Terry I think the reason it would not work at higher pressure is that the momentum of the flywheel has to be powerful enough to cause the pushrod to be able to open the check valve.maybe a flywheel with more weight,or larger diameter.will be able to open it at higher pressures. have you tried generating any 12 volt dc with this setup?
You've got a nice little Uni-flow bash valve engine. Now try insulating the cooling fins. Wrap with masking tape, and fill with a shot of spray foam. You want the heat. You have solved the problem plaguing low pressure bash valve engines! Heavy flywheel, and long inlet port prevents pressure build before TDC. Brillant. Lengthen it more and you will get longer cutoff for higher speed. Try 6" long pipe nipple and a slightly longer contact with piston head.
I love this video. Its like making something for nothing. Thats my favorite thing to do. I see you subscribed to my vids and hope you enjoy them. I would like to see more details on the push rod setup. like maybe an other vid showing the engine in different positions of the stroke and whats happening. Show it to a friend slowly then make the video with him holding the camera. GREAT WORK. I got my wood stove ready.
I will make another Video and explain in more detail, I was so excited when i got got it working, this was quick and it took me a little bit to figure out how to upload and stuff. Thx for the comment.
dude thats awesome! i hope you make a video with a more detailed description on how you set this up i want to make one . very cool indeed, looking foward to seeing more from this project so i subscribed thanks for showing this

I am really interested to know how you set up the check valve to work with this engine.
