I work for the RSPCA and got my cat as a rescue cat at 6 months old hes now 17lbs .. I dont give him treats, he has never shown any interest in human food so we dont give him that, due to his past he is wary of people so won't leave our garden so I know he's not being fed elsewhere... he is on a weight loss programme from the vets, his food is weighed he gets plenty of play time and yet hasn't lost an ounce..it makes me feel like a bad owner...what else can I do?
