  • TheYohan98 First of all, NEVER let ANYONE put you down! I promise, just keep going at it. I used to have people tell me that I was not good at all but I decided to prove that I can be good. I eventually ended up being able to sing Beyonce songs and hit high notes and no one ever put me down again! It did take months though.... Anyways, next time your sister says your a bad singer, ask her if she can sing any better!

  • My sister keeps on discouraging me to not sing. She said I:

    1) Have a bad voice D:

    2) Suck at singing.......;((((

And when I am practicing your vocal training, she keeps telling me to stop because I suck...

    Please give me some advice....;((((((

  • @TheYohan98 Ignore her, she's a hater. KEEP PRACTICING!

  • @TheYohan98 shes jealous that you will get better

  • @TheYohan98 First, remember that you're singing because it's something you like to do. How she feels about it is irrelevant.

Next, remember that all great singers, and great artists of all kinds, had haters. Art appreciation is an individual thing, and real art always challenges some people.

Finally, no matter how you sound now, it's within you're capacity to get better. That's what EA is all about. And improving you're voice helps in every area of life, not just singing

  • You rock man. I sing in church and i can tell a huge difference in my vocals since I began watching your vids. On an even better note, others have noticed too!!! lol God Bless!

  • i look like a donkey, but its amazing. =D

  • Did I mention you are really helpful?

  • since quite some time, I noticed that singing makes me yawn and not in a way that i think i haven't enough oxygen, it's more like my voice isn't free and begins to free once i start to sing. especially when we did voice training in my choir.sorry for the my suckish explanation. it could be because of vibration?cause my throat slightly tickles after singing.it's also right now, after voice training.

is it something good? is it normal? please no guesses, just when someone really knows why...

  • @Mskatyward i yawn too and my other bandmate does as well when he sings sometimes...it doesnt happenn to me as much but it still does accasianally, i was hoping to get an explanation for that too

  • I am a brand new singer. and I really appreciate these tips. Do you have advice on increasing vocal range? I am a soprano, and I can hit some high notes but I want to keep taking it up and up. Please help.

  • Love your vids ..I got a question my passiaggio stops at G4 and that takes effort to get there.. is there a way for me to allow my chest voice to get higher or should i just mix?

  • Im, kinda having difficulties i can go that hi with my voice, so when ever i try to sing a song and post it the high notes mess me up. Does anyone have any advice ?

  • im so happy i found u

  • ahhh what is the name of that gospel song at the end? sounds like a good worship song. but i have a question. i have a deep voice so when i try to do high notes, my throat squeezes up. and due to me alwayssss having this mucus deep in my throat, the notes sound horrible. do you have any advice for that? youtube you can help too =D

  • do u have a video on falsetto

  • I cannot say this enough "Thank you so so much Eric" for sharing this gift to everyone.

    God Bless You...

  • I think it was mentioned in part 2 about how most guys should be able to hit the high notes ... Would you say the same if you were speaking about a male with a bass voice?

Also, I think I know what the head voice is, but I'm only able to hit a few notes in it, which makes me think that maybe it isn't head voice after all, and that it's falsetto, because I too am having a hard time differentiating the two.

  • still can't differentiate head voice and falsetto. :(

  • @rownaeh its the same thing... i think

  • I got a jazzy voice

  • I'm up now practicing with you...I cannot afford vocal training and in my bucket list is to one day sing live at a local restaurant or bar for my family and friends. I could use your help. I like your style find you knowledgable and funny. Thanks

  • im tryna learn to get the tone to rap and will this help me?

  • @ZyggieFromJiU...well I'm an ok singer but I'm not a pro, so u might want to ask one, but when that happened to my my vocal coach told me to put more air into that spot and try to get the two voices to mesh together

  • Idk if I'm doing this stuff right... It doesn't feel like I'm straining but I kind of sound like I'm straining... I don't get it.. Anyone?

  • THIS IS HELPING MY VOICE SO MUCH!

ALMOST AS STRONG'S AS B'S! (BEYONCE)

  • i cant vibrate my voice when attempting the bbbbrrrrrrrr....what do i do plz?

  • why do I hate my head voice? sounds like a girl T.T

  • when i go from head voice to full voice with the lip roll technique there's like a little blip like

    (head voice) Fullvoice

    bbbbrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrEUbrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

  • 1. I thought we would learn Beyonce riffs and runs :(

    2. Your still a good teachers =) !!

  • You're a great teacher man! Hope to see you soooooooooonnnnnn.

  • This guy is very good at teaching. It seems like he knows exactly what I'm thinking; or he predicts what I'm going to think and addresses it beforehand. When you mention "crossing over" to the guys, do you mean falsetto? Is that the same as "head voice"?

  • Wassup folks! For NEW continued weekly vocal advice, make sure that you check out "The SINGERS' Show" on my channel every week! Ask questions, get answers, grow vocally... See y'all there!

  • ok i can't even do the first run to begin with. i have been singing for years but i can't do them. is it like an 'either you have it or you don't' type thing or can it be taught? i'm not talking about singing, i'm talking about runs, trils etc. ?

  • @michellekara No, it just takes a lot of training~ :)

  • Wait the other video was the slow one? oh man...

  • how is the breathing supposed to be? is it one long breath??

  • @Bdela13 Its in part 1 the vocal warm up.

  • ok,i really wanna learn how to do rifts and runs cause i suck at them, and i can not go as fast as your going no matter how hard i try, like i can go from high to low really ast but i cant cant o from low to high.is there any way you can help with that?

  • @haten5 yea that can be hard to do the runs fast, u have to get ur vocal chords used to to that movement, once their in shape u will be able to go faster

    can anyone help? pls

  • i notice that when I sing, i start to sound like im singing with a clogged nose. Any tips?

  • eric i dont' know squat about singing but some of my family sing and my dad is magnificient. i am trying to learn now finally and i've been watching your vids from warm ups to riffs and now to high notes and practising everyday. for someone who never really sang before and sounds horrible would doing this eventually make me really good?

  • Thanks for the great vids. Could you maybe do a segment on vocal health sometime? I'm having some issues recently where my voice is 'croaky' and it sound like phlem around where I change into head voice. I can't clear my throat like normal... it sounds like it's on the small (secondary) folds of the voice, not where the usual phlem is.... any idea why or what i could do about it.

    thanks Eric

  • i really appreciate this, best advice ive heard

  • Love your techniques! I've been singing my whole life but i always slack on the warming up part...but i just started using your methods everyday as my warm ups and I can tell a difference in only a matter of weeks. I wish i could have you as my vocal coach! ~Maryann

  • thank you so much..i'be been trying to get that "bridge" between my normal voice and my head voice..thank you :)

  • when im singin like a normal song, after i sing for a few minz my voice startz to qiver, like im shakin or something, and i start out soundin super good and then i sound terriable by the end! do u knw why, and how i can change that? any body have any suggestinz? eric?? anybody??

  • You're forcing the sound, try pushing underneath your mouth on the fleshy part while you're singing, like above your larynx, and see if it's tense and hard. It should be relaxed the whole time, do scale drills with a finger above the larynx and if it starts to get hard, relax the throat. It'll take a couple weeks to get used to singing without forcing, but you'll notice that your voice isn't as hurt after singing when you sing that way.
