It's so strange to see Twix grow up right before my eyes! Such a quick learner! (And a great teacher of course!!!) Just awesome to watch you two work together!!
AWESOME! Twix is doing so well! He has so much enthusiasm, and it looks like you two are really close! I love how positive you are, some trainers get so frustrated when their dog doesn't do something perfectly! P.S. I think Twix needs a bigger blanket to roll up in XD LOL
@MosesAgility236 I have watched other TDCT videos and they used food or rewards. I think that you can't use a food lure to get the dog to do the behavior. Since I am a CTDI, I get a 50% discount on the TDCT until the end of Dec. So, I am still working on Isabelle's. She is not the work-a-holic that my BCs are! :) BTW, I just posted Bandit's TDCT video. :)) Thank you for your nice comments!!
Oh how I loved this! I watched it twice! And I love that idea to put the clicker in so you can show people that's what you used to teach these AMAZING tricks with! And 18 months old?!?!? Almost 2?!?!? Wow it's like he was just a pup at 8 weeks! Loved this video! And of course I hope both Twix and Bandit's chompers are doing well :) Bandit was also great at self control while you were working with Twix and not running to play too! Good job and 5 million stars!
@bodeanicole Thanks Nicole! I just wish Bandit would have had that self control the day he went after the tennis ball. It was such a weird thing, Bandit is always so calm and sweet waiting his turn, but not that one time. ARG! I know, it feels like yesterday that I brought Twix home. He is a year and a half. Wow, time flies when your having FUN! :) Their teeth are fine, they are on pain meds. Surgery Dec 12... :(
Just love Twix's excitement and willingness to work. Have taught many of those tricks to Milo but he works in slo-mo! He doesn't have Collie speed at all, unless its retrieving a ball!
@jasperaliceuk Thank you! He loves loves loves to work! He even wants to work for his dinner! I have a slo-mo dog too! Isabelle, is really hard to motivate but I love that they all have their own personalities! Isabelle is a Therapy Dog and she just loves it. Twix would not like that very much, so they all have their own thing! :))
@jasperaliceuk My dog Zoey is the same way! I've taught her multiple other tricks as well, but she is not nearly as fast as a BC! Hoping to get videos up soon!
@lexisdogs Thank you! He is a great dog and I just love working with him and building a stronger closer bond! I will probably wait until he is 2 years old before we start trialling. I want to make sure that when he starts he is ready for Excellent courses. He is too fast for me and I have to train more "go on's, get out's, and SOLID 2o2o contacts" before we are ready for the ring. :)) I am picky!
@amazingmutts Thanks Nicole, he LOVES to WORK! To him it is all play and that is how I like it! :) He loves to move around and invent new things. Just tonight he started jumping up on our retaining wall and walking across it like a dog walk. He is a fun dog. BTW, I just uploaded Bandit's video. :)) I feel bad for Bandit, because every time I work with him, Twix barks and then poor Bandit does not want to work. ARG!
@150614 I don't need the clicker, but I really wanted to show that all the tricks were taught with it. Twix can do entire 2-3 minute freestyle routines without a clicker. I also wanted them to work harder for the filming of this long video. :)
