I just spent half an hour trying to figure out why YES never bothered to invite Mr. Moraz back after they were done with Relayer in which Patrick did an amazing and outsdanding job. Why Igor and not Moraz? Why Brislin and not Moraz? Why Oliver and not Moraz? Why Downes and not Moraz? And then I remembered this most wonderful concert I went to see with him and Bruford back in 1982.This song was the highlight of it. Oh, well, at least Bruford thought Moraz was worth keeping around a bit longer.
@PhilistineTheArtLuvr Patrick began working with the Moody Blues, taking them to their greatest recording "Long Distance Voyager" I saw Patrick perform with Yes, The Moody Blues, as well as attending the "Moraz, Bruford" concert. I have met Patrick many times, as he is a wonderful man and is easy to approach! A true Professional!
I use to be a big fan of yes when I was a kid! I use to think that R.Wakeman was the real enchilada & when he left the band I was crushed! Then there was P. Moraz, He was clearly a Vurtuoso & was top of his game but just didn't fit into the Mix. He was exhonorated to say the least. I had the chance in 1986 to see Moraz & Bruford. It was the shit!! It was totally amazing the high level of Music with that those two whaled out! I can still remember that Bad Ass Beat... "Blues Brains!!!
Bought this record autographed by Bruford on the rear sleeve, it had been up on Ebay but nobody else had made a bid. These two are absolute top rate, I love Moraz playing too, and I'm a big fan of "Relayer" and "Story of i". Very nice to see this posted here!
por que solo una obra? la combinación piano/batería es mi favorita aun mas cua do los ejecutan dos grandes del progrock: Moraz/Bruford gracias de antemano
@wbtarkus Same here....picked it up for three bucks in an independent record store's bargain bin.......no-one there had any idea how brilliant this album is!! Oh well, their loss, my gain :-P
