In the Hebrew text of 2 Samuel 21.19, the word "brother" ('ach) is nowhere to be found; it indeed suggests that someone called Elhanan killed someone called Goliath. However, the Hebrew text of 1 Chronicles 20.5 includes both the name "Lahmi" and the word "brother." Hence, the discrepancy isn't to be blamed on the English translation, since it exists in the ancient manuscripts.

The bible is one why have that mistake then and so many versions say so diferent things one from the other.
