  • i would sell that and get a gt. cobras are over rated gas suckers. gts can get the same power cheaper and look cooler dude

  • @FuelCellZz ..you OBVIOUSLY ARE CLUELESS... I HAVE A 08 MUSTANG STEEDA...I DO LOVE IT...BUT THERES NO WAY IN THE WORLD THE GT CAN MAKE THE SAME POWER AS THE 03/04 COBRA...DIFFERENT BOTTOM END....THERES A LIMIT THE GTS COULD GO UP TO...BUT NOT THE 03/04 COBRAS..THEY COULD EVEN HANDLE MORE HORSE POWER THAN THE GT500....SO BEFORE YOU WRITE SOMETHING MAKE SURE YOU KNOW WHAT YOUR TALKING ABOUT..

  • @FuelCellZz actually u can get 4000 and make 600 to 700 to the wheels compared spending10000 to make the same power on a gt the 0304 cobra are cheaper to make power but do suck gas and they are beasts from the factory but the new 5.o are to

  • NICE GIGAPIXEL VIDEO

  • Stock Terminator Cobra engines transitioned from the previous aluminum block to a cast iron block, with Zolner and Manley internals. Ford rated it at 390bhp and 390lbf of torque, which was sandbagged by about 30-40hp. The eaton m112 supercharger produced 8lb of boost and had a displacement of about 1.8L. With a KB 2.8, there is no reason not to hit those numbers, and yes the bottom end will handle it, now please stfu and learn to do some research.

  • you still have stock bottom end? I'd be real carefull with that much HP.

  • since when are svt motors built at the dealership? 03/04 cobras came with the strongest bottom end out of any mustang ever...stop getting v8 information from 4banger forums tool

  • probably 700 crank :)

i gotta tell people my supra makes 600hp and i leave out the wheel hp because people just dont believe it would have almost 800 crank hp... they gotta wait for the trap speeds i guess >:D

  • @adamgm84 no probably 700 to the wheels... looks like a 2.8 non mammoth which with an aggressive tune could make 700 now im not saying thats on pump gas prob meth mix or c16?

  • theres no way hes pushing 700.. hed have to have bigger headers catback.. and i mean like bassani x pipes.. and probably double pump carbourator or fuel injection.

  • @pumpuptheadio lololol double pump carbourator??? where do you see a carb on this car... just stfu he probably does have headers an xpipe and full exhaust and he more than likely has twin GT fuel pumps

  • @pumpuptheadio let's review what you just said. Carburetors on a late model car? You sir, should watch less transformers and spend more time in the real world.

  • I highly doubt its pushing 700hp. Looks like a stock motor with a kenne bell thats it. maybe 500hp. "Maybe"

  • @popester112 dumbass people can make close to 550 with the stock eaton damn... know what your talking about

  • these fords can hold 1000hp on the stock engine kane65 is right you can make 550 with the stock supercharger you can make more than 700 with a kb or whipple you dont know wat u talking bout bro you can push out 400hp with just a intake and exhaust

  • @porsche911turbogt3 I work at the ford dealership. I rebuild and build these motors. I know exactly what I'm talking about. Yes it is possible to hold 700 hp, but for only maybe one test drive, The bottom end in the mustangs are very weak and can't hold boost at high psi, the bottom end will blow in a heart beat. Oh, and you get more hp out of a procharger k1. Kenne Bell is good but you get more out of a procharger.

    Thanx.

  • @popester112 Prochargers "get more" because of higher boost, go Youtube "stock block Cobra" and see what you have. No Dealership "builds" an SVT engine assembly, maybe rebuild, but even thats VERY doubtful as 99.9 percent of SVT owners don't go to a dealer anyhow, too many shops have built excellent engines for half a dealer would charge to have someone like you half ass the engine build. BTW forged bottom end in SVT Termi's can EASILY handle over 700 hp for even years.

  • @popester112 You don't even understand the difference between a roots blower and centri blower. FYI, the 03-04 Cobra's are known for pushing over 1000 HP on the stock block. Many run them at close to 900RWHP daily w/o a rebuild. This is done with E-85 most of the time. You work at a Ford dealership and don't know a thing about these cars? I highly doubt you work for Ford lol

  • @daboyho50 Im not trying to be an ass or come off as being a wise ass, but most cobras dont last that long with 1000hp, pistons are a weak point as are the studs, however the block is fuckin indestructible

  • I see you dont even have an "Idler Pulley"...What exactly is your setup.....

  • May I ask what you did to it to make it 700 hp....Just curious.

  • im taking the eaton out of my 03 cobra and geting a twin turbo setup

  • can i have the eaton?

  • you is that a stock intake? seems pretty restrictive..

  • HA HA good one.

  • ok..im glad to see that you can stand by your car...now fuckin drive that beast!

  • if ur cars missin from ur driveway i have it lol jkjkjk

  • i would not want to be behind the wheel of a car that runs 8s with street tires

  • @pokersuperstar I meant street legal. Like Mickey Thomson E.T. Streets...they're practically slicks.

  • Of course looking better and sounding better is more important... dumbass. Learn about a car and then post.

  • I like the Whipple over KB they look better(and they look like the stock blower's and I like the look of the stock blower's)and there louder to nmo

  • who cares what it looks like or sounds like it's horsepower were looking for

  • true that my friend

  • nice ride, but if your going to make it for 25 sec then just do us a favor and keep it to yourself or make it at least longer then 2 min or race someone.

  • wow ,25 seconds for this shit ....no life ,,,.get it on tha road

  • That thing sounded bad ass when it revved it sounded EVIL

  • yeah pretty blah video...we see the kenne bell but for crying out loud the stock intake is still of the car, why idk?

  • That video was fucking stupid .

  • wow what a boring ass vid...

  • come on old man at least rev it up one time......lame

  • hey man what all u got n ur ride?

  • nice car lets see it in action

  • i wish i was a car for one day just so i could fuck it

  • I second that on the belt slip. I bet it's still a monster though!!!

  • wow 700hp and no idler pulley that belt must slip like crazy when you get the revs up

  • i like all muscles but the cobra is easily moddable

  • i prefere f bodies but they r hard to work on but i have nothing against a mustang i no some stangs that will fly

  • Same here, I just really don't like mustangs except for the KB cobras (whipples as well) and the Saleen Extreme S281. But yeah i'd prefer larger cubes and nitrous over small cubes and FI. But thats just me, still nice cobra!!!

  • im not to firmiliar with superchargers but can you tune them like you can with turbos to make more/less power?

  • I think you change the pull size

  • You don't necessarily tune the supercharger itself. You can really only control boost by changing pulley combinations like smithy4067 said. You really tune your cars computer to control different amounts of air and fuel flowing through your system.

  • this is part of why turbos are better, but i still prefer supercharged especially for drifting since there is no lag. guess they both have thier ups and downs.

  • do a mix: procharger.

  • the procharger is still belt driven so it's not really "best of both worlds."

  • i would MUCH rather have a procharger than a turbo.

  • no you wouldn't.

  • i'd like to see a car that heavy run 8's on street tires. is nitrous involved? running on alcohol or pump gas?

  • @Wojoray bullshit

  • @silentsoul86 How? If the javelin can run 7s on E.T. street mickeys which have have the bare minimum of tread to be legal, then I don't see why 8 sec is bullshit. I never said he was running everyday radials...just street legal

  • @Iceman103105 id like to see anything run 8's on street tires lol

  • holy hell! i would love to see that beast in action. i have a friend that drives a 70 nova ss with a 502 fuel injected monster runnin close to 600hp he has 16'' wide mickey tompson drag tires when he wants to get stupid. but he only takes it out on sunny dry days cuz he has about $40,000 invested in it. it is beautiful!

  • Im making 750 RWHP with a KB 2.8 L But Im not running a stock air box and Im also running a 3.1" Pulley (24 lbs of boost) but I have about 13k in the car so I have lots of fun with it

  • ford all the way, and im a mechanic. so i guess im one of the 1% that think GTOs are G-A-Y

  • Get Tools Out!

  • If you're talking about the new ones, I'm with you

  • how much would a Kenne Bell supercharger cost me ?

  • Upwards of $5k

  • I find it hard pressed to see 700+ with a stock airbox and no auxilery pulley. For 700+ u would have to be running 20+ psi. That setup would have way to much belt slip

  • agreed. X2

  • wow it that a stock air box

  • it that is

  • @dirtybrown3

Thx - this is 100% THE MAN!

  • in my experience with me owning gm's and my friends with fords; gm's will run great until one day they suddenly die. fords will run like shit for 2 years if you let them.

  • i'll take it

  • yea right

  • Heh, Ford guys don't have to be cocky. Go anywhere and it's always the Chevy guys acting like a-holes...yeah, I'd be pissed if I drove around in anything that was made by GM too!

Work at an auto parts store and you'll know what I mean. Probably 10 GM parts to 1 Ford part. Especially Silverados. And that's no exaggeration. If GM went out of business the auto parts stores would, too.

  • I dunno- I'm a Ford guy, but I believe that GM engineers their products better. But, I do see what you're saying.

    Hahaha

  • Dawrr if that seriously were the case you wouldn't sell mountains of replacement parts for one make and an "average" number of parts for the other.

Ford has had the highest reliability ratings out of the Big 3 for a while now, too.

  • Agreed

  • this is a perfect example of why chevy guys say ford guys are assholes... why cant we just live in peice and make fun of tuner cars together?

  • whats the point of building up cars if you cant talk some shit on the way

  • So true. Fords are 10 times easier to work on and they have a lot less break downs.

  • not really, fords parts are difficult to repair but all cars have there ups and downs. im a 85-93 mustang guy all the way though.

  • Everyone that i know would way rather work on Fords vs chevys. And it is my personnal choice also

  • LOL take a look at that engine bay (03/04) Cobra and then go look at my LS2 GTO, Ill take the GM any day. So will 99% of the mechanics.

  • lol i have someone with the same setup if u wanna race for cash

  • No way, an LS1s engine compartment is so crunched and you can't even see half the motor

  • I've worked on both chevys and fords and by far the easier one is ford. Its all about preference. Calm the Fuck down. And yeah I drive a 5.0 and damn proud of it, so don't criticize me for my preference DIPSHIT

  • u have no pics stupid..u keep saying My My My but i dont SEE SEE SEE

  • Amen man.

  • this video doesn't show much. show us some dyno runs or track runs or something cuz like i said, this vid doesn't show much at all.

  • wow all you guys are thick... stock there 250-350 hp... a supercharger couldn't double it... unless the motor was built but i highly doubt that ford owners are known to be cocky

  • Debuting in early 2002, the 2003 Cobra came with a supercharged 4.6 L DOHC engine rated at 390 hp (291 kW) and 390 ft·lbf (529 N·m) of torque. It was later learned that SVT (Special Vehicle Team) had underrated the Cobra, as many owners have reported 400 hp (321 kW) and 400 ft·lbf (583 N·m) of torque.

  • still haven't proven my point.... no way in hell can you double a mustangs hp with just a higher psi pulley or a diff supercharger...

if anything he needs tons of mods just to get to 600

  • Up to 617 RWHP vs. stock 366HP with stock cats, MAF meter, throttle body and injectors from ONLY a Kenne Bell Supercharger Upgrade kit and Cobra Cool Air Kit - and 656HP @ 26 psi. Power levels above 617HP requires 55-71 lb injectors. Throttle body, exhaust, ignition etc. can increase HP beyond 656 to 701=RWHP and 925HP with cams. Consult us at these HP levels and see Kenne Bell Tech Tips and Dyno Tests.

  • The 2003 Cobra Came with a Fully forged engine and cylinder heads cabable of 8000+ Rpm. the engine makes around 450HP stock. Upgradeing to a Kenne Bell Blower (2.8L) will net approx 600-700 (on pump gas and stock engine) and well over 1000+ with race gas and intake mods. Just go to their website or any other FORD magazine/website this is all common knowledge lol

  • If they were as easy as you put it or as reliable as you make them sound. there would be alot more....so i still have doubts. im Pro import. but i do appreciate a good muscle every now and again. i dont see many high HP supercharged stangs. only turbo.

  • Let me know how many 03-04 Cobras that are for sale LOL. they dont even last 2 weeks on dealers lots around here. not to mention they still bring 24,000-28,000 Used! The mustang supports the whole supercharger industry almost lol

  • well theres only like 4 fast cars in my town. and muscle dosnt exist where i live. the fastest car in this town is a TT AWD porche which i can hang with 1st, and 2nd gear. but after that he rapes me. the fastest cars in my town. dont even hate on them. is an all motor 280whp eg daily driven. and then theres a civic 4 door that has 240whp all motor. and i still dont understand how they beat the 400awhp turbo sti. but they do. its amazing.

  • Limited production car, not mant ppl want to do much to a low production car, plus you dont need more than 300 hp to take care of much thats on the street anyway.

  • @hooshoub

Ur an idiot. This isnt a mustang its a cobra. They shouldnt even call it a mustang cobra svt. 03-04 cobras baselined at 390hp stock with some times dynoed to the wheels close to that. Most were about 430hp stock. Therefore replacing the stock charger with a KB Mammoth 2.8L supercharger. With an intake, pulley and a good tune on prolly 20 psi or so could hit 700whp no problem. That said this one in particular with a stock intake and wrong pulley is prolly hittin 700 at the motor.

  • stupid there not 250-350hp with only minor mods a 03-04 cobra can make 500hp easily!! stop hating, and by the way the motors internals are already forged!! why a build up!!! i hate ignorant people

  • Dude...sweeetttt. :D

  • I mean smaller pulley...duh LOL!!!

  • Well... around 700hp is still less than 600rwhp considering the loss in HP. It's definitely possible that it's running that high even if it has a KB 2.2L... might need a bigger pulley tho.

  • hes 03 steve on svt performance, look him up, or modular mustangs, thanx for playin!

  • for all u dummies i didnt know 450hp would run a 10.74

  • 450 hp might run mid to high 11's but not mid 10's. I know this from experience with mustangs of this era.

  • lol yeah okay, with the stock filter box and a the stock kb 3.5 upper pulley. That thing would be high 11's at best given a good driver and tires and thats all that is done to it.

  • ok dummie thats my cousins olda car he had like 720 at the wheels he ran a 10.14 with a 50 shot..it would have ran a high 9

  • Lol yeah okay, with the stock paper filter and stock KB 3.5 upper pulley. That thing should be high 11's at best given a good driver, tires, and thats all that is done to it!

  • for some reason it wont let me post a link to the updated pics, leave a response with ur email address if you want to see em

  • Thats a 2.2L kenne bell...they are good to about 650rwhp on race gas and a SMALL upper pulley and a larger crank pulley. My guess is that its around 475-500rwhp at most.

  • that car is a joke. no way that is 700hp on that pulley that large and a freaking stock airbox. are you a tart?

  • Yeah ... gonna have to agree w/ matt and andrew. I can't see how that cobra is puttin' down over 700 to the wheels w/ a pulley that large. Post up a vid of it on the dyno. I'd like to see this 700 rwhp.

  • no way is had 700hp. maybe 400+ at the most

  • lol, the stock SVT cobras in that year had 385 HP. So adding a good aftermarket supercharger could boost hp to almost 700.

  • well i can say nice cobra but its not 700Hp with the stock air box and that large of a pulley that pulley is prolly good for 15psi, and if you are in the 700hp and dont have a auxs idler you got some belt slip issues, I have a 03 cobra with a whipple you can click my name and check my vids

  • yea its my cousins old car after he was done witha ll the mods and the kenne bell he had a little over 700 at the wheels..

  • Stock air box?

  • yes its a 2.4...its supposed to support 700hp....But that has 742hp at the wheels..Roughly 1200hp in all..It pulls wheelies and runs a high 9 with the right N.O.S shot

  • 2.4L kennebell

  • thast a 2.8 kenne bell rite?

  • drerk your a clown fag its a joke thats my cousisns car at the time at my house i know its fast and til this day will beat yours homo

  • I see my old drop top gt for a second at the end :(

  • slow

  • Actually your just stupid. his car is faster than hell. I can say that because I own an 03 cobra. Now why dont u just run along and drive you shitty ass honda civic that sounds like its choking itself to death (which it is).

  • Nice man you got one fast car
