not all pilots/ATC guys say niner -- tho most do. it's acceptable either way. niner was instituted to differentiate the numeral nine from the german word for no, "nein". the phraseology was original established by NATO. really old school phraseology was pronouncing three as "tree" and five as "fife".
You film the best videos! If you happen to be traveling to boise idaho, you should film a vid. I live here now and there's not many videos of this airport.
I LOVE THESE VIDEOS WITH THE ATC! I want to be an atc when I grow up so hearing this totally brings out what I will be commanding these pilots one day hopefully :P
