  • Evergreen song.

  • Farida Khanum ji san it with lots of authority...mastry of Riaz and knowldge..ut Asha ji scores here...Its His gift of Voice..Melody and verstality...She sings better tham Orignal sang by Farida jee...All in l all a beautiful song

  • Beautfully sung.. My all time favorite

  • Very beautiful ! is GREAT.

  • pathetic singing with very bad pronunciation. Just because she was from pakistan and low level talent is very much appreciated she survived. Atleast she could show some emotion of lyrics.

Only tone deaf and ignorant people can "wah waah" this bad quality singing.

  • Asha ji is one of the greatest voices we have, but this song sounds good only in voice of Farida Ji. Its a master piece and you dont have 2 masterpieces......I guess it was a tribute from Asha ji....music bonds the two nations The roots & foundations are same and artists from both countries have still managed to keep the relationsships cordial.. let us not become politician and fight over music & artists. There is not second Lata Ji, Mehdi Hassan, Gulam Ali, Mohd Rafi...etc....

  • just like asha has made some songs her own ( along with R D Burman )

faridaji has made this ghazal her own by her soulful rendition of the lyrics.

in fact i daresay i havent found another singer who can sing these kind of words with the same love and understanding, its almost autobhiographical for her.

  • Wah;very good song with very nice and warm feelings.

  • its a balm for my broken heart

  • Excellently rendered.Audio has become weak.

  • wanted to about the tal of this song

  • original ki apni hi baat hai.

  • All pakistani singers are way above indian singers......i hope this will make all pakistani happy specially those indian's who will just to be extra sweet towrds pakistani people will say that all are better than Indian singers.....

  • Subcontinent music is undoubtedly THE BEST in the world!

  • music have no borders :)

  • she is the voice of universal truth that knows no boundaries ! God bless her. we are fortunate to listen to this original Gazal in her own voice. Farida Khanumji, Aap hazar saal jiyen aur bas yunhi gati rahen !

  • Lyrics : Fayyaz Hashmi

He has been living in Karachi for the past 20 years.

  • @immortalsoloist she :) brother and I am the person who met her many times personally ,,, i listened her without music in her house

  • GOD SINGING ( I havent met him/her/it but has to be something like close to this...God Bless thaning you for uploading

  • I dont know who has sung first but this is The Original. The voice has done justice to the Lyrics !!

  • superbbbbbbbbb

  • listne and enjoy the sub continental classicals.

  • a little aishwarya majmudar had sing it in chhote ustad, which i think was much better than this one, both voice quality wise n feel wise

  • waqt ki quaid me jindgi hai magar

chand ghadiya yahi hai jo azad hai

  • What lyrics! Could not help but shed a few tears. Beautiful, poignant song.

  • JUST LISTEN N ENJOY GREAT VOICE

  • So truly said.....hams

  • @hamsofdollar me too but i respect music in any form till the time its original !!

  • This is very kind and tender melody, as a lullaby, just a wonderful performance! Thank you very much!

  • Thank you Sweet90Fairy!!!

  • music has no nation and barriers let us enjoy

  • @shamuhiri agreeeeeee.....

  • @shamuhiri nice ....better thing should be accepted open heartily

  • @shamuhiri and so does sports, but apparently tab indians ko periods lag jatay hain.

  • what is this song about?

  • @ahimsametta its about a lovers request :) translation.... Don't insist on leaving today Keep sitting beside me. Don't insist on leaving today else I shall die, I shall be looted. Please don't talk like this. Don't insist on leaving today. Give it a thought, why shouldn't stop you? When you leave, life goes out of me. For your own sake, beloved Just listen to this one plea, don't insist on leaving today, keep sitting beside me. Don't insist on leaving today.
  • @ahimsametta My life is trapped in time's bars, just a few solitary moments are free. And if you lose them too, my beloved, you shall keep craving forever. Don't insist on leaving today, keep sitting beside me. Don't insist on leaving today. What an innocent hueful meeting this is of beauty and love, they rule today. Who knows what lies in tomorrow, Let's make this night stand still. Don't insist on leaving today, keep sitting beside me. Don't insist on leaving today.
  • Without any offence to the greatness of both, Farida ji's rendition has more of a classic touch with its tabla backgroud and relaxed feel than the slight modern rendition of Asha ji. So it feels more soothing, classic and better to listen to...

  • Eternal and Timeless composition... really soothing to mind and soul

  • beyond the world....

  • Agree, after this Asha's version is abosutely awful. Music has no nationality and religion. Proud to appreciate true talent and beauty. Rupa

  • thanx hamsodollar and i realy like this version of farida khanum, hav a nyc day

  • timeless!

  • v good i love you dill khush kar daya

  • This Ghazal gave recognition to Fareeda Khanam and I like it very much.

    Dr.Fareed Ali Shamsi

  • thanks for sharing

  • soulfulll

  • this version anyday is better than ahsa bhosle :) and i am one Indian who deeply respects paki music :)

  • @hamsofdollar Respect is good but when you disrespect others, it doesn't gives any value to your respect. Any way certain thing are just to good to Appreciate and Incomparable. Ashaji is one of them.

  • @ursksingh how did i disrespect in anyway?

  • @hamsofdollar music is beyond boundries

  • @hamsofdollar

    I share the same view

  • @hamsofdollar I appreciate your decency. Music has no language, no boundaries...

  • @hamsofdollar I liked it because of earlier part though Asha bhosle is a great rather one of the legends of sub-continent music. But Farida is way above her class.

  • @hamsofdollar same here...honestly speaking I probably listen to more Pakistani music than my own Indian music

  • @hamsofdollar Here is another :)

  • Simply Beautiful. So full of emotion.

  • excellent sharing - thanks

its like time stopped , those words have emotions n feelings

    its just awesome !

  • @FritzGirlich "Ghazals suck" — for those who can't appreciate MUSIC and can't comprehend the beauty of the lyrics.

"Is she Crying or is she singing?" & "this is so fucking slow" — i won't even go there since you don't seem to understand the meaning of the lyrics.

I guess you should stick to listening to whatever "fast" music you listen to.

Your mama likes the song because she understands the passion and the soul of the singer and the elegance of the lyrics.

  • Ghazals suck!

I had to play this song to my mom cause she insisted on listening to old crap and I was thinking like - Is she Crying or is she singing?

This is so fucking slow, It Just sucks!

I gave it a thumbs up cause my mama likes it, but Personally I think this song blows!

  • @FritzGirlich :O

    -im speechless -

  • just heart burning and beautiful...voice of god....

  • i am still shocked abt those 10 persons, who disliked this video, i am sure they dont get a life,

  • LOVELY

  • I agree. That song has nothing to do with good singing. It is the perverted nakedness of a prostitute who is selling her body's movements to the retards who cant understand their own feelings.

  • beautiful song...

  • Look friends, God makes humans in many models and moulds; these 8 may belong to a very funny mould; bear with them.

  • ..."khushi naa mileh..toh kohi gham nahi..

    ghum hai to bas itna...

    keh aansoon peeneh parte hain..

Pyaar karne ke liyeh Dil chahiyeh...

Dil de neh ke liyeh honsla chahiyeh. tum .seh.. milne keh liyeh... ik paal hi kaafi heh..

Tum..seh.. milne keh liyeh... ik paal hi kaafi heh.

Beeth lengheh saari zindagani .. ik paal ki mulakaat seh .... hum."
