...it wasn't in the top three for sure, haha! If my memory serves me correctly, I was somewhere in the top 15, but I don't even know if I should have placed that high... the main thing about that contest (for me) was that I got to see a lot of homies from different parts of Louisiana that I don't get to skate with on a regular basis. I mainly enter contests (on the rare moment I do) to catch up with friends, you know?

Not a personal favorite of mine, mainly because I skate a lot of transition (they don't seem to carve like a lot of other trucks), but a ton of my friends back them 100%... they're considerably different than any truck I've ever ridden, which could be a good or bad thing depending on what you like, y'know? i live in florid and i joined a westide skateshop comp and i got 3rd place i was a little nervous i kickflip the 4 at are park and then back 180 the hip then i bk flip the hip and half cabed the hip i got 20bucks and a sticker lol it was realy fun

It really trips me out, as a lot of my local homies are around the same age... but here in Hammond you'd probably find that we've maintained that laid back, just for fun mentality... a lot of us older guys here are really active in the local skate scene, local politics, and in my case, state politics. We like to think our locals are clay that we're forming into skaters with a skate-ethic... an ethic that says you love skating more than you love yourself, otherwise we wouldn't be injured so much!

I love watching videos from back in this era, like the 90's and early 2000's. Skating seemed cooler back then, not as much about sponsorship and stuff and just the style with the music on the skate videos and the clothing and the whole image.

Yeah, this park in this video was really really sick... it changed a little bit over the years, but it was one of the sickest indoor parks ever... it was a child of Urban 9, so it had a good skate ethic.

If people say that you suck, then don't listen to them. It may look like you suck in the video but in real life it looks amazing. (although on video the ramps look rather small and stuff. But I know that the camera makes everything look soo weak.

Yeah, my philosophy is that NOBODY sucks on a board as long as they're having fun, which is really what it's all about. I mean, I personally take skateboarding seriously enough to make it a large part of my life, but skateboarding is ultimately a personal thing... it's us versus ourselves and our boards. Beyond that, I just disregard anyone that dislikes the way I ride... and plenty do, but I'm still enjoying it like I did when I was a kid, you know? Roll forever!
