Did you know that most people have problem understanding Jamaicans? I really like Jamaican and even wish to go there but you have to acknowledge that it is not the same : Me a go deh(jamaicans) than saying I am going to go there. Or Me haffi than I have to. Ex. I have to go= Me haffi go. I am going= Me a gwann.
I am a linguist and I know what I am saying. I am not trying to undermine my Jamaican neighbors. Languages nowaday have to be standard because of GLOBALIZATION.COMMUNICATION

@andreagomera No need to lecture me on patois, as I am a Jamaican. And my comment was due to you saying his English is better, when his first language is English. Patois (our dialect) may be difficult to understand, but we are taught to speak, write, and communicate in British (The Queen's) English. In this interview he chose to speak without the use of patois, thus leading him to be "more understandable", it was not the effect of his English becoming better.
