very helpful! i haven't been allowing myself cheat days and found that every few weeks i end up going on binges every few weeks. Lost 30 pounds since march 2011 and 10-20 more to go but have been at a plateu since NOVEMBER...after being at the plateau for about a month , is when my binges started
@radiantchristina Thanks for your lovely comment Christina. If you have plateaued the cheat days will help. Be careful with your portion control as it is not an excuse to go on an all you can eat day.
I also recommend that when you exercise you either slightly increase your intensity or workout a little longer to help you overcome a plateau. Both of these work really well. Plus keep an eye on your calories going in versus calories being burned daily.
@weightlosssolutiontv After dropping forty pounds I have been at a plateau since December, looking back I've only dropped about 2 pounds since December 15th, however I feel it is my fault. I fell off the exercise bandwagon about that time. So the obvious solution for me is, get back to that gym! Im paying $34 a month and not even using it, I must be crazy.
@DerPilotMann Yes, going back to the gym will overcome your plateau. Huge well done on your 40 pounds loss. A combination of cardio and strength training done consistently will achieve you your goal.
Keep the exercise going to maintain your ideal weight once you are happy with the way you look. That is one of the keys to success long term.
