Jagjit Ji, Years back my father had introduced to your ethereal voice. As a teenager I grew up listening to most of your songs at home. I cannot express in words, what a deep connection with my childhood and with my dad I feel, while listening to your songs. There won't be another ghazal "maestro" for me ever. Lovely song, haunting melody, Kaifi sahab's great kalam, breathtakingly beautiful Shabana but .... most mediocre (even for those times, circa 1983) direction of the song footage. Today even 1st year student in Film Institute won't make such a low grade video - only zooming forth & back ! Somebody should penalise hard these directors in Indian films for wastage of film footage and subsequently hard earned Foreign Exchange for film imports.
