The only thing that would make slinky better is if he didnt have the string on the frount becuase he donst have that on the movie! I wanted one of these aswell when i was little! Slinky was my favourite wheni was little i loved evreything about him now i like hamm the same much but slinky has a huge peice in my heart from when i was little

The string is helpful if your letting lil ones play with it. So they don't stretch and break it. Also since it's on wheels you don't want to have to stretch it to its max to pull it. I find the string in the middle of his eyes much more annoying... but want him anyways! xD

They still have that string between his eyes... Its pictured differently on the packaging with the string on his chest in front. I saw it today at Toysrus, but I didn't know how he would look like thanks to the packaging, so I didn't get it. Thanks to this video, now I know how it looks like.. Guess I won't be getting it becoz of the string inside the spring... Maybe it can be cut off...hmmm..

i have the same one but it came with a certificate and it said its on his head because if its on his neck the heavyness of his head will make him fall over when you pull him so right before he was realesed they put it on his head

Originally placed on his chest, the leash was relocated to his head before production in 1953 in order to keep his head up while walking.Today, the leash is shorter to comply with federal safety regulations"

Everything I've heard tells me Blake Clark sounds exactly like Jim Varney's Slink. Brilliant casting on their part.

Anyway, this slink isn't very accurate at all. most obvious being the string location, but there's also a ton of other things. hind legs are too short, muzzle is all wrong, Ears are differently colored on the underside, lack of articulation, tail isn't springy enough, and should taper in more. A guy a know is making an accurate one, which I plan to review in about 2 weeks.
