Dogs do have pads on their feet, but sidewalks and roads can get very hot in the summer and can burn their feet, especially tiny feet like that dog's. I'm going to get boots for my dog because she runs so much in the dog park that she files her nails passed the quick and bleeds(or breaks off nails completely). Research before being judgmental, thanks.

Its actually suprisingly very helpful and somewhat comfortable for dogs to wear these boots. As funny and as unpractical as it may look, they work for hot pavements in the summer and for frost bite prevention in winter for the modern dog. They aren't wolves anymore. They're domestic, so they arent as rugged as their wild cousins. They need the pertection.

It's weird, some dogs actually need the extra support due to foot issues o.O. Other times, they need them for the winter to prevent frostbite, lol. I'd assume they would be for older dogs whose footpads may be worn down? I dunno why they develop the problems, to be honest.
