@abmilzo im a neutral in this conversation but i will say that caine is right mma fighters are martial artists, they are the kind of martial artist who like it so much that they decided to do it for a living and thats how its been for 1000's of years in all countries. i too am trained in many diff styles and mma and i can tell u that some of my hardest fights have been in a mma gym. those fighters arnt no joke, just because theres rules in the ring doesnt mean they will follow them in the street

@navyteccs same, yes, the weaknesses are in our selves, it would be quite interesting to see to different styles and those studying them at the same level practicing, thats true if you have technique it would be a bit easier to read than without technique as such strategy, i would only dream of having infinite knowledge of even one martial art, but to be as good as i can be, thats good enough for me
@abmilzo im a jack of all trades but a master to none, i know jiu jitsu/judo, muay thai, tae kwon do, the basics of most kung fu styles, boxing, basics in karate. the first 3 arts are my core but i try to learn as much as i can from anyone willing to teach. i figured that if i want to reach a level of no technique then i must know some of everything.
@navyteccs thats good, haha, i know the basics of kung fu, some ninjitsu, my main ones are karate, hapkido, tae kwon, do kickboxing, and stripped kickboxing to know boxing aswell, as soon as i give up smoking, i can have my operation to get back to serious training, but to teach you need structure, i think to have no technique is to better yourself, but to give technique to your students, will give a good stepping stone
@abmilzo very true, when teaching there has to be techinique and a right and wrong way of doing things, only when theres nothing else to learn can a person decide on what he does or doesnt need in a art and reach a level of no technique. for example u have to of had a heart to have an attack, so u must have had to learn a technique before u can have no technique.
@navyteccs ye, and one of the differences between having a technique and not having one, is that your attack and defence is pre planned, where as not to plan is the best way to go about things, especialy if in a situation and things dont go the way as planned so, as said the best technique is to have no technique, i like that saying

Take Gsp for example, the man is very intellegente and that's the reason he is the world champ. @navyteccs ok, so it has had to originate from a temple, all them styles like wing chun were from a temple, when them wars were around thats where they would have practiced, and they most likely were created for war, or defense, some just for peace in mind, i not just that it is one or the other, but it more complicated than what can be written on this

@abmilzo wing chun was created by a women who was about to be forced to marry a emperor she didnt like and he said if u can beat me in a fight ill set u free so she invented wing chun and won her freedom. An let me tell u somthing my sensai told me on the matter, "a martial art can not be owned by noun only the mind can own it cuz once u know it it is yours, a martial art is just that an art form in which anyone can do or create, a martial art is like time its constantly changing and evolving."

@abmilzo thank you, i dedicate a lot of time studying martial arts, i also find it interesting to converse with intelligent martial artists such as yourself. my studies have brought me to the conclusion that no martial art is greater than any other because martial arts is inanimate, only people can win battles, and personal skill will determine the victor. even tho it was just a movie bruce lee said his goal is to have no techinique that is wat i think that should be the goal for all M.A.'s

@navyteccs same, yes, the weaknesses are in our selves, it would be quite interesting to see to different styles and those studying them at the same level practicing, thats true if you have technique it would be a bit easier to read than without technique as such strategy, i would only dream of having infinite knowledge of even one martial art, but to be as good as i can be, thats good enough for me

@abmilzo im a jack of all trades but a master to none, i know jiu jitsu/judo, muay thai, tae kwon do, the basics of most kung fu styles, boxing, basics in karate. the first 3 arts are my core but i try to learn as much as i can from anyone willing to teach. i figured that if i want to reach a level of no technique then i must know some of everything.

@navyteccs thats good, haha, i know the basics of kung fu, some ninjitsu, my main ones are karate, hapkido, tae kwon, do kickboxing, and stripped kickboxing to know boxing aswell, as soon as i give up smoking, i can have my operation to get back to serious training, but to teach you need structure, i think to have no technique is to better yourself, but to give technique to your students, will give a good stepping stone

@abmilzo very true, when teaching there has to be techinique and a right and wrong way of doing things, only when theres nothing else to learn can a person decide on what he does or doesnt need in a art and reach a level of no technique. for example u have to of had a heart to have an attack, so u must have had to learn a technique before u can have no technique.

@navyteccs ye, and one of the differences between having a technique and not having one, is that your attack and defence is pre planned, where as not to plan is the best way to go about things, especialy if in a situation and things dont go the way as planned so, as said the best technique is to have no technique, i like that saying

@bade210 Hey keep it clean man ufc is a long way from being two men brawling, it takes skills, years of practice to be able to even compete in that sorte of competition. Take Gsp for example, the man is very intellegente and that's the reason he is the world champ. This art, Kung-fu is a martial art that takes years and years to master and Jet lee is a extraordinary artist in his discipline. No hate if you dont practice any martial art you should keep your comments for your self.

ok now comment> to pit tony jaa, bruce lee, jackie chan and jet li together and say one person is better than the other is a disservice to all of them. Bruce Lee is immortal for what he did to bringing martial arts to america and all that he did outside of it. the other great men i mentioned are each excellent for their personal style.
