  • i have autism and i though it was a curse first, i hated myself and the non autistic world because of it, but now in high school it is a gift, that lust to want to know more about the thing i have to learn is great.

  • You are not alone, I am an aspie and a christian myself. God made us all special in some way and you are very special in his eyes.

  • Amazing audio blog!

    God bless

  • if you're gonna have a facsination it might as well be a good one :)

  • People fear autism because its difference, look at history to see how society treats those who are different. If you fear something wouldnt you try to make it appear "less" than what it is its a psychological attack and one that has been effective throughout history. Autism is a gift, shouldnt "Ignorance" be termed as a disability? after all its a nasty affliction that can cause harm to self and others... Its very dangerous...

  • Autism is a gift.

  • thank you brother

i really wish someday people can understand that WE ARE NOT SICK .. WER ARE DIFFERENT

  • @abram730 this defnitely lies in the eye of the beholder...

  • There is no such thing as perseverating on God. The bible says 'pray without ceasing'. Is that perseveration? Pray for healing from your disorder and healing will come.

  • @ FynFlyte

She is not disordered, she is just different and there is nothing wrong with that being different.

Again Veile Glory, a very informative video. Thanks for sharing it! :)

  • If you do not have a disorder you do not need a diagnosis.

  • I don't think it is nessesary to call every difference an "disoder". I see myself as "disabled", because I have certain difficulties in the world, who "disable" me, because I' m different but me as a person and my way to think is not disordert, but different. For me, that's a difference and to overcome the differences and to come along with them I sometimes need help. That's not "disodert", but natural.

  • When we do not function properly we are out of order. Some people are and they have my sympathy. But do not expect special tretment, disability checks and free apartments while maintaining that you are' just different.' You are doing a huge disservice to the genuninely disabled autistics who need all our help and sympathy.

  • Do you mind if I expect it, if I'm part of the 86% of people who can't get a job after growing up?

  • If you re disabled you deserve all the help society can give you..

  • I am different, but I do have opportunity to be at a disadvantage. This can be from too much chatter in my math 095 class. It can be a circumstance that I'm not prepared for at all, and I'm already mentally exhausted from school. You know, us more communicative types could probably help the ones who you think need it most.

  • If one is not different, one does not need a diagnosis. Maybe this should be changed?

  • It's HANDY to be obsessed with God! Now I may not understand the linguistics behind the term 'perseveration,' oh, wait... An act of perserverence! Isn't "not giving up," and keeping "God at the center of your focus," supposed to be good for people? God is a uberly, out-of-this world-ly, interesting to fixate on! I am not disordered. You're just not as accurate!

  • You don't have to be autistic to perseverate. When were you diagnosed?

  • You don't have to be autistic to perseverate. When were you diagnosed?

  • Last summer, as a 20-something adult. I have other perseverations and other traits that fit into the autistic spectrum.

  • Not to sound rude, but you sounded like a middle aged woman! Come to think of it, I can sorta tell you could potentially be autistic by your voice, but not really.

  • thanks for sharing. nice to know I'm not the only one who has trouble with the word "perseveration" :-)
