TIGI actually has a dry shampoo in their NEW Sessions Series.. Basically the reason why this particular dry shampoo is better is because IT DOES NOT leave the white residue afterwards. Hope that helped = )
Thanks for answering my question, Elle! :-) I think amybe I'm going to try something new...maybe that Mason Pearson brush/comb or the Denman and see if those work better for me. My hair is growing pretty well, but I feel like my paddle brush is snarling(?) my hair at times....or it sounds like it is. Thanks again for taking the time out to offer suggestions.
carefull with the brush with balls at the end, I used it for a long time bc I was great for detangling. Didnt realize until way too late that I had so many broken hairs on my head. I have so many tapered ends, I threw my brushes away. Wish it didnt take me so long to realize...and by the way the balls were not falling off, so that is not a real tale tale sign its breaking your hair
@kaylaknot The reason I said to watch the balls is that if they come off, the ends are jagged and they will snag your hair. Of course you're right, everyone should monitor their breakage and see how many little hairs they are getting in their comb/brush. I used a paddle brush for several months without issue, I just don't like to use them in the shower. It may be different for finer hair though, as it's more prone to breakage.
(This is in regards to the question "After my big chop, what products should I use"?) I believe that as *Naturals* although we dont want to become product junkies we almost have to. As our hair grows and our texture changes, we need different products, differents oils, and different styling tools as well. So we will continue to buy different products throughout our journey. So i say just have at it and try different things! :)
@Geechi28 Lol! I'm glad you enjoy them. I'm trying to streamline questions - people ask me a lot of things on unrelated videos in the comments, and the answers just end up getting lost and no one else sees them, so it starts to become repetitive. That's why I'm directing people to the FAQ section. :)
@icygal08 There's a Google Moderator tool on the channel page. You can access it by clicking the logo at the top left, and I just added the link at the end of the video. Hth!
@TheHairAddiction101 Yep, GREAT point re: the water on the scalp! I agree with this...the issue that I had with cowashing is that if my hair was dirtier, the conditioner would cause even MORE build up on my scalp. It was nasty!
Great FAQ. I love that you emphasize doing what's best for one's own har, it's so important for people to know that. Oyinhandmade is located in Baltimore, and I am in MD and been wondering how well the products work; I know a lot of people love them, but I never really here why. What do you like about them?
@Chrissy4281 Thank you! There are several reviews of their products on the site, check them out! They make awesome products that also smell awesome. <3
