OMG he sounds just like he did in his first album even though he's like old now. i didnt know he released more albums after daylight in 2002 because they were not released internationally, or maybe just not in the Philippines. He used to be so pretty back in 96. watch his Wishful Thinking Video. He was a total eye candy. Anyway im glad to hear about his achievements post daylight album
Such an important statement on the greed-filled, poser-happy world we live in now. And Duncan manages to wrap such a powerful message in a great melody and hummable hook.
I discovered this song on a college station purely by chance--it has been an inspiration for me, a song for this strange era we're living through. I'm so glad others find him to be a musical genius.
I think David Poe provides the bacground vocals on the original studio recording. Does anybody know? I used to follow David and his bands The Scam and The Life and Times in Dayton. Cool guy. And no, I'm not into Eminem, this is my son's account!
Musically Phantom Moon was strong, (and fittingly that was Duncan's only real involvement) but for the most part it got too abstract for its own good lyrically.
I think his most concise work was Humming, but maybe that's just me.

This is one of his best songs. It shows that he has evovled as a songwriter, which he needed to do. Great stuff.

Duncan Sheik is a huge Nick Drake fan....I think he is one of the few artists to capture a bit of Nick's soul musically.
