This does not sound right except for the intro on the piano (the intro is exceptionally good).

This is a song that must be sung (by the choir) and received (by the congregation) as a prayer. The song gets the wrong feeling right from the point when the rythm changes after the intro and looses its purpose. Loosing the trance touch after the intro will do great good.

The singer does a good job at creating the correct feel, but she must concentrate on diction and loose the western touch.

@vizkid1234 - I agree with vizkid. Voice is beautiful and this composition too - but this is good only for a solo kinda performance and not in a congregation.

As for the music, we were just trying to experiment with a fusion of sounds, old and new. We are not necessarily pushing this to be used in service, but it was definitely fun making it!

i personally find the negative comments about the western twist a little misplaced with all the odd instrumentation that happens in india DURING worship. your style is very unique mr. duke. an unmatched blend of many influences. keep creating :-)

Anju great voice!! But the "modern twist" is not what I wouldve gone with for the orchestration of this song... Great vocal work tho.. Acoustic piano backing with a harp and some pads would've been a nice way to go about it... Good
