  • what the fuck !!!!

  • he s better than a merica

  • Rhydian is the best what UK music scene can offer to US.

He is the best young vocalist, better than any other on the both sides of the Atlantic, he is an excellent performer, flamboyant with the brilliant communication skills, his charm and charisma are bigger than life and he is not just outstandingly talented artists, but very determined and hard working individual.

And on the top of this he is a true artist!

  • That being said he still looks like a character from Bladerunner or the Highlander!

  • I am a US Rhydian fan right here! I've bought his CD in support already. Rhydian is a wonderful classically trained vocalist making it in the pop scene and it's great!

  • of course he can! because hi is already "crack" Finland!!... I mean, not all finland but me.

  • I am 100% sure America would love Rhydian.

Americans love big personalities, interesting artists, big voices, profound artistic power - and that's what Rhydian has got in an abundance!

he just needs proper songs and even more important a huge publicity as big as Leona has got.

At the end of the day he is much better artist, singer and the performer, entertainer than Leona and Josh Groban!

  • Sarah...you used Rhydian and BIG PERSONALITY in the same sentence. Pleassse..think ENGLISH and GET REAL. Its taken him over a year to do anything. Jesus..if its taken him THIS LONG to do anything worth noting he will probably not go anywhere. Give it a year and he'll be off the radar again. And how in hell can you claim he is a better artist, singer and performer than Leona?? That girl ALREADY has the US Market sewn up. She's getting an oscar for doing a movie score already. So get real

  • If he cannot crack America that simply just means Americans don't know what "true talent" means.

  • No i don't think so... sorry he's a bit scary really. Leona is the only who did so far.... but i think shayne ward would have a better chance then Rhydian. Also america loves divas!!! Im sure alexandra burke will also have no problem with cracking the american market!

  • Bluejolt..your right.....Rhydian is kidding himself a little and so are some of the people here commenting if they think he'll go further than Leona Lewis..dont get me wrong i dont like her music...but she is EXACTLY what the US Market LOVES. Rhydian will be a five minute wonder..And as correctly stated Alexandra Burke will go a lot further in the US market too. They are just both better singers..better artists....bigger personalities.

  • Alter, was is'n das für'n Lackaffe?

  • The problem with America is that if you're not American it's very hard to get the promotion as a relatively new artist that's necessary to Sell the Concert Tickets and fill the Arenas to make it profitable.

If there's an American Artist that fits into the same mould as a Non-American Artist the Record Companies, radio stations and TV Networks will constantly promote the American Artist...A very good example of this is Madonna being heavily promoted while America almost ignored Kylie Minogue.

  • what the hell was that???

  • I think it is very possible, His Duet with Idina Menzel on the album is amazing, his debut album has now achieved platinum status in both the UK and Ireland. and is in the top 30 highest sellers of 2008, after only five weeks. He is also the top male debut artist of the year. A wonderful end to a wonderful year.

And he has Simon Cowell on his side.

  • No way! He's rather gay looking and the peroxide blond has to go. Plus his singing genre is loaded with potential stars both here in the States and in Europe! Not that classical is that popular anyway!

Opinion? He should have stuck in sports. His vibrato is forced and unnatural. Way too stiff and just doesn't stand a chance in America if his life depended on it! Leon Jackson has a great future, though!!!

  • Niki could though.

  • I Think He Could... Buts Thats Me Throu So I |Dunno Its Up to Amrica Realy...X

  • what the hell was all that about

  • Ermm, Maybe in like theatre or something i think

    I certainly think Niki can!

  • um...YES

the judges said it themselves, he can sell records world wide

  • I'm an American and I adore him! I think he can do anything he wants...he has amazing talent!

  • Rhyian is simply and purely one of the most beautiful man I have ever seen. Something addictive about him!!! He is simply georgeous

  • yes you are right perfect singer i love him

  • i think the same thing lol

  • I am in Australia, but originally from Wales, and I don't like music, yes I know sacriledge! I came on the YouTube to try and find something about Rhydian as my relatives in Wales were raving over him. Now,I cannot stop listening to him singing, and this is from someone who really, really dislikes music!

I can't wait to buy his cd.

  • WOW!!! ireally hope he can make it big in other countrys he is such a good singer i love him im a huuuuge fan :D good luck rhydian!!!

  • im confused

  • i think you need to start opening your fackin ears cause rhydian is the best singer ive herd this year and he will defo win everytime so for now untill he does something fans woukd like you to shut up and dont judge him unless you know him ok

  • what the hells that?

  • Do you think all the others could cry their way through the u.s. what a terrible year for cry babys and sob stories. Rhydian is a no nonsense singer with a real stage presence. When he sang the phantom he showed the world how good he was. When the yanks get a wiff of him they'll love him like they have Paul Potts. I bet America cant wait to see his duet with Kathrine Jenkins. I know I can't

  • well said my friend Rhydian is a legend... i want to buy a cd of him for my wife for christmas...looks like i cant now....Booo!

This was another fix by the tv again!!!

  • To The Sceptics...

    This is Show-Biz...

    Rhydian is a Show-Man...

    And he's a brilliant Showman.

In fact, I predict a very successful career as film actor...!!!

  • I am an American living in GB and I can tell you this boy can crack anything. He has perfect pitch, and doesn't hurt my ears. He's way too young for me to have a crush on him so it must be his voice! I come to utube over and over again just to listen to him!

    Love ya

    suzi

  • I agree ForeverDressage... I am a Canadian living in GB... I know he could make it in Canada. I totally enjoy his voice and his level of professionalism. He's ready for the world stage!!

  • yes he can

  • Pffffft, he can conquer anywhere that recognises talent.

  • Yes, plainly. He's going to be a busy entertainer...such a big world, so many countries, so many venues. I can see him being huge in Japan, the EU, South America...and Rhydian MP3s being played by the guys manning the stations at the South Pole. Rhydian is universal.

  • haha... South pole... nyahahaha. He's just too good. Apparently Switzerland hate him though...

    Fools.

  • Bet the Swiss bankers will come to love him someday soon. He may make a bit of currency on his way in the world.

  • Hmmm. I can imagine him in the theatre kinda.

  • He already has! I'm setting up an American fansite...Rhydian DOT us this week. Awaiting his world tour. Send Rhyd to the world, Simon...safest bet you'll ever make.

  • I just can't wait for Rhydian to conquer America!

  • if rhydian gets the full support and backing of the english establishment then he has a chance to go to america with a good platform then its up to the americans if they like him as much as some of us brits. personally i think the yanks love talent and showmanship and they tend to do thinsg with flair so I think they'd love our Rhyd. the kid's a genius

  • I think he will be very successful

    in America

  • as i politely said before

shut the f**k up and sit yr a*s down

  • knockudafu where is this racial slur

coming from? What r u? green? we don't hate green people we listen politely in this public forum and then politely tell you to shut the f**k up and sit your a*s down.

  • *sends you to jail*

    Rofl.

  • and where will u be? in the scullery doing the dishes?

  • lol, well said

  • Ofcourse he can America loves reality singers en josh groban. Rhydian can easily do it

  • ubornthick, Rhydian is a super talent, with incredible voice, even we Americans can recognise that. America loves beautiful voices (Elvis, 3 tenors, sade, garth) no matter what genre of music. Its about packaging and marketing. He needs a good manager and PR. Hes got it made.

  • malloryca: absolutely, 100%, word for word.

  • Yeah, They even liked Paul Potts, they'll have to like Rhydian - he beats Paul Potts hands down. Not the greatest but still great.

  • America likes personality, people who are not afraid to do big new things, who take a chance, who are confident and talented

  • But we hate too much stage makeup and too formal costumes LOL. Natural is best.

  • You have to understand "theatre".

People LOVE theatre for many reasons: costume, makeup, imagination, creating strange entertaining choreography, weird stories (or beautiful musicals), makeup it is an essential part. It goes back thousands of years - see the Japanese Kabuki theatre - thats ancient. Google it for more info if you havent heard of it.

  • Of course I know Kabuki. But he's not a Kabuki actor silly you. Yes, SOME people love theatre, but he wants to be a pop star, not an actor. What are you talking about? You're totally off topic.

  • oh dear... let me spell it out. You were on about stage makeup and I pointed out that costume, paint, makeup is a long standing history of stage and I gave you i.e. Kabuki, to highlight how far back it goes. Ok, maybe if I gave you a Shakespearean example it would have sank in. This is a contemporary stage, a stage nevertheless, and Phantom OTO is a stage production with its own complexity. Rhydian was "in character"

Get it? You are a silly boy.

  • You still don't get it. Too funny!

  • no. YOU dont get it

  • I never mentioned Phantom. I was talking about his costume and makeup in all of his performances. He's relying too much on appearance. No one is asking for the know-hows of stage production. You're paranoid. Now lay off.

  • you are one dimensional single track copyboy

  • You're psychotic.

  • Yo.. coloursofluv... shut up when you know nothing about showbusiness. I can tell you haven't been behind the scenes of ANY show. Even TV for that matter. Even your politicians get pampered with makeup before the spotlight hits them. Get INFORMED before you pass stupid comments dude!!!

  • You shut your big mouth tyazen. I happen to be in the entertainment business you nuthead. I left the comment "But we hate too much stage makeup and too formal costumes LOL. Natural is best." and psychotic malloryca was jumping all over me. Now tyazen, this discussion was finshed before you came here so you just keep your dirty nose out of other people's business. Don't waste more space in this section you idiot.

  • Elvis is now history Rhydian WILL BE GOING WEST AND THE GAYS WILL HAVE TO GO EAST HE can start with a boston tea party and finish drawing a line in the sand in the Alammo

  • Rhydian has the potential to be huge world wide IF handled right by Cowell. He's the problem and only seems to have time for that awful Leona.

  • Win or lose, we're anxiously waiting for him to arrive in the USA with all of his brilliance and arrogance and crazy cool and mad mad mad mad talent!!! We adore you, Rhyd!!! Love from Dallas, Texas!

  • um ok ?????????

  • Yup: I love Rhydian. God Bless Britain for producing such a kookoo-for-coconuts, crazy-ass-killer pop maniac!!!

  • God love America

  • America?? he`s got the "WORLD" at his feet!!!
