  • This is fucking rad! You want to send a copy of this to an animal rights luncheon.

  • @MapleRazor49574 honestly you have eaten meat in your life aswell buddy. the way of preapering meat and skining an animal has been a part of our human nature for almost our entire existence. at the moment there is less than 0,1% who has not eaten meat once in their life time and the fact that you dont like this video is because you are a person who could eat meat but not see the way its made because you think its cruel to the animal.

  • @MapleRazor49574 Wow seriously son, grow the hell up. Deer are a renewable resources, and damn tasty when they're are pepared properly, which is what the fellow in the video is doing. If you don't like it Disney has this wonderful bambi video you can watch.

  • I can't decide whether to be grossed out or amazed

  • How long have you been skinning deer???

  • it's funny how easy he makes it look

    awesome job :)

  • Ew

  • you sir...have a strong stomach...

  • Eeeeeeewww

  • you remind me of Neo

  • what kind of saw blade is that? do you use one specifically for bone??

  • that was a good, concise vid. Straight to the point and very little to no waste on the skin.

  • Thanks, for the instructions on dressing. Can you do a video on De-boning?

  • @MapleRazor49574 really man? this is an educational video about part of the process of meat collection from an animal. this is not a sadistic video of animal mutilation.

this is a necessary part of our lives, you just dont see it because steaks magically appear at walmart or in your hamburger.

  • I watche urs and the expert village videos, and you did much! better:)

  • a country boy can survive!

  • Bambi NOOoOoooOOoO!!111!!! lolol

  • Thankyou this was very helpful

  • @MapleRazor49574 get lost

  • @MapleRazor49574

    what?

  • @MapleRazor49574 We're sorry that you chose to watch a video about something that obviously disturbs you. Worse goes on in factories where pre- packaged stakes are prepared and shipped out. This is important stuff to learn for people who are/plan to live in the wilderness.

Also, it's not animal abuse if the deer is dead. It's not like the deer is alive.

  • great video, the precision is nice to see,my good friend is a butcher of almost forty years and you are of the same caliber ,i also do and try to be 100% self sufficient in every task by hand, just wondering if you have tried to skin deer and such using a winch or line on a truck or atv, it is very fast and clean ,no hair issues. keep up the informative vids.

  • OR OR OR YOU COULD DO IT THE RED DED REDEMPTION WAY

  • haha when he took that saw out the back of my neck started feeling creepy

  • Great video! Thanks!

  • this is highly disturbing. you people are disgusting. fuck off.

  • @EoN604 Hey if you don't like it, don't watch it noob.

  • thats what i call a pro unlike the the rest of em. thanks for the vid...

  • Mm, I love venison. It's delicious. <3 Just watching this makes me hungry. Seriously, guys, calm down. I could understand your concern if he were, say skinning it alive while it writhed in agony, but the deer's dead. Relax, yo.

  • Sexy butcher.

  • nevermind iwas being impatient lol it the scent gland!

  • im new to hunting and i heard that there is something in the leg that if you puncture it, it will make the meat bad?? is it true and whats is it called?

  • @onehitkill 4:15 listen carefully to what he says. I own my own butcher shop and I hear this all the time. Anyway the spot everyone is talking about is a thick tuft of hair on both hind legs. The main reason it has so much of an smell is the deer pees on it to atract females. Don't stress out about it just leave it alone and let the butcher handle it. Like he said all to often the hunter will cut that tendon and make it hard to hang the carcass. If you puncture it, it will not ruin the meat.

  • Can u f@$k it?

  • Looks relaxing.

  • holy crow just make sure you spin all your deer before your girlfreind comes over to go 4 wheeling. Or just dont keep your gear in your basement where you skin & hang all your bloody deer. I swear to god she didnt talk to me for a month. alls good now though hahaha

  • for some reason this reminds me of the dexter tv show :)

  • Great instructional video. Well done mate.

  • PRO! Thank you very much

  • NO I WONT FORGIVE U MR. MURDERER! MEANIE!!!

AND YES THIS COMMENT IS GOD BECAUSE U BETTER SAVE THE ANIMALS!

  • @compi63 save the animals?

but animals eat each other all the time.

and have been since they have roamed the earth.

what are you going to do about that?

Your ancestors ate raw meat that caused them to evolve that big brain of yours so you can complain about animals we eat.

  • he is the hottest man alive no doubt!!!

  • Tywin Lannister approves.

  • dont you want to mount the head on a wall?

  • @1ZsebastianZ1 I think they only mount the head if it's a stag (with antlers). Most don't bother with does.

  • hope i dont have to do this one day lol

  • fuck you u shouldent kill animals

  • @ortancold Fuck you don't watch the video then!

  • @ortancold fuck off you hippy piece of shit

  • @ortancold why you on a video about butchering then? I don't go over to your favourites where you blow men and eat vegetarian dinners, just to flame.

  • You make it look so easy! Thanks for this video!

  • i am not a profesional , but you are bloody good!

  • Peel that banana!

  • Has the dear still got his eyes???

    No idea!!!;-)

  • Thnx bro. I needed 2 learn how to do this!

  • that deer is dead right?

  • @jin54363 duhh lol

  • @Reeper491

i said this because people use to skin animals alive in china

  • @jin54363 o well thats just messed up...

  • @Reeper491

    yeahh

  • Lol'd when he threw the leg like ''Oh, well. Won't be needing those.''

  • cool now i now how to skin a deer

  • Watched this with my g/f... that was the funniest shit ever! When you snapped the legs, she said "OMG what is wrong with that man!" hahahaha this made my day.

  • Deer meat is high in mega 3s which are a very healthy fatty ac id mostly found i fish. That is why deer is healthier, and yes I have to agree, it tastes nothing like beef.

  • it was a nice video. but when you just snapped that deers leg off, that was pretty nasty

  • @xxxmatthewcadenaxxx Why it wont be needing it lol

  • you are a master with your hands. People close mind things and think this work is disgusting and inhumane. I tend to strongly disagree with those uptight queers.

  • Guys a pro !!

  • can you post a video how to field dress a deer please?

  • great demo I use deer hides to make drums , and its so hard to get good hides that are not cut up by the knife when people are skinning the deer

  • Awesome! um...should you wear a mask as your doing that or is it ok to not wear one?

  • princewes...Deer fat is not in the meat; beef fat is in the meat so it's difficult to make it lean.

Great video by a guy who knows how to do it and is generous enough to share his knowledge. Thanks!

  • id want this guy skinning my deer hes good !

  • where du u live? state wise

  • where du u live?

  • dude your good, you make it look so easy

  • you cant raise the tables up so your not bent over all f'n day!?! your back must kill you

  • Mate, if you aint an instructor. . . Then you should be! very proffesional, very informative and well presented

    thanks for posting this up!

  • its probably not a good idea to eat pizza while watching

  • does that work with people too? O:

  • i didn't think i would be able to handle watching this but i got through it

  • DUDE do chicken now

  • Hi, can you bring the deer to your butcher with the skin on, or do you have to skin it for them. I'm just curious, as i am new to deer hunting and i plan on doing most of the butchering at home but still just curious.

  • This is brutal but hey it's a living

  • i love venison

  • man i did the same thing to 2 deer and i skinned it with no problem

  • BTW...nice set up you have for butchering. You have a walk-in cooler too, I suppose?

  • lol i like dear meet than cow meet

  • this helped me skin my first doe thanks bro.

  • No disrespect to the butcher, but that is a helluva knife.

  • where did you get the stand you use to hold the deer?

  • lol :) . im thinking about becoming a butcher myself ur very inspiring. I dig the vid when ur rocking out to boston while doing what u love.

  • hes a butcher its what he does.

  • @Guitarplaya103 - actually, i can not only butcher, I can fix your house, fix your car, do some farming....pretty much anything that ya can do with your hands...lol. I am blessed being mechanically inclined. :)

    -dax

  • @dax21x

good god what can't you do?

  • @dax21x best type of people

  • @dax21x wow you must get a lot of bitches

  • @dax21x I can hunt skin Work on your house and car and every thing else..But there is no way in HELL I could do as good of a job as you just did!!! Nice work!!

  • @dax21x I wonder if you could settle a debate for us. Do you have to go to college to become a butcher or is it more along the lines of apprenticeship in a trade? I'm currently in a debate about the subject with someone who insists there is years of college involved even though they don't know word one of butchery nor have they ever met an actual butcher. I don't care if they're right or not I jsut need to know for my own sanity. lol

  • Gross. How can you stand that?

  • Hi, that was very informative. Do you have any info on how you cure/ prepare the skins, I would love to learn (to make fur and to make leather) as of yet I haven't had the opportunity to do either but hopefully one day. Also is it at all possible to skin deer without breaking the legs? I have a thing for animal bones and if I ever get a deer I would love to keep as much of the skeleton intact as possible and if I can peice it all back together again, that would be brilliant.

  • nice instructions :) bambi aint goin nowhere sooon lool :)

  • Great demo dude! Good for bushcraft education

  • Haha.. I kinda thinks thats wronnnng.. and gross when the legs break...

  • wow! always wondered how its done think i saw the best way this first time i set out to do so. great job man!!

  • there is a lot of holes in that deer, did the hunter use a shot gun or something, haha

  • very good , nice point about the sent lines i was curious about that..... but lemme ask you do you work at a slaughter house or do you have like a setup at your house or something?

  • @Zsleonard -This is our business. We process up to 1,200 deer per year and around 1,200 beef, pork, sheep, and buffalo per year. This is our family business. Thank you for your kind words and thanks for watching!

    -dax

  • Real professional demo. Good info!

  • @sierra04alpha1966 - Thanks man and thanks for watching!!

    -dax

  • Disgusting

  • @zazdogg - There are alot worse things on the internet.

    -dax

  • Great video. Thanks for the instruction.

  • @tommygraves - Thanks for watching man!!

    -dax

  • Most people probably don't know you can work a steel in both directions of the stroke.

  • deer meat is way healthier than COW meat and taste nothing like it.

  • @princewes - i would not completely agree with this. It is the fat content that I believe they are talking about when they say this. Beef can be made to be just as lean as venison, however, it is the fat that makes meat juicy. I dont know about others, but to me dry meat is awful. I will agree that it tastes nothing like beef though. Thanks for watching and commenting!!

    -dax

  • Is deer meat tasty?

  • yep, it taste pretty much the same as cow if cooked correctly

  • this guy is really scary!

  • @Libano603 Scary good!

  • Man, like the guy 2 comments below me, I have watched alot of Deer SKinning Videos and yours I believe is by far the best.

  • FANTASTICO !!!

  • I watched all the skinning vids that are currantly on youtube and must say your skill level is far above the average Joe. I'm gonna try to immitate your moves and HOPEFULLY won't cut my damn hand off.

  • Very nice! Thank you for sharing.

    Kind regards -

    Johanna, the Huntress.

  • Thank you very much!!

    -dax

  • Very, Very good man. God has given you a good talent! Could you tell me what brand and size information on the knives you use. I have watched all your videos and have learned alot. Thank you very much.

  • I use Forschner knives. They are both stiff 6 inch knives. Just basic skinning and breaking knives. I am sure you can order them online somewhere.

And thank you for watching my vids and your kind words. It makes me feel good that ppl take alot and learn from my videos. Its the reason that I make them. There will be more in time...if I ever get some free time..lol

    Thanks again man...

    -dax

  • very nice

  • this was great , i enjoyed you way to do this very much , could you do one where you show us how to quarter a deer also , that would be great , since you are a butcher that might help a lot of us out doing this

  • Thanks man...And there is a vid of me breaking a deer. I dont give a step by step explanation, but you can see what I am doing.

    -dax

  • Nice video

  • thanks!!

    -dax

  • Nice Job. Sure makes it alot easier when it's nice and warm!!! lol

  • lol..its not as warm as you think. its only about 45 or 50 degrees in there...

    -dax

  • thank you for making this video, your technique is so much easier. i couldnt believe how easy this video made my work!

  • thanks for the words man....I am glad this helped you.

    -dax

  • great video.. ive never skinned a deer yet but after watching this video i dont see myself having any problems. thanks for the info...

  • You are welcome. Thanks for taking the time to post a response!!

    -dax

  • Dax; Did u quit makin vids man?

  • No...lol. Just busy beyond belief. I am killing about 400-500 more animals this year than last year. I need a vacation....haha

    -dax

  • How far apart are the hooks on your gambrel?

  • about 24 inches.

    -dax

  • who cares?

  • I care

  • it was a joke

  • It was a joke accompanied by a -2 rating. Gee, thanks I guess..

    -dax

  • Damn he made that look hella fun.

  • If you want to try it, we are gonna be starting deer and antelope season soon. I will send you an address and you can come and have 'fun' with about 1,000 of them. Heck, since you were so nice on here, I wont even charge you for the 'fun'...lol.

Sorry man, I had to say it....lol

    -dax

  • Lol all good, I'm going to have some "fun" with my first deer on Saturday.

  • Very nicely done. Surely you know your trade well.

  • Thanks!! Why couldnt I have taken up architecture or optometry or anything else? lol..I think stock broker looks like a nice clean and easy profession. Maybe thats awful to them though...lol. Just thinking...lol.

    -dax

  • Did the deer live through that?

  • Live through what? Are you really unable to distinguish the difference between a live animal and a dead animal? Perhaps the large hole in the stomach area where the guts were removed in the field after is was shot might give you a hint....lol.

    -dax

  • Surely they are just missing with you head man. When I read that post from Darthpwnage I couldn't help but laugh my head off.

  • Most of the time when I post responses, it is late and I have worked all day...I think i misread it or something...lol...life goes on I guess...lol

  • Great video, I have always skinned them while hanging, but will definitely try it on its back this year. Thanks for the info.

  • No problem and thanks for watching.

Oh, and remember, you have to have a slot down the middle so the backbone can set in there. It is what keeps the animal upright.

    -dax

  • hows this job on a hang over....

  • just awful!!! haha...

    -dax

  • When im 18 i wanna go all over the world and save all those poor cows and piglets and take them home with meeeee and treat them like princess's and kings<3 i love farm animals they are sooooooo cute and cuddly. aw

  • wtf ill kill you and feed you to the pigs then eat the pigs bacon =eating you

  • This persons acct is closed, but I will respond for the rest of the world. Does anyone else understand how ludicrous that idea is? It is from a kid (the whole when i reach 18 thing tells me that) and it def shows childlike thinking. Save ALL the animals? What about ones eaten by other animals? This is my problem with the animal activists. They seem to have childlike thinking and unrealistic ideas. Meat is food and we are at the top of the food chain, or so I think.

    -dax

  • Farm animals are kept for produce, whether for meat itself or something else like milk, wool, eggs etc. Farm animals are not pets, they are not kept becuase they are cute and cuddly. Personally I chose not to eat farm animals because I have heard far to many horrible stories about how they are kept, but if other people wish to eat them that's their decision and I wont judge, but to say you are going to save all the farm animals, if nothing else don't you know how inpractical that is?

  • You are very proficient, clearly a professional butcher. Great job.
