To add to my 'reply' comment below though, this is still shite. Using a highly-field-experienced, ex-SAS, Parachute Regiment and Royal Marine officer to train a bunch of gap-year civvies in standard army drill so they can go tag a rhino is beyond a joke.
@ericsyutubeaccount what does my name have to do with my experience? I've known royal marines with Halo 3 and Warhammer-related names, and one who named his YouTube account after a Japanese sitcom.
@PyschoticChimp what are you talking about? i couldnt even find anything sitcom related whenever i googled my user name, just saying, youre just a kid, so you dont know what youre talking about
@ericsyutubeaccount I didn't say you were sitcom-related, I said that I know a marine with such a name. Anyway, a kid I am not, so I shall no longer argue like one.
@TCFan25 Let's be honest, I want to be an NCO, but you can't put this guy down at all. He wasn't just a Major in the SAS, a MAJOR feet in itself, but he is also one of only a few dozen guys to have ever raked up as both a Para and a Royal Marine respectively.
Officers also have to be BETTER than the lads they command. Forget the armchair-warrior mentality of 'ruperts' being shite - they have to complete selection challenges in LESS time AND have to master every troop skill to instructor level.
What a load of bollocks! You can see rhinos from bloody miles away. You do not need to learn BS british army drill to do tracking in the African bush! You learn tracking by getting out there and doing it alongside an experienced tracker to show you how its done - not f**king about playing soldiers for the camera!
Would really love it if BBC could upload more travel based videos like these.I prefer these videos must more than the soaps and drama series that BBC has been uploading of late
Looks like a guy making an opportunity for himself. Beyond that it's just bullshit.

This guy is a fucken twap... I thought Bear Grylls was a bit of a flogger, but not as bad as this jerkoff.
If you want better lessons and advice, at least get it from somebody who was a an NCO/Senior NCO.

I would be spending more time having 3somes with the girls than playing pretend soldier/ranger.

This is just a guy scamming ignorant civvies for a quick buck. It happens all the time.
