@Korn32freak wow you are just now getting back to me. great timing. Happy anniversary by the way. Have fun getting your ass kicked by Texas this year. By the way I don't even got to Texas i'm in Alabama, so Roll Mother F***ing Tide!
Thanks for your input. I didn't expect you to go to there, as even people that go to texas have respect for the loss of life. You're a tool. And since you mention 'bama. WAR EAGLE!! gfy ead
@Korn32freak I'm sorry i'm not posting these my cousin is using my account to post these. I actually have a lot of friends in A&M. again I'm really sorry i promise this won't happen again.
i remember that night it was like 2:00 in the morning and i woke up hearing sirens and my parents woke me up and my cousin called he lives in college station to tell us the bonfire collapsed i couldn't go to sleep that night i was so worried i didnt know who died and i knew it would be bad for the aggies to lose that year but they won
Next year is the 10th Anniversary of the bonfire tragedy and we got texas at home!!! Home they do a tribute and a personal for the players before the game because A&M is family and remember the fallen aggies and win it for then. Because the 12 people we lost are the 12 Man!!!
That may sound like a lot but it's really a drop in the bucket compared to the amount of lumber that's used in any state.
That being said, I saw a film about this which indicated that the engineering behind the construction really wasn't sound. They got away with it for a number of years but it was bound to happen sooner or later, not unlike the Space Shuttle disasters.
According to Wikipedia they've reinstated the practice off-campus with a better design.

this was so sad,and in no way placing blame on the students, school,or any involved, but why the hell would you burn 7000 logs for a tradition??!! what a waste..
It's our Tradition....that's EXACTLY why we burn those logs. It shows our burning desire to beat our opponent and stands for the flame that exists in all the Aggies' hearts. Don't try and understand it cause you never will...that's the real waste. GIG 'EM!!!
by the way what does ead stand for, and if you want to kick my cousin's ass he lives in katy, his name is Duan Jordan (D.J.)

I was in the stands during this Yell Practice, and I can say I've never seen or experienced anything even close to this.
