You power up right as you touch down, not before, or you will go high and miss wires. The S-3 is very slow to spool up, so although the throttle goes up right away, it may take a half second or so before you hear any engine response.

aren't us naval aviators supposed to throttle up right before touchdown in case of a TO/GA? Couldn't hear it in the video
