  • and not a mention of Christ ,the message is love ,but also condemnation ,fire and heat ,never one without the other

  • I love SF's passion, too bad it's wrapped up in a false gospel.

  • All he needs is a baseball bat.

  • The truth is "hate speech" only to those who have something to hide.--Michael Rivero

  • This PASTOR is not a joke, Or a "douche" he is a man who is sick of hearing people talk down about his church. I personally attend his church & his sermons have changed my life. People are always saying how his church is a "cult" & how we don't really worship God, well I can tell you one thing, we do. I have never felt the presence of God so strongly as I have felt it in this church. This church is doing great things, through the glory of God. Pastor Steven is amazing. He speaks God's word.

  • The Church that sticks in their traditions is dying. God never changes, but people do. Steven is simply sick of "Christian" people putting down his church, and coming down on their ministry because they are different. I say good for him for sticking up for what he believes and what the people of his ministry are doing. Just because he isnt traditional doesnt mean he is wrong. There are so many people looking for Christ but cant find Him...Steven is simply giving them another opportunity.

  • @bigtorquehemi Actually, according to Romans 3 (particularly verse 11) no one is seeking Christ.

  • @bigtorquehemi People aren't critical of furtick because he is different.Elevation isn't different, they are exactly the same. When I say the same I am sayimg they are the same as the world and sharing in the lusts of the world. They say they want God but the God they are being taught is not the God of the Bible. People simply need to compare all of these 'seeker' preachers to the Bible and when you do you will find a sharp contrast. Study ALL of God's word and it will be clear.

  • @titus2one you are so wrong...Its useless argueing to u who are stuck in their ways. I didn't come here looking for a fight so I will leave it at that. I will say this though..if Jesus came into town and he was looking for people that were tired, worn, and weary..sick of life, needing Salvation, do you think He would go around visiting all the churches? NO! He would go where the people that needed Him were.

  • @bigtorquehemi The fact is that He would probably go to most of the churches and tell them to get off their dead rear and start doing His work like he told them too in the first place. Quit waiting for people to come to you and get out there and bring them to me.... You people are blind

  • @bigtorquehemi Well said

  • He seems really douche-y. And did he actually even say anything?

  • i will choose to be a toddler any day, steven furtick is that yo name,yu sound angry and very arrogant a bit of boasting and self seeking, not kind at all,no patients o and 1 mo thing not forgiving, well done you must be proud of yourself morden day pastor, woo woo.

  • This video is obviously about shining light on HIMSELF, for the purpose of receiving the glory and affection from his people, for "standing up" for his church and for the gospel. Unfortunately, the focus is all on himself and his own "righteousness." So sad. Anyone who truly knows Jesus will see right through him and his pep rally.

  • why does he rhyme so much? it's hard to understand what he's even saying.

  • Blah-blah-blah-blah...

Who exactly is this big-mouth talking to?

Let me guess, to those who stand for the Truth and esteem it over anything else?

  • @SerJahPhoto actually yes, Jah, that is who he is talking to. People who stand for the truth in God's word. you didnt get that?

  • I think Pastor Steven is right on the views of people who tend to shame others or should I say shun ,so past tense this is the age of Honor.Lets lift others and not point out their faults.I have experienced what my Pastor Steven is talking about. That is the only way you can see, hear and experience is with Gods word.Elevation Church is Love .Thank you Jesus for Man of God.

  • I'm saddened that these new age teachers feel the "new" means better and have to somehow make the gospel more attractive. What an arrogant fool. Every generation deals with self glorifying man centered preachers like this.

  • This guy is a joke. He talks about hating and pontificating. That is exactly what he is doing in this video. Sad that he has to stoop so low to make a video to defend himself. A silly childish, "I know you are but what am I" kind of video. I am tired of these young punk celebrity pastors with their man centered numbers game. I guess having a big church gives you a ticket to say whatever you want and condemn anyone who calls you out. What a joke.

  • @bigtorquehemi How old is your church?? I'm glad to see someone here understands!!! But you're exactly right! We never talk bad about other peoples churches. I used to go to traditional church. I have no problem with it. It's just not my style. I don't go telling the people there that they need to go to elevation cuz their church is bad. We need to realize that we're all one through Christ. Stop getting caught up in all the church drama, you know? Steven furtick doesn't care if you go to elevat

  • @poczech Our church is only about a year old...small town of about 20,000 people and we are growing fast. God has blessed our church. We play a couple elevation worship songs. Our band is mostly musicians that spent many years playing in bars, including myself. We also get judged because of that...its in our past, and all of us are dedicated to Christ now in our music and our lives. And i'm proud of Steven Furtick for standing up to these "Christians" throwing stones at him.

  • People don't seem to understand who this is meant for. Steven Furtick did this for people who hate on his church and judge his church. I go to Elevation. I was one of 12 students selected to be in a small group led by pastor Steven. He is one of the coolest, nicest, and Christ centered people I've ever met. I guess you can never really understand the meaning of this video unless you go to elevation church. I've been there two years, and I get so much crap from all the haters that have never bee

  • @poczech I'm totally with you!! Our church is based off elevation and we get the same thing from other churches...They hate on us because we're different that the "norm" and people are leaving their churches to go to ours. We never talk bad about their church, but they seem it necessary to put us in our place because we r different...very frustrating.

  • I think you are mistaking elevation church with Joel osteen. Elevation always puts out an invitation. The lights, the music, the preaching help people get to the place where they can worship. Shame on you people for being so closed minded to this ministry that is changing lives, and bringing so many people to Christ that would never go to a "traditional" church. We as disciples need to do what's right to bring the message to everyone, not just the people who wanna be there.

  • He has a face that you would never tire of slapping

  • "@jamesevanoff watch Paul Washers "decisional regeneration". "Decisions" for Christ lead to false converts. The gospel converts and Elevation, like most seeker sensitive churches, is long on style and short on substance. The gospel is rarely heard in these churches."

I've heard the gospel very clearly preached and presented by Steven Furtick. I suppose we will have to respectfully agree to disagree. Most churches have become seeker sensitive over the last 30-40 years. Doesn't make it wrong

  • @jamesevanoff You say most churches have become 'seeker sensative' and that doesn't make it wrong? The seeker sensative model isn't even Biblical at all. You can't bring in a group of worldly carnal people, entertain them with lusts of the world, and speak one verse topical 'presentations' that never touch on the true attributes of God and call it a true Church. We, in America, certainly have turned Christ's Church into a business organization where God is a product.

  • @titus2one I think you confuse "seeker sensitive" with watering down the gospel. Seeker sensitive doesn't mean that we don't preach the bible or that we don't give clear, concise, straight to the point presentations of the gospel. It means that we don't become so rigid and black and white that we lose the love and grace of Christ in the message. We don't scare people away with our Christian-ese, but we still clearly proclaim God's word.

  • @jamesevanoff That's why the apostle Paul said that "I have become all things to all people so that by all means possible some might be saved." That's an example of seeker sensitive. I quoted the scripture without making the unbeliever feel inadequate or in some way uneducated, even though in biblical matters they are.

  • @jamesevanoff The seekers love to take this verse out of context to attempt to justify their misguided theology. From your interpretation of Paul saying he was all things to all people you are saying he became like the world to reach the world. Not true at all. Study the text. Paul was contrasting his presentation of the Gospel to the Jews versus presenting it to Gentiles. The seekers dont even present the true Gospel.Yes, they say Jesus is Lord but Satan knows Jesus is Lord.

  • @jamesevanoff The Bible says preach the WHOLE Bible. The latest seeker fad of Hybels and Warren is all a evangelical get rich quick scheme, furtick included.I have seen the inside and notice what Noble, furtick, bell, driscoll push, numerous 'conferences' with the latest new thing for sale and church franchising where they set up multiple locations for people to watch them on the big screen and take up guilt offerings while they brag about the 'numbers'. That is not Christianity.

  • All on the same team people. I don't condone his video. I understand why he did it, but did he need to make it? Probably not. Do you need to hate on him because he's allowed God to use him to reach the masses (1 Cor 9:22)? My guess is it's a pride thing, jealousy thing, nose out of shape thing. None of that is Godly either. This vapor we have called life is our only shot to win souls for Christ. Be about that and not ripping others who are actually in the arena. That's for all, Steven included.

  • @jamesevanoff What you are saying is that Furtick is far too immature to be a senior pastor... and I agree.

  • @titus2one And no, that is not what I'm saying. It is immature to put words in other's mouths or attribute statements as fact when, indeed, they are not. We are all sinners in need of a saviour. The fact that we get/are saved doesn't negate that biblical truth. We still sin, fall short throughout our lives. That's why we worship God and not the pastor. Humans, even saved ones, will fall short and disappoint us from time to time. Thanks to Jesus, when we fall we don't have to stay down. Get up!

  • @titus2one Just curious... What is your viewpoint and opinion on Bishop TD Jakes?

  • @jamesevanoff He is what is known as a 'prosperity' preacher. The prosperity gospel reached its prime in the 80's and 90's and some can't let it go, the money that is. Some are misguided into thinking that if they preach a form of the gospel they are entitled to wealth. That is not Christianity. The disciples were poor and most killed for their spreading the true Gospel. My opinion of TD Jakes? He is financially prosperous.

  • It's a shame that because he's different he gets hated by other Christians. If people spent as much time worrying about and fixing themselves as they do everyone else around them they would be a lot better off. i'm ashamed of you, and its "christians" like you that so many people today don't wanna go to church.

  • @bigtorquehemi People cannot "fix" themselves because they are unable to, thats The Holy Spirits job, but they do however have the ability to check a persons doctrine against scripture and point out the obvious goat herder.

  • @bigtorquehemi Churches like these have certainly made people want to go to church haven't they. Hard rockin' music, constant entertainment, no-guilt sermons. What we are calling church today doesn't seem to resemble Christ's Bride at all does it. Many of today's so-called churches seem to be no more than tax exempt organizations and the seeker organizations are no more than a modern pyramid scheme.

  • @titus2one then I guess we as Christians will just keep doing the things we've always done. We will dress up and go to church on sunday and sing our hymns. Millions of people are out there needing Christ. People are dying every day. People who need Christ but can't find Him. Don't come down on Elevation Church because its different than yours..I bet this ministry has changed more lives in one service, than yours has in the last ten years.

  • The devil is very sneaky he can sneak in just enough truth of God's word to make it seem good. And the devil does it here with Stephen, so into making anyone who tries to help others seem like the bad guy. The devil is very hard to catch. But he's on a short rope.

  • Why do I have this feeling that this is a personal attack towards Todd Friel? At least the video was made because of Wretched TV.

  • I dont like furtick at all

  • omg i am going to ugh if i was saying stuff about your Pastor even if you don't have one you would get mad so watch what you say before you say it because you are dissing one of God's children and one of my brothers in Christ so i would like to ask you to stop please thank you very much

  • This is what you call "INFOMERCIAL CHURCH"

  • @FAITHandLOGIC you are wrong. He is a true man of God just preaching the gospel. i love being a member of his church.

  • @crunkcymbals09 Of course you do. Lukewarm people love lukewarm preaching.

  • Dude that guy needs to shut it i bet he has never been to one of our church services before. I have gone to Elevation now for 4 years and yet he has the audacity to say that wow. He should actually listen to what Pastor Steven in saying instead of making fun of it wow......again. He is has helped save over how much like maybe 10,000 people and you can say that i am ashamed

  • I attended the service this was shown at. This video can be taken out of context if you weren't there. The sermon was on honor. And it kicked off Love Week. What so few of you are showing in these comments. Lots of people love to see a 5 minute video and act like they know the heart of a pastor. People in the Bible stood for what was true and made HUGE waves. He's doing the same thing. And it's not like he needs youtubes support, he has 10,000 supporting him weekly. And countless others online.

  • @Persilver40 no way you went to love week to oh i loved it so much and your exactly right i mean they don't know our Pastor at all

  • @dancinginrain101 Haha yeah we were visiting because we went to the live recording of their new album. It was so awesome! And I think Furtick is used to getting tons of heat because he is different. You know, like Jesus. I wonder why some people are so offended by him wanting people to ENJOY the service. He's far from watering down Jesus. A long long time ago, before TV and internet people would go to church for fellowship, food and entertainment. He's just doing things others are scared to try.

  • @Persilver40 He doesn't get heat because he's different. He get's heat because he's childish, outlandish and cries like a baby (hence the video) when others have an issue with his watered-down crap. Read Christ's message to the lukewarm church of Laodicia in Revelation 3. That is the definition of Furtick's church and others like him.

Don't feel too special. Furtick is one of many wolves in sheep's clothing.

  • @Persilver40 If you draw people with carnal means you will have to keep them through carnal means. That is not Christianity.

  • @titus2one it's sad that you see things this way. Church SHOULD NOT be a private club where the same people go and worship every week, and thats what the church of today has become. The church that hasn't changed to adapt to society is dying. People wanna go to a church that they can feel love and Gods' Grace, not sit next to someone in their sunday best singing bringing in the sheaves, feeling judged the entire time. This is NOT Joel Osteen...this is elevation.

  • ...when skateboarders become pastors...???

  • I had the honor and privilege of attending college with Steven. He is a true man of God and all of you naysayers who don't know him personally shouldn't judge him. He's been on fire for saving souls every since I met him him. Before the books, videos and tv shows, he was on the battlefield for Christ. I'm sure he's praying diligently for all of his "haters" everyday. He was the same in 99' just as he is today. For those of you who know it all, you know absolutely nothing. It's a shame.

  • @102lilprecious It's called Christless Christianity. Steven Furtick runs a church of entertainment.

  • @FAITHandLOGIC um no he doesn't um he runs a church who only worships God so watch it

  • @dancinginrain101 If you don't like my comments, do something about it.

  • @102lilprecious I would simply question your definition of what a 'true man of God' is. I have seen Furtick speak many times and you will have to look long and hard for much truth in his speeches. If you are defining a true man of God by what american christianity defines, that is one thing. But the truth is, furtick and this seeker mad church franchising scheme is not true Christianity and Furtick seems to be less of a a man of God and more a 'boy of the world'.

  • @titus2one Sad that you would confuse truth with style. He's not everyone's cup of tea, much like Billy Graham wasn't in his day. However, you can't argue with the number of lives changed and decisions made for Christ as a result of Furtick allowing God to use him and speak through him. How many people have you allowed God to lead to Christ through your word and actions? Hopefully many. Just remember, we're on the same team if you are a born-again believer. You do you and let Steven be Steven.

  • @jamesevanoff watch Paul Washers "decisional regeneration". "Decisions" for Christ lead to false converts. The gospel converts and Elevation, like most seeker sensitive churches, is long on style and short on substance. The gospel is rarely heard in these churches.

  • @102lilprecious If a persons doctrine is faulty, knowing them personally will do nothing to change that fact.

  • So this is what I gathered from what he plainly laid out:

He said it all himself this time -

He has ears, but he can't "see what you see".

He talks about The Bible, but he doesn't "read what you read".

He thinks highly of himself but doesn't "think what you think".

He blatantly left out the part of The Spirit being TRUTH.

All this talk of CHANGE, focus on CHANGE, and that's what separates us. It does separate us, 'cause bro, not to hate, but God DOES NOT CHANGE.

  • not all pastors are like this.... this guy is lost. God is love

  • All of the atheists i know are perfectly happy, full of love, acceptance and kindness. its kinda funny when i ta;l to my christian friends, only to hear how lost i am because i haven't found god, and i listen to "demon music", and yes, that has actually been said. gotta love it

  • I especially like how the pastor worked in so much scripture to the message.

  • Oh for Christ's sake just FUCK OFF already! Thank you for proving that humans really did come from monkeys.

  • If you understnad what he is saying he is speaking against people who are against the church as a whole. He is not putting down other denominations.

  • this is what causes division in the church.... if someone or a group does not agree with the way you do things in the body of Christ you do not make videos like this, you love them and keep advancing the kingdom of God.... this kinda stuff just brews anger and division in believers which the bible warns... Whats scary is sometimes we do things on purpose to anger people but hide under "I'm doing this my way for Christ"

  • @hughjones92 Unfortunately you failed to understand what he is really trying to say. Few people in the Christian Church have the guts to stand for true gospel while others grow complaisant to they ways of this world.

  • @hughjones92 This doesn't cause division IN the Church... this guy tricks people into thinking they belong TO a Church. If he ever had the Holy Spirit in him, his ego crowded Him out LONG AGO! Funny thing is....the 'people' to which this video is aimed never turn off comments when they criticize his mis-handling of The Bible and God's Word. He (and everyone else) is open to respond and converse about it. He (Furtick) is not at all interested in Biblical correction or accuracy for that matter.

  • @1chicagodave dude let me ask you something have you been to one of his church services no that's what i thought i have now shut it because you don't even know what you are saying

  • Sounds like he doesn't have a real message, but he just wants to hear the sound and rhythm of his own voice.

  • @formerevolutionist - more like his writer's voice. He's not THAT clever... or rhyme-y. :-)

  • What? This toddler sounds like he was "getting high on the peace train" before he recorded this incoherent drivel.

  • Can Furtick glorify himself any further? What a joke. These modern pastors are nothing more than Corporate CEO's and entertainers.

  • @FAITHandLOGIC

Gloryify himself? When did he once speak on how great and mighty he was? Never. I don't understand the trollers on youtube saying he is conceited. HE HAS AUDACIOUS FAITH, I'd consider myself a deligent listener and the word he spoke was out of the bible.

  • @Kierstinjade123 Are you freaking serious? Did you watch the video? The music, the stars and spotlight, the attire. This guy screams arrogance. His church and others like it are based on entertainment and sociology. You've proven your childish understanding by labeling me a troll. Only children use name-calling.

  • @FAITHandLOGIC

So what you're implying is God doesn't want us to have nice things? You're funny. You just said I'm childish. I'm not here to argue, I'm labeling your youtube comment.

  • @Kierstinjade123 LOL. Creflo Dollar, is that you?

  • @FAITHandLOGIC

    oiii you're a silly person

  • @FAITHandLOGIC

So he can't have a nice video with effects? Hahahahahaha whatever dude. I didn't know to be a christian we have to dress terrible and having nothing nice.

  • @Kierstinjade123 I think you're missing the point. Typical of immaturity resulting from churches like this.

  • @FAITHandLOGIC oh shut it you don't know what your saying so watch what you say before you say it

  • @dancinginrain101 So, you're telling me what I know and what I don't? Wow! You must be a person of God, since you have such special abilities. Did you acquire those at Steven Furtick's church?

  • @FAITHandLOGIC um actually i just don't like the fact that you are trashing on my Pastor so yea i am a person of God you got a problem with that

  • @dancinginrain101 Too bad. From what I see in this video, your "pastor" is a cartoon character.

  • What's this talk of learning Ephesians in Hebrew? I always thought it was written in Greek. Cool on the baptisms, but you should be praying for the "alcoholic cousin" too.

  • We baptized 1426 people in one weekend. What have you done for Christ lately? Oh, you learned how to read Ephesians in Hebrew? Cute. How's your alcoholic cousin doing? Haven't talked to him in two years? That sucks.

  • @kingghostBASSWEIGHT what is wrong with you? You keep boasting about things YOU did. You seriously need to get out of that church! Flee! Your soul is in peril! Repent from you sins, turn to Christ and trust in Him alone for your salvation!

  • @marushamomma We give all the glory to Jesus, of course... who else could create such a wonderful event? You're judging someone's heart... over the INTERNET, no less. I'll pray for you.

  • @kingghostBASSWEIGHT I see here you are trying to hide your true nature. You aren't pretending to be so kind on my video. Anyway, if anyone truly was saved in that event, it is despite the event, not because of it. Please, repent and trust in Jesus alone for your salvation.

  • @kingghostBASSWEIGHT Oh shut up. Your baptisms are nothing more than entertainment spectacles in your circus of a church. People are saved by the truth and Word of God, not this seeker-sensitive nonsense.

  • I love it ))) Todd rules the You-Tube!

  • sounds like Rob Bell...you sure someone didn't put Rob Bell in a time machine and then put some sound affects with what Rob was saying and then upload it to youtube in the future? lol

  • "embrace a new way to change the world," says it right there. that's okay buddy, you can go with the new, I'll stick with the ONLY and His name is Jesus.

  • The Apostle Paul was very clear, challenge false doctrines wherever you find them.

This emergent gent needs to read more of Paul's Letters.

  • Is he criticising Todd for criticising?

It would seem you guys at Wretched are stirring a hornet’s nest, could it be a hornet who wears thick rimmed fashionable glasses and whose surname rhymes with Hell?

Keep going guys when Satan comes after you, you should be encouraged because you are being effective for God’s Kingdom!

  • Todd's joke was worse

  • ROFL is this guy for real?

  • Haha as this guy trying to do a spoken word or a freestyle rap? Its like he was trying to rhyme but kind of didnt.

  • oh, just to let you know. Your starting to act like the View gals... need a bit more research and explanations my friend.

  • Oh geez..... Todd The guy was talking about the atheists/annoying "hater" comments on youtube, facebook, etc. He was not talking about you.

  • @jr52990 Look at this: wwwDOTstevenfurtickDOTcom/video-blog/hey-haters-2/

From the article: "And this is nowhere more true than in the Body of Christ at large. I’m tired of people slinging hate at other churches and pastors, and for the Church being known more for what it stands against than for what it stands for.

So as part of the kickoff to our Honorology series this past weekend, we showed this video as a little message to all the haters in the Body of Christ."

  • A rhyming pastor? humm....

  • Lame... both of them....

  • Todd should have commented a bit more on that
