i have taken apart a LS cluster and currently have 6 LS needles in my room and they are all CCFL.

the LS 400 had Electroluminescent Gauges right from 1989...the rest of the Lexus Lineup didn't get EL Gauges til much later.

Dude. I can now recall how bad ass it felt to drive with lights like that in my LS400.  In regards to Body Design, Drawing, Interior Design, Lighting and adding computer electronics, Lexus was ahead of its time.

Go to Lexus owners club and look for Lexucan's post on how to do this. It's fairly easy and cheap.

These are not lexucan's needles. Lexucan does have a DIY option for those who are good with electronics. I have seen his work. Anyone interested check it out. There is a very big difference from my cluster and lexucan. My cluster does not use any needles from the 92-96 Lexus ES300. These are moded needles i customed myself. Very rare mod i did. I call this one "the Laser"

Yes. These clusters are from 1992-1996.

i get that you change the lights and allk but how come the warning lights are all lit up while you drive?

the lights are on because there is a problem with that part of the car.

No, i don't believe so. there is a bulb burn out indicator on the instrument panel. it is the blue light on the upper right.

If a bulb burns out either in the tail lights or front lights it will trigger the sensor and light up the instrument panel symbol in the upper right corner letting you know you have a burned out light. i have one of the license plate lights burned out so my indicator is lite.

There is no bulb #'s because there is no light bulbs in the cluster. They have been replaced with 5MM and 3MM Leds.
