Not that a person's inability to spell the word "sincere" implies a lack of expertise required to be employed by a pharmaceutical company (in any capacity, as a scientist, marketing/advertising employee,etc.), but it certainly makes your claim of being educated suspect.

It's something much more sinister than that, it's a very dangerous movement that exploits people's vulnerability and stupidity.

The study of truth and study of knowledge is actually known as 'epistemology' and has been investigated for millennia, and is a science in its own right. Research epistemology (theory of knowledge) and you'll that that's where the real hijacking has happened. It's a victim of the machine.

Like scientists and philosophers continuously point it out: People don't like to admit to themselves that they DON'T KNOW. They would rather make baseless assumptions out of ignorance than risk living in uncertainty and REALITY (also a vague concept) is full of uncertainties and approximates. Even the things we characterize as right aren't 100% certain, otherwise they'd be dogma and absolutist concepts that all must follow. We supposedly left that kind of attitude in the Dark Ages.
