  • ライガーはホンマにかっこいい!

  • best part of this tribute is when he does the hogan pose, it just shows that Liger > Hogan

  • I ain't even real big into puro wrestling and even I respect Liger. Best cruiserweight/junior heavyweight of all time no doubt.

  • Best ever, no questions asked.

  • ライガーは日本を代表するジュニア戦士!

    素晴らしい動画です!

  • とても素晴らしいです。公式PVでもここまでて残ったやつは作れないでしょう。作者様乙です

  • i never knew he had a different mask on, i assume he wore that early on in his career

  • Moyase! Moyase!! =))

  • i believe: that is miz wants to call himself "awesome", then he must go toe to toe with Liger

  • awesome wrestler, awesome costume, awesome theme. Liger is truly incredible, miz should stop running his mouth, he is the opposite of awesome.

  • 素晴らしい投稿ありがとうございます

  • I would like to see Lyger vs Undertaker.IT would be exceelent match.

Just for the record I don't know which one I would support

  • Evil Crush is still my fave wrestler

  • しびれる~!

    ライガー最高!

  • 素晴らしい ~

  • I Love Liger Bombs !!!!!

  • WTF!? 26 people disliked this video, seriously? Why?

  • @Elementa2006

They could not handle The FIGHTING SPIRIT!!!!

  • 特にプロレスファンではないのにこの動画だけは何回も観にきてしまう

  • すいませんがこの動画をDVDにしてもらうことできますか

  • Wow! This is the best tribute for Jushin Thunder Liger! Congratz!!

  • 好懷念的歌曲和影像

  • かっこいい!!

  • at 0:45 was that Ultimo Dragon?

  • @Sneezlebob You are correct sir. I believe it was the J-Crown match they had in '96.

  • @Sneezlebob yes that was ultimo dragon

  • クリスベノワ見たら涙出てきた

  • 5:20 haha brilliant move!

  • @TheSupraTRD More like Japanese Version of The Undertaker, in terms of respect. Rey Mysterio Jr cant even be compared to Liger. Rey is a little mexican jumping bean compared to the legendary Jushin "Thunder" Liger.

  • @theburningattack I've been watching Japanesse wrestling for a long long time...I think it translates well, just have two guys wrestle

  • Fuck American Wrestling is all I have to say. This NEEDS to be on American TV.

  • Wow, Liger was phenomenal during his heydays. Before and after the brain tumor.

    Does he still wrestle though?

  • @lightning116 Yes he does. He's going to the USA with New Japan for the Invasion: East Coast Attack tour in May. Wish I could go.

  • Jushin Liger!!!!!!

  • Great Ikari

  • ライガーは最高だわ(^-^)

  • When did Liger face Misawa? Did they ever have a 1 vs 1 match?

  • @OldSchoolRasslin No, only a tag team match. Fujinami and Misawa defeated Chono and Liger in 2005.

  • now this is real wrestling. just look at them. you actually fully see how some blows connect like how they drop on top of them.

  • My top 5 wrestlers ever:

    1. Mitsuharu Misawa

    2. JUSHIN 'THUNDER' LIGER

    3. Kenta Kobashi

    4. Toshiaki Kawada

    5. Ultimo Dragon / Jumbo Tsuruta

Puro wrestling is the greatest, espcially in the 90s.

Liger is the greatest Jr. Heavyweight wrestler in the history of pro wrestling in my opinion, but for me, Misawa is the greatest of all time, BY FAR!

  • Greatest Wrestler in Japan! ONE OF THE GREATEST WRESTLERS IN THE WORLD!

  • Great Video! In my opinion Liger is the best Junior Heavyweight there was ever walking on this planet!

btw: does anybody know who sings this song? would like to know... :)

  • JUSHIN s gonna be at Animenorth 2010 In MAI ! can't wait i want apic of him x3 !!

  • @Akiko9Haikyo dude, i live in california, but if you get me like an autographed picture dude i will totally pay what its worth and some extra for you, no joke. let me know!! liger is legend!

  • Well Ill see what i can do! there sure gonna be lots of people there, but iLl try my best! let s just keep contact on yotube ! i du not know yet if there s an otograph session or somehing!

  • @skrlxrs actually Liger was wrestling in California on January 30 as part of PWG Kurt Russelmania for WrestleReunion 4 in LA in an excellent match against El Generico

  • @Akiko9Haikyo

Unfortunately, Justin "Thunder" Liger will not be able to attend Anime North this year, due to conflicting commitments. We will have a new wrestling guest to announce shortly.

i'm sure youknow by now but whatever

  • AHH.. i didn't knew... I did not go check on the website again.. Thanks to have tell me *O* oh sad, anyway. ^^

  • And I wonder why i play and buy Imported games of Wrestling from Dreamcast days to The Modded 360's and PS3's of today! Just for a chance to play as these AWESOME Wrestlers! WWE = Epic Fail Compaired to this!

  • @bigtonybricks lol, i never had money to mod, so i'd pick up the PS2 era WWF games and they'd have all the create-a-wrestler parts to make puro dudes. i had a huge roster with liger, hayabusa, muta, ultimo dragon and tons of other dudes. it was great! and totally agree!

  • God how I miss great wrestling, Liger is a prodigy in itself

  • @DarkenedMysts Liger, Muta, Dragon, Tiger Mask, Misawa, Hayabusha, Sasuke, Michinoku.... goddamn, no one in America can hold a fucking candle to these legends.

  • @BM5072 Michinoku, as in TAKA? really? no.

  • @kyotanahashi Absolutely, Taka.

  • @BM5072 Haha, eh, no. only good thing TAKA has done was create the Kaientai Dojo indy promotion and had a good run in the first years of his WWE career. other than that, he's not qualified for being legend.

  • @kyotanahashi Taka isnt a legend but hes a damn great wrestler

  • @BM5072 Jinsei Shinzaki

  • JUSHIN SUNDA RAIGA!!!

  • I'm very impressed how the two themes are able to blend together so well. And awesome video as well. Liger is quite possibly the best Japanese wrestler, ever.

  • >franchise325 Yes.

  • Fucking awesome video

  • jushin thunder liger and ultimo dragon are to me the greatest their presence is jst amazing especially ultimo:)

  • Just calling him one of the best Junior heavyweights is an understatement, he may be the best wrestler in the world

  • @SuperSushi7 - Amen to that

  • great tribute of my favourite wrestler. Great job, dude

  • best Jr. heavyweight of all time!!!!!!!!!!

    the mighty JUSHIN THUNDER LIGER

  • great video liger is fuckin awesome

  • One of the best ever, this guy is magic!!

Awesome tribute man, 5/5 and faved.

  • At 1:44, was that Misawa?

  • Did he seriously throw a guy into the air and then kick him in the crotch before he landed at 5:20?

  • Liger Bomb on Misawa!? Holy fuck! Definitely my favorite Jr. heavyweight of all time.

  • japanese coooooooooooool

  • one of the greatest lightheavyweights that ever lived

  • hey, where can i get the song, I want it sooooo bad?

  • My favorite wrestler from Japan.

  • ok what is this guys character a super hero?

  • I grew up watching Thunder Liger on my TV :3

    And I'm 17

  • Liger is a dam great wrestler, but i think he ranks second in the very best junior heavyweights ever in wrestling, the 1st being of course, the original Tiger Mask!!! Awesome MV bro

  • what about Dynamite Kid?

  • Liger best wrestler ever

  • Why did Liger have to job to Samoa Joe? Should been a draw at the very least.

  • Liger was there for the X-Cup, all the TNA fans really knew was he was a big deal in Japan, so Joe beating him helped a young guys career. Why would TNA say, 'Hey, we want Samoa Joe to be our big guy.. let's job him out to a guy who's going home in a week.'

And to the upward comment, Misawa was no McMahon? The man booked himself to win in his own promotion constantly, Joe didn't job out of respect for Misawa, Joe didn't have a choice in the matter. Joe jobbed out of respect to Kobashi.

  • So it's ok for a jap to come to the US and job, but its not ok for an american to job out to Misawa? u just contradicted ur original point. Misawa started a company called NOAH and changed the face of japanese wrestling. Never would a japanese promotion have a junior heavyweight like Marafuji be there world champion until Misawa started NOAH. he was selfless. you have no idea what ur talking about. Joe is a nobody in Japan. Remember Misawa lost to Joe the night before there match.

  • the prime difference in Misawa and mcmahon would be that Misawa was a legendary on air talent, and Mcmahon was a rich blowhard who's claim to fame is a single handed massacre of the american wrestling industry.

Joe originally used one of the many emerald frusion/fusion/flowsion variations and has been recorded as saying how big of an honor it would be to job to misawa.

  • the GREATEST jr. heavyweight to ever walk the planet :)

  • @tigerdreams and Cruiserweight

  • I dunno why, but I can't really get into Liger matches. To me, he seems really bulky and stiff (i mean non-flexible, not hard harding). I guess I think he just looks kind of awkward. He is still one of the greats, I just don't really like him.

  • Could be because he's now in his 40's.

  • and he had that brain tumor...which after his operation had to limit himself and decide to put over New Japan's junior heavyweight division

  • joe jobbed to misawa when joe whent to noah for there match so if youre gonna wrestle one match chances are youre gonna job ..

  • joe "jobbed" out of respect to misawa. keep in mind that joe originally used pretty much misawa's moveset......

Misawa was no mcmahon in the way he ran shows.

  • Samoa Joe defeated Misawa in a tag match to establish himself as a contender. Misawa beat Joe because Joe did what he was told. Joe was never going to win the GHC title. why wud he? he doesnt work for NOAH?

  • i'm not sure i get why this is in contradiction to what i am saying. the point i was making is that if you are a promoter its' good buissiness to keep top stars from other countries on a top tier while in your promotion. it helps to create stars and advance talent. I'm not sure if i ever said anything about Joe needing to win the GHC title.

  • They love american wrestlers there, but they do job often.

  • Liger kicks ass,but Ultimo Dragon is my favorite!

  • JUUSHIN THUNDER LIIIIIGAAAAR! :) HUGE fan of THE man. Easily one of the most influential people in the history or wrestling. I love how comprehensive this tribute was. If the music hadn't needed to be looped, I'dve given it TWO times 5 stars. XD

  • lolz, his mask is so over-the-top

  • Liger and Muta, two of the best wrestlers of all time, in japan, mexico, and the U.S

  • never forget chono

  • and Ultimo Dragon!

  • Hayabusa

  • I felt Liger should have beaten Joe in TNA Whatever, this movie is awesome and its my first time hearing the extended song. Fav'd

  • it was a bit of a squash...

  • That match wasn't about Liger so much as pushing Joe. If a big name from Japan came to WWE for ONE match, I think tehy'd job him there too. Just kinda how it works, I guess. =/

  • Genichiro Tenryu had a run in WWE and they pushed him in no way at all, and he was japan's hogan. Ultimo Dragon was there forever in 2003,and they didn't do anything at all with him....in Lyger vs Joe the reason it was important for joe to win is because of him being the "undefeated next big thing" kinda guy, it would look good to defeat a japanese legend. as lyger had already cemented being his legacy, it did him no harm to add to Joe's

  • Tenryu was not employed by WWE, yet had an interpromotional deal with them, so who cares if they didn't push him? Besides, isn't him getting a win over Demolition who were the most dominant team in the WWE at the time and had a big winning streak good enough? Also, Ultimo Dragon was only in WWE so he could fulfill his dream of performing at MSG and Wrestlemania. They didn't need to push him. Seriously, misguided WWE hate gets old fast.

  • XD,

    Define misguided?

if you think that Tenryu and Ultimo Dragon aren't worthy of, at the least, a proper build into just one major match , then that's your perspective. In my opinion there was money to be made in Tenryu and Dragon, that's why i used these examples specifically. it shows how they really do drop the ball. it may not be "important" to push these guys, but you have to be a damn fool to not see the money to be made.and in "showbiz" that's what's "important" my friend.

  • Aren't worthy of a big match? Did you completely ignore my Demolition comment? Yeah, it was a bad match, but it's big in it's own right considering who his opponents were. And what money could be made in pushing guys who weren't planning on staying in the company fulltime in the first place?

"YEAH! Let's put Tenryu over some of our biggest stars! Sure, we can ignore the fact that he's just going to return to Japan a few months later thus making our decision pointless, but damn! ALL THAT MONEY!"

  • ...oh, and a quick note. To prevent spamming on this Youtube video, how about we take this to PM?

  • yea. the reports did say Ultimo wants to wrestle at MSG and compete at WM is the reason why he wanted to be in WWE.

  • @LubricuntShawn Tenryu beat Demolition? Who was his partner?

  • @Elementa2006 that one douchebag, Koji Kitao

  • I am not one to drop names, but I met Keiichi at the Peace Festival in 1996, and he willingly signed autographs and took pics WITHOUT HIS MASK after the show at the hotel... I have a LOT OF LOVE AND RESPECT for him.... more than I can say for Great Sasuke

  • TNA should work with dragon gate more. The wrestlers of dragon gate fit in perfectly with the x division

  • Absolutely stellar. I have always enjoyed Liger's work! :)

  • liger runnin wild!!!!!

  • CMLL - AAA lucha style, just basic just "elegant" non technical wrestling. Liger is "way to go" to top non-clasic mexican technical wrestling, the less comercial and viewed for sure ("underground"). Is like a kid jumping if you compare his style to one of that of a real lucha master like one of this four: watch?v=99DIlQeqHKY UWA lucha style, the real deal...not even "shoot".

  • one of the few wrestlers who has perfectly combined Lucha style with Strong style.

  • Batista got nothing on Liger's Powerbombs, especially the Liger Bomb.

  • @ZigRoc97 i have to say that in 2002-2003 when Batista was still a rockie his powerbomb was tremendous... trully violent as well as his spinebuster...

but as his carrer got bigger both moves got weaker and weaker... his "spear" doesn`t even deserves to be mentioned,...

  • Just like Tiger Mask and Ultimo Dragon: clasic mexican wrestling style at its best...

  • I think the reason why I like Japanese wrestlers is because they always seem to reinvent themselves. And they take risks when it comes to trying out new moves, lol.

  • wow these guys look way more crazy then our American wrestlers..we should have international meetings :D

  • Comment removed

  • There have been. WCW had workers like Jado, Gedo and Yuji Nagata, ECW worked with FMW, TNA has some guys come in, and a few indy feds have working agreements with Japanese promotions. WCW did a few full fledged "east meets west" events in the 90s too.

  • Don't forget WCW had some of Ultimo's students (CIMA, SUWA, Sumo Fuji, Dragon Kid, and Tokyo Magnum) there.

As for East meets West events, who can forget that Japan vs. U.S. World Cup of Wrestling (or something like that) where Liger, Otani, Sasaki, Tenzan, and Chono wrestled against WCW wrestlers in a best-of-5 series.

  • my favorite part of the song is 2:50 to 3:03

  • j-pop is cool

  • I'd love to see Malenko vs. Liger in their prime. I know they've wrestled before, but Liger was probably in the worst he'd ever been at the time in the mid-90s

  • hey how do you make these kind of videos? what software or website?

  • When did Liger face Misawa????? (1:47)

  • This is actually a great question.. I just googled it... when the hell was Lygar fought Misawa??? If it wasn't Misawa.. who the hell was it??

  • err..to answer everyones question.

its in the Tokyo Dome at 5-14-2005

Jushin Liger & Masahiro Chono vs. Tatsumi Fujinami & Mitsuharu Misawa

  • Liger is my favorite wrestler of all times. If it wasn't for him I wouldn't have ever discovered the joys of puroresu.

  • best liger tribute vid

btw how many different attires has he had lol

    theres too many to count

  • Shotei is the true pimp slap

  • This is an amazing tribute video. I'd never heard that second music track. You got some great footage in here.

  • very good tribute if i don't say so my self

  • why hasn't he been IWGP champion

  • He's not a Heavyweight. He has won the Jr. Title.

  • yeah but he has bested muta and others heavyweights

  • best liger video! ever!

  • He is legendary. How old is he now?

  • 44 years old

    Born 1964

  • watching this gave me chills

  • LIGER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Is he still wrestling?

  • he is just limited and trying to put over the Jr Heavyweight division and go out to other promotions seeking for more Junior talent

  • Jushin Liger Is THE REAL Power Ranger!!!

  • You mean SUPER SENTAI! XP

  • OH YEAH!!! XD

  • Jushin Thunder Liger is good working and etc but good job you video 5 out 5 stars.

  • Dream match: Ultimo Dragon vs. Tiger Mask vs. Hayabusa vs. Jushin Thunder Liger!!!

  • The Great Muta vs Ultimo Dragon vs Tigermask IV vs Hayabusa vs Jushin Liger

  • You did a good job, my brother, good video timing with the rhythm of the song. Ultimo Dragon may be my favorite crusierweight, but my god, Liger is quite literally, a crusierweight beast!

  • hey bro, could you send me this theme? limewire only gave me the short version.

  • madplash is your best friend...lots of themes

  • thanks a ton!!! this place rules

  • i have seen liger wrestle in milwaukee, wisconsin at a pay per view called superbrawl 2.he was fighting the late brian pillman.JUSHIN LIGER IA A TRUE LEGEND.

  • If TNA wants to beat WWE all they need to do is get Jushin Liger , maybe Ultimo Dragon to to tag with him , Jushin Liger > WWE

  • Liger = Ratings!

  • I LOVE LIGER

  • Great clips. I started watching WCW because of Liger, and Flair. His Shooting Star Press, Delayed Vertical Brainbuster and his Shotei are all just awesome.

  • Great video and tribute. Jushin Liger's my 3rd favourite wrestler of all time behind Bret Hart & Shawn Michaels. Absolute legend!

  • is there any story behind the change of costumes eg all black, or is it just because he fancied a change

  • when he's in black he's heel. they call it the darkside of liger. and he's also ocasionally blue or green or white
