Foxtel on Xbox 360

I am on bigpond ultimate so i am averaging around 120mbits with ease.. Just wondering i am looking at buying an xbox 360 (my first one as i need a change from the ps3 for something different) Just came across this, I am wondering it is obviously unmetered for bigpond customers? Also is it actually HD? Please let me know... Cheers

Hey there, I'm really interested in getting Foxtel on the 360 but I'm having some trouble making a foxtel account. I'm on the website and have entered my details and so on, but it's stuck on this message saying 'thank you for your patience while we process your details'. It's been like this for a few hours now and I've done this 3 or 4 times. Any tips?

@D1CROM1 Cable companies know that they can (and in fact they do) offer online pc services for their subscribers. They're aware that they can get rid of the whole cable tv box. This saves costs for hardware, installation, stocking, logistics. Which can save cost for the cable companies and consumers 'could' get services for cheaper.

BUT Cable companies stick to the boxes. Physical boxes(built in cost) + contracts = meant to lock you in and deter you from stopping your subscriptions.

@alby348 My internet is 20mbps but I have not heard any problems with people with alot slower internet. To get foxtel on your xbox you need to be a gold member live in a foxtel ready area and subscribe on the foxtel website

@Eligere1 unfortunately you cannot use viewers choice, although this is just the beta maybe they can introduce that sort of thing at a later date. i will have a closer look at the data usage and get back to you.

such a rip off! starter pack is $20 and each other pack such as movies, entertainment etc are all $10 - $15! And on demand is a $10 sign up then u have to pay for each rental that last 7 days! Even if you're a foxtel member already, you get fuck all specialty!

On saturday nights foxsports offers a 5 live viewing service in which you can choose to watch one of five games on normal foxtel from the english premier league. Do you think this will be possible via the XBOX 360 service?

@Eligere1 I will have a closer look this weekend. I dont think it will be possible. I would imagine it would be the game that is being shown before you push the red button. The a-league game tonight between Brisbane Roar and Wellington Phoenix is being shown live.
