Thanks very much, Suzy, even though the slides may have been a little too handy. (I have to stop making fun of this video, doggone it!). Semi-humorously, John
Look for me on NBC's forthcoming "Great Musical Performers of The 21st Century", Astrid. (Ha,ha.). Hope this number wasn't so "relaxing" that you didn't fall out of any chairs in a state of soporific catatonia. (Double ha, ha..) Semi-sarcastically, Jon Stewart Dickey
Hello John, this is a new one for me and I love it. Never saw the movie but would like to, I always liked Alan Ladd movies. You did your usual fine job singing and playing. Enjoyed it very much.
You mentioned "restless wind", I remember "the wayward wind " by Gogi Grant. Thanks for sharing my friend. wd
Thank you, W.D., for the kind accolades. Both song titles were made in reference to a friend who called this song "Restless Hands", to which I responded with "C'mon, 'The Wayward Wind' is a restless wind also, you know". Kind of dopey inside stuff. Come to think of it, very dopey. Dopey John
The "Horse Whisperer" was an offshoot of the aforementioned flik, John. The vet in question was an equine EEN and T specialist. He was also a vocal teacher who could coax the most marvelous sotto voce from any nag extant. I may have an excerpt in my barn. Hey!
Don't like to sound obtuse, George, but...uh...I don't get it. Be so kind, if you might, to explicate. Did I do wrong? Did I do wrong, George? Tell me, George! (Free-form quote from Steinbeck's "Of Mice and Men.) Abtruse John
I don't think a lot of people do, Dean. Turns out Tex Ritter, Mel Torme and even Soupy Sales, (for all I know) and many more have made recordings of this chestnut. Who knew? Unknowing John
Hello John this was beautiful loved my listen to your beautiful voice :) :)
