Just goes to show that the technology was there, there's no reason why they couldn't have built a prestel TV in much the same way as we have internet TV's. I think if it was built into TV's the service would have exploded in popularity, probably changing the course of history. Of course this is just proof that it's always money that stops progress

@UncleFeedle Ahh Prestel/Micronet was brilliant. I've still got my viewdata software that runs on my Amstrad CPC6128 - pity I can't use it anymore.
