13 dudes roll in cages and hating on this fine chick riding her ninja... props to Tiff for riding. I wish my chick had enough courage to ride her own. I'd buy her a ninja 250 also. Lucky boyfriend!
THAT'S what I'm talking about!! Helmet, jacket, pants, shoes first time on her bike. You don't see that very often. Most girls learn when they scrape their tramp stamps off or their flip flops fold under their toes and rip a toenail off. Good on ya!!
@RepsoI it's called "learning" dude. We're not all pros such as yourself. It's you "pros" that get themselves killed, and even worse, drag some random human along.
I'd recommend you relax before you ride a bike, driving it all stressed out and stiff like that isn't good or safe for you. If someone wants to video tape you and you don't feel comfortable simply say NOT YET
This'll be me in about 4-6 weeks (and yes, I'm definitely getting the gear *before* I go to my MSF training course, which includes helmet, gloves, jacket, and pants since I already have boots), lol. I can't wait! I'd rather be on a bike than slaving away in the kitchen. =P
@Misiekgren I'm actually in the North Dallas area (Texas), and around that time is when I should have my tax return. In Texas, the MSF course is required to get a Motorcycle endorsement on your license now, which is good and bad, lol. I'll also have to wait for my gear to be shipped since I'm ordering most everything online, though I did try on some stuff at a few local places ;) Good luck with your test hun!
@Misiekgren When I checked with my insurance company, they said it'd be about $35/mo, and I haven't even checked what the difference will be *with* the course, lol. And sorry about the "hun" thing...I tend to do it quite a bit (never know who's male/female around here, and it could always be worse =P).
Beautiful young lady, hope she wears lots of gear and stays that way.... Cheers for the MSF ridercourse.... Oh, and sorry for yet still another 'gear' comment, but it can't be stressed enough... Love to see girls ride ! =)
I was looking into my first bike today and I went over to one of the dealers and sat on the ninja 250r, but I was tiptoeing just like her in the video. I'm 5'7, is this safe or should I be worried?
@VertSk8er12 No do not be worried. Im 5'8 and ride a kawasaki zx10r. The bike will handle better if you don't mess with the suspension. If you are REALLY worried about it buy lowering links and have them installed. Once you get comfortable try raising it back to stock height for better handling.
@VertSk8er12 If you can pu the balls of both feet down on the pavement, then you're fine. Really though, you're not going to be Fred Flintstone ing it around everywhere. Get accoustom to getting your feet up and not putting them down unless you're backing up or at a stop. When going slow, right foot slightly braking, left hand playing the clutch in the friction zone. Waaay easy, believe me! You'll get used to it real fast, or you'll break a toe or foot trying to walk it everywhere!
Wow and this is after passing the MSF course, looks like her 1st time on a bike period. The MSF instructor kept smiling at me cuz I was gunning it as much as possible in the parking lot having fun on the 1st gen 250.
with all due respect... her first time on the bike should include wearing a jacket in the very least. I'm not hatin', just trying to make sure new riders ride safe.
I am 5'6 and 117 I get my ninja next month.... o and I am a 22 year old female. Glad to see other women small like me on bikes. When it comes to playing with your life... make an unpopular decision better safe than sorry!
so nice to see another female rider , we need more of those ! specially when there are a lot of guys that like to type kitchen comments that would never get on a motorcycle , getting on a bike shows courage and skill IMO , now keep the shiny side up , the MSF is like getting your brown belt , it will take many thousands of miles to be considered a season rider , Grats!
Everyone's gotta start somewhere. Keep it up. A 250 is a great place to start and keep it around the neighborhood at safe speeds for now. You're no where near ready for the street...even on a 250. And you look good on the bike. But wear some leathers...
@RaptiirHD The MSF teaches use on 250 cruisers that are as easy as walking to handle - nice low center of gravity. Sports bikes have the opposite (a high center of gravity), and if the person is short, some height issues overall. The course itself is really good.
BUT, I should mention, the MSF says you should have 500 miles (IIRC) before even going...too many pple show up there who have never ridden before.
If she finished her MSF course then she should have had no problem taking it at faster speeds than that. In my MSF course I got the 250 Ninja that they had to about 45 in the small parking lot (they weren't happy about it, but I was).
It could just have been the intimidation factor of "Now I'm on a real road" or something similar.
I'm a female rider, 5'2" weigh 110 ride a 250 as well, and love it. It's not about the weight of the bike, it's about the riders confidence and skill. Have fun cornering Tiff!!
Two Day Class and she still starting like she just starting the bike ride for the first time. You would think that you learned how to accelerate a little bit more better. That's what they teach.

I've seen plenty of people accelerate a little better. She is acceleration like it is her very very first time. She did better later on in another video. So shut the fuck up.
I remember buying my first bike after taking the msf course. I got a 500 and the ride home was scary. I was doing 30-35 on the street and it felt like I was doing 100mph lol
