Korean govenment is predicting for the size of our nation's exports will overtake Japan's by 2022. and it will be world's 4th largest exporting nation. by 2022, Korea will be no.4th largest exporting economy followed by China, America, Germany. Japan is on 5th, poor nation. 2022, world rank : 1st China (69,200 billion dollars), 2nd America (28,000 billion), 3rd Germany (21,600 billion), 4th Korea (11,900 billion) 5h Japan (11,200 billion)
*LOL* The Korean government predicts a lot of things, doesn't it? :) Some Koreans feel so inferior to the Japanese, they feel they have to make a point to invade totally unrelated sites to whine their opinions about what a "superior nation" they are. You have to really just feel sorry for them for being the one Asian nation nobody else in the world cares about. Y'know, like the kid brother that tags along behind the big boys, acting out for attention. :)

Yes you can see the most developed countries by calculating the GDP per capita, and that is Japan:38 000 $ and South Korea:19 000 $,that is double my friend!
GDP per capital doesnt represent the true economy. if so. you think those people is Luxembourg getting 87,000 $ does represent that they are richer than Korea and Japan ?

Korea is currently world's fast growing developed economy in OECD. its showed GDP growth figure of 2.3% where currently the average growth rate of OECD is -1%. its currently is world's 8th largest export nation, the growth rate of Korean export is unbelievably fast and rapid. it is surely going to overtake Japan by 2025. you get that?
You cannot predict the future, because economies allways change or have pozitive or negative growth, look at South Korea they had a GDP in 2007 of 1,049 billion and in 2008 they dropped at 947 billion, since japan had an estimate growth between 2007-2008 of 539 billion (in USD).
that represents how much developed the country is and how standarts of living are, that is GDP per capita, so the people from Loxembourg have an much good life and with their salary they can afford many things. So the Japanese people are more richer than the Korean people!

GDP includes the domestic imports.
