One of my heroes! Loved to hears Stoney as a kid and still do. As a grown man now, it means so more! Thank you Lord for letting him share his talent with us.
I'm happy to find someone put up some of these videos on Stoney and the Drug Store Cowboys. I was sorta the man behind the scenes in those days living in San Antonio, owned a club called "Bits'n'Pieces" and also had a management company that handled Stoney and the Drug Store Cowboys. Stoney was a fine man, wonderful singer/songwriter and it was an honor to work and know him during this period in our lives.
As for a comment about Stoney ... well just imagine how one feels in the presence of great country music when you get the chance to stroll through the house where Stoney lived for a while ... lifetime/lifelong great memories ... greatness was experienced then now and with YouTube here we can all now experience Stoney and his bandmates excellence ...
Music videos (or film shorts) have been around ever since the movie camera was invented. They were shown in-between movies at theaers and then in the 50's they began showing them on tv.
I was one of Stoney's "Poor Folks" (Band Member) back in 1971 & 72. I'm 61 yrs old and cried like a baby after listening to this song. I miss him and his music a lot.
Hi jsg4132 --- Question for you: My twin brother and I grew up on the northeast side of San Antonio, TX. Our best friend in those days was Kenny Edwards, Stoney's son. I figured by now Stoney has passed away. If you know the whereabouts of Kenny, please pass it along. I would like to reconnect with him after all these years. I know live in Madison, WI. Kenny taught me and my twin brother how to ride a Honda 175 motorcycle ... great times when one is 11-13 yrs old. Cheers ... God's speed ...

I recently spoke with Ken Edwards online, but I also have his phone number. Please give me your name and number and I'll pass them on to Ken.
