If one wishes to claim the truth in a religion, then he needs to prove it, failing that, it will not enter the realm of facts or objective truth. You cannot assume I am a nice person but there are other alternatives to being an asshole or nice. The truth value of a religion is a dichotomy, it is true or false, no other option.
