCH ordinances (baptism & the Lord's supper) or conduct CHURCH discipline (Mt 18:17-18) without being assembled. The CHURCH cannot vote to accept a pastor or send a missionary unless they are assembled. The Lord Jesus the word ekklesia 18 times in the first 3 chapters of Revelation and 1 more time in the last chapter. All Church Age saints are Rapture in Revelation 4:1.
Now for the word WORTHY. Arovir uses Luke 21:36 as a proof text: "Watch ye therefore, and pray always, that ye may be accounted worthy to escape all these things that shall come to pass, and to stand before the Son of man." This verse is very clear! Pray to be WORTHY in order to escape and stand before the Lord. It is to know that we are not WORTHY. This was Jacob's attitude, as well as John the Baptist's, a centurion's (Gen 32:10; Mt 3:11, 8:8). One is counted WORTHY only if he is saved.
Believers are WORTHY only because He is WORTHY (Rev 5:9-12). Note that Luke 21:36 does not say we are WORTHY, but that we be "accounted worthy." This only come through salvation. Luke 21:36 says, "worthy to escape ... to stand before the Son of man," not worthy to be protected as Arovir claims and since we "see these things" we will be protected, but not escape to be with Jesus. Jesus said, "... when these things begin to come to pass, then look up...for your redemption draweth nigh." (Lk 21:28)
Many things in Matthew 24, Mark 13 and Luke 21 have been coming to pass for the best part of 100 years, but we are not in the Tribulation yet. I have been studying these signs since I was saved over 30 years ago, and I have been looking up for my redeemer with my King James Bible before my face all that time. There is no question about it, He is coming soon to catch us up to be with Him forever and this will occur before the Tribulation. Jesus Christ is WORTHY! He promised and He will do it!

Hey grunthek, what Darby and Scofield believed is neither here nor there. "To the Law and to the Testimony: if they speak not according to this Word, it is because there is no light in them." (Isaiah 8:20) What we call the Rapture is what the inspired KJV calls "caught up" and it will occur "... in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump ..." (1 Cor 15:52). If you don't believe God that is your problem.
Caught up is not right it is taken . When a flood has taken your spouse it means they died in the flood. It writen that 2/3 will die not raptured. "Caught up" is exactly not right. It's what He chose to be used. I'm just going to believe God. He has made it very clear. You ought not to try to correct God.

It in no where written in the Bible that 2/3 will die. It is, however, written that 1/4 will die in Revelation 6:8. and another 1/3 in Revelation 9:15 & 18. That make a total just in the first half of the Tribulation. But many more will die in the second half and many more when Christ sets foot of the Mt. Olivet. The people of earth will be "burned, and few men left." (Isa 24:6) Only a few who will be saved during the Tribulation will go into the Millennium in bodies like yours and mine.

No one this side of the Rapture knows who the Antichrist is, for "... He who now letteth will let, until He be taken out of the way. And then shall that Wicked be revealed ..." (2 Thess 2:7-8). "Letteth" means "to hold back." This is the Holy Spirit who is in every born again believer, all of whom ought to be "the salt of the earth." (Matt 5:13). Believers, in whom the Spirit dwells, are the preservative of the earth. He in them are "what withholdeth" the Antichrist (2 Thess 2:6).
Shortly after the Rapture that Wicked will "confirm the covenant" with Israel and her enemies (Dan 9:27). Temple worship will begin again. Daniel 9:24-27 is the Prophecy of 70 weeks. They are weeks of years. The first 69 of the 70 weeks were fulfilled and completed at Christ's first coming, but with Israel's rejection of their Messiah, God's clock stopped and the Jews were disbursed. When Antichrist confirms the covenant God's clock will start ticking again and people may know who he is.
We are now in the Dispensation of Grace which ends at the Rapture. This side of the Rapture we cannot know "the day and hour" of Christ's Return (Matt 24:36, 42, 44, 25:13; cf Acts 1:7; 1 Thess 5:1-3), nor who Antichrist is till he confirms the covenant. But when he does, it will be exactly 7 lunar years (30 day months; 360 day years) till Christ's return (Rev 11:2-3,12:6, 14, 13:5). Our present Dispensation will be ended and the last 7 years of the Dispensation of Law will be played out.
Fear is the beast you worship with your twisted interpretations about ancient mysteries and visions of overcoming Mother Suppression who is no widow to those who censor themselves or suppress others, giving life to the dragon and the flood of lies that the serpents broadcast.
Bush I, Clinton, Bush II, Obama and many others are types or pictures of Antichrist, but this side of the Rapture no one will know who he will be. He will be identifiable when he "... he shall confirm the covenant with many for one week [of years] ..." (Daniel 9:27).
I believe Obama sees the Presidency as a global stepping stone.... unlike past Presidents, this president has higher aspirations, global aspirations. If you listen to his speeches and notice his mannerisms it easy to see that he is still in campaign mode. He is campaigning for which looks likely to be the head of the United Nations or The First Leader of the New World Order. The anti-christ will reveal himself soon enough. Obama and other Presidents and many others have been putting the pieces in place of the New World Order of the Antichrist for a long time. The "the mystery of iniquity" was already at work in Paul's day. I believe the Tribulation is very near. The question everyone should be asking themselves is, "Am I ready for Christ's return?"

What confuses me about the speaking statue prophecy is that it is actually said (book of revelation) that the false prophet, not the antichrist, will make it speak. If the antichrist is Satan incarnate and the statue represents Satan (most likely) then it only makes sense to say that the antichrist will make the statue speak. My explanation for this is that the text simply must have been corrupted over the centuries.

Dear 83texan, First the last book is called Revelation (singular), nor revelations (plural). The Book is called, "The REVELATION of Jesus Christ ..." Rev 1:1). That means it is the revealing of Jesus Christ. The word "apocalypse" the Anglicized way of saying the Greek word Apokalypsis which means Revelation. Secondly, the video does not say that the 7 year Tribulation will begin with "a devastating attack on Israel" The Trib begins with a peace treaty between Israel of others.

The Lord Jesus preached His most prophetic message twice, once in the Temple (Luke 21) and again on the Mount of Olives (Matt 24, Mark 13). In the Temple He spoke to a mixed crowd of saved and lost, but on Olivet to His disciples. The question posed to Him in the Temple concerned the timing of the destruction of the Temple (Lk 21:5-7); the question on Olivet was threefold, "when shall these things be [destruction]? and what shall be the sign of thy coming, and of the end of the world?" Note some of the information the Lord give concerning the timing of His Second Coming: 1) He 1st gives the sign of "the beginning of sorrows" (Mt 24:8) which consists of at least 5 things (false christs, wars, famine, pestilence, earthquakes) that must be simultaneously increasing (Gen 3:16; 1 Thess 5:3). The Trib is a reversion back to the OT Dispensation of Law. It is the last week of Daniel 9:24-27. The 1st 69 weeks were fulfilled and completed at Christ's 1st coming. This Age of Grace will be over. God will again charge Israel to Get His Word out. God seals 144.000 Hebrews during the Tribulation in Revelation 7, and the Lord's 2 witnesses will preach in Jerusalem for 1260 days, the 1st 3 & 1/2 years (Rev 11:3). These 2 and 144,000 will win many to Messiah and do exploits (Dan 10:31-35).

Both "shall be raised" together. 1 Thess 4:16-17 says the same thing: "... the dead in Christ shall rise first: Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air ..." (1 Thess 4:16-17) We shall all be changed and have a new kind of physical body like the Lord Jesus' (1 Jn 3:2).

There are many problems with Arovir's presentation. He dwells on several words like: persevere, worthy, overcome, and church. Let's take them in that order. The Greek word "hupomone" is never translated "PERSEVERE" in God's Holy Word. The correct rendering in Revelation 3:10 is "patience" (KJV), not "persevere" (NKJV).

PERSEVERE focuses on our own efforts, strength and ability to overcome difficulties while PATIENCE implies a waiting upon God, hoping and trusting Him to fulfill His promises in His appointed time. Arovir uses the NKJV rendering of Revelation 3:10, "Because you have kept My command to persevere ...." But the pure KJV correctly says, "'Because thou hast kept the word of my patience ..." The Word of Christ's patience is the Bible. The corrupt NKJV effectually turns the verse on its head.

Arovir's use of the NKJV in Revelation 3:10 leads us to believe that if we keep Christ's "command to persevere, ... [then he] will keep you from the hour of trial ..." Arovir does have the correct meaning of 'kept" and "keep" which is to "preserve" as in Jude 1, but he is wrong about what is being kept. What is to be kept is not some "command to persevere" No such command is given. What is to be kept is "the Word of [Christ's] patience" (Rev 3:8, 10; 1 Jn 2:5; Jn 15:20, 17:6), the Bible.

Jesus gave the responsibility to "keep" the Word of God to the CHURCH in the Great Commission where He said to "observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you" (Matt 28:20). That word "observe" comes from the Latin word "observo" [ob: in front, before; servo: to keep] which means to guard, watch over, and keep. The NT Greek word is "tereo" which is variously translated: keep, keeper, observe, watch, reserve, preserve and hold fast. The CHURCH is charged as the keeper of the Word of God.

Phrases like "them that dwell upon the earth" (Rev 3:10) occur 11 more times in Revelation (Rev 6:10, 8:13, 11:10, 12:12, 13:8, 12, 14 [twice], 14:6, 17:2, 8). Only once is it spoken of in a good sense when God has an angel preach (Rev 14:6). The 1st reference is from those who had been "slain for the Word of God, and for the testimony ... saying, How long, O Lord, holy and true, dost thou not judge and avenge our blood on THEM THAT DWELL ON THE EARTH?" (Rev 6:9-10).

Only lost earth dwellers will enter the Tribulation for it is the "the great day of His wrath" (Rev 6:17) and "the hour of temptation, which shall come upon all the world" (Rev 3:10). It is the beginning of "the day of the Lord" (Isa 2:12, 13:6, 9, 34:8; Jer 46:10; Lam 2:22; Eze 13:5, 30:3; Joe 1:15, 2:1, 11, 3:14; Am 5:18, 20; Ob 1:15; Zep 1:8, 14, 18, 2:2). This 1000 year day begins with "the hour of temptation" and ends with the creation of "a new earth" (2 Pet 3:8, 13; Rev 20:7-9, 21:1).

By examining all the references to "the day of the Lord" we clearly see that it is "the day of the LORD'S wrath" "both with wrath and fierce anger" "destruction from the Almighty" "great and very terrible; and who can abide it?" (Zep 1:18; Isa 13:9; Joel 1:15, 2:11; cf Rev 6:16-17). Who can abide it? Some of those saved during the Tribulation will live through it to go into the Millennium, but that hour of the WRATH OF GOD is definitely not for the Bride of Christ (1 Thess 1:10, 5:9).

Now back to the word CHURCH which Arovir has no understanding of. the "saints" are not the CHURCH. The words "saint" and "saints" is found 38 times in the OT and they are found 61 times in the NT, 13 of which are in Revelation. But being a saved saint does not make one CHURCH member. It is, however, the only prerequisite for baptism which adds one to the the CHURCH (Acts 2:37-41). The Lord said, "upon this rock I will build my church" (Mt 16:18).

What rock? Peter's faith in Christ that he had just professed with these words, "Thou art the Christ, the Son of the living God" (Mt 16:16). All saved folks are saved the same way, by faith in Messiah the Saviour, regardless of what dispensation (Conscience, Promise, Law, Millennium, etc) they live in. Jesus did not established His CHURCH until this Dispensation of Grace. Neither did He coin a new word when He first spoke of building it in Matthew 16:18. The word was already in common use.

CHURCH means an assembly of citizens conducting the affairs of State. Examples of use of the Greek word "ekklesia" which is translated CHURCH in the NT are: 1) Thucydides (460-400 BC): "He ... put the question to vote in the assembly [ekklesia] of the Spartans." 2) The Septuagint translates ekklesia as congregation. 3) Thayer's Lexicon: "an assembly of the people convened in a public place of council for the purpose of deliberating." Saints can't deliberate or vote unless they are assembled.

CHURCH does not mean the saints. It means an assembly or congregation of baptized believers. The saints cannot observe CHURCH ordinances (baptism & the Lord's supper) or conduct CHURCH discipline (Mt 18:17-18) without being assembled. The CHURCH cannot vote to accept a pastor or send a missionary unless they are assembled. The Lord Jesus the word ekklesia 18 times in the first 3 chapters of Revelation and 1 more time in the last chapter. All Church Age saints are Rapture in Revelation 4:1.

Now for the word WORTHY. Arovir uses Luke 21:36 as a proof text: "Watch ye therefore, and pray always, that ye may be accounted worthy to escape all these things that shall come to pass, and to stand before the Son of man." This verse is very clear! Pray to be WORTHY in order to escape and stand before the Lord. It is to know that we are not WORTHY. This was Jacob's attitude, as well as John the Baptist's, a centurion's (Gen 32:10; Mt 3:11, 8:8). One is counted WORTHY only if he is saved.

Believers are WORTHY only because He is WORTHY (Rev 5:9-12). Note that Luke 21:36 does not say we are WORTHY, but that we be "accounted worthy." This only come through salvation. Luke 21:36 says, "worthy to escape ... to stand before the Son of man," not worthy to be protected as Arovir claims and since we "see these things" we will be protected, but not escape to be with Jesus. Jesus said, "... when these things begin to come to pass, then look up...for your redemption draweth nigh." (Lk 21:28)

Many things in Matthew 24, Mark 13 and Luke 21 have been coming to pass for the best part of 100 years, but we are not in the Tribulation yet. I have been studying these signs since I was saved over 30 years ago, and I have been looking up for my redeemer with my King James Bible before my face all that time. There is no question about it, He is coming soon to catch us up to be with Him forever and this will occur before the Tribulation. Jesus Christ is WORTHY! He promised and He will do it!

Hey grunthek, what Darby and Scofield believed is neither here nor there. "To the Law and to the Testimony: if they speak not according to this Word, it is because there is no light in them." (Isaiah 8:20) What we call the Rapture is what the inspired KJV calls "caught up" and it will occur "... in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump ..." (1 Cor 15:52). If you don't believe God that is your problem.

Biblical Dispensations of time are a fact.
For example there is "the old world" (2 Pet 2:5), "this present evil world" (Gal 1:3) and "the world to come" (Matt 12:32).
'God that made the world ... and hath determined the times before appointed" (Acts 17:24, 26)
There was "the times of this ignorance" (Acts 17:30)
There is the time that "Jerusalem shall be trodden down ... until the times of the Gentiles be fulfilled." (Luke 21:24)
There are "the last days" (2 Tim 3:1; 2 Pet 3:3)
etc., etc.

"Caught up" is exactly not right. It's what He chose to be used. I'm just going to believe God. He has made it very clear. You ought not to try to correct God.

It in no where written in the Bible that 2/3 will die. It is, however, written that 1/4 will die in Revelation 6:8. and another 1/3 in Revelation 9:15 & 18. That make a total just in the first half of the Tribulation. But many more will die in the second half and many more when Christ sets foot of the Mt. Olivet. The people of earth will be "burned, and few men left." (Isa 24:6) Only a few who will be saved during the Tribulation will go into the Millennium in bodies like yours and mine.

"Letteth" means "to hold back." This is the Holy Spirit who is in every born again believer, all of whom ought to be "the salt of the earth." (Matt 5:13). Believers, in whom the Spirit dwells, are the preservative of the earth. He in them are "what withholdeth" the Antichrist (2 Thess 2:6).

Shortly after the Rapture that Wicked will "confirm the covenant" with Israel and her enemies (Dan 9:27). Temple worship will begin again. Daniel 9:24-27 is the Prophecy of 70 weeks. They are weeks of years. The first 69 of the 70 weeks were fulfilled and completed at Christ's first coming, but with Israel's rejection of their Messiah, God's clock stopped and the Jews were disbursed. When Antichrist confirms the covenant God's clock will start ticking again and people may know who he is.

We are now in the Dispensation of Grace which ends at the Rapture. This side of the Rapture we cannot know "the day and hour" of Christ's Return (Matt 24:36, 42, 44, 25:13; cf Acts 1:7; 1 Thess 5:1-3), nor who Antichrist is till he confirms the covenant. But when he does, it will be exactly 7 lunar years (30 day months; 360 day years) till Christ's return (Rev 11:2-3,12:6, 14, 13:5). Our present Dispensation will be ended and the last 7 years of the Dispensation of Law will be played out.

I believe Obama sees the Presidency as a global stepping stone.... unlike past Presidents, this president has higher aspirations, global aspirations. If you listen to his speeches and notice his mannerisms it easy to see that he is still in campaign mode. He is campaigning for which looks likely to be the head of the United Nations or The First Leader of the New World Order. The anti-christ will reveal himself soon enough. The "the mystery of iniquity" was already at work in Paul's day. I believe the Tribulation is very near. The question everyone should be asking themselves is, "Am I ready for Christ's return?"
